There's a fuel pump that supplies fuel to the front cylinder. Its actually a slave set up.. The gas line actually runs from the fuel pump up through the middle of the frame under the seat and tank, along the wiring harness and under to the petcock. Still leaves room for a filter. I got a 96 myself with a few hacks done to it listed on my channel. I actually got rid of the hydraulic clutch and put a cable on mine. It gives my cammed 1250 sporty a run for it money and doesn't leak like the other either lol..

Burgundy or red with the crackle effect would’ve looked killer! Also did you do anything to sync the carbs? I get a delay on power when I went to get on mine it gets up to speed but either lags or it’s messy. Any advice? I tried using the carb sync tools but I have the clock gauges and they’re really sensitive if you touch them. So I don’t know how much I trust them to sync. I was going to try to just mess with synchronizers screw until it sounds and rides good by ear and feel. Please let me know if you have advice thanks! Your family rocks!
I've done nothing to sync the carbs all I did was add non ethanol 93 octane and replaced gas tank, fuel lines, petcock, and fuel filter. I'm going to sync the carbs eventually but the bike runs to perfect to mess with it. I would try replacing simple stuff like fuel filter, make sure your petcock is flowing enough fuel change air filters make sure they are clean. lasty run a little seafoam in your gas tank should help clear up what's going on. you could buy the correct carb sync tool and watch some how to TH-cam videos on carb sync intruders

You scored on this one mine came out of sync I’ve gotten it a little blotter since this comment but still the power lags then kicks in strong like a bullet but just not super smooth :( I’ll figure it out eventually. I know it’s something with the synchronization on the idle and throttle sync. I bought a fancy digi sync for accuracy we’ll see if I ever get it to run like butter! Thanks for your advice. Most advice i get from fellas always ends with me responding, oh believe me I have XD

I have a 96 1400
It has the same mileage as yours lol and my other 1400 only has 5,000 miles!!

The 1400 handles poorly, the 800 handles well in the twisties. I've had both.

no this is the 1999 intruder I bought that had a crashed gas tank. I uploaded a recent video on the 1982 GS650
put a seat from an s50 which should fit, it would make this even more smooth.
