@@LARENT I wish someone had told me the same thing for the menu button. It took me like an hour to find out that the quick menu is not the main menu. 🤣 (Yes I feel dumb now).
Hey Brian maybe its something I'm doing but when I put my memory cards in with the preset you provided (using 128 GB sandisk extreme sdxc 150mb/s card) when inside it doesn't seem to see anything when going to all file and load media ( I've placed my card in both A & B slots) and the all file doesn't jump to the top. Am i doing something wrong to load the custom settings?
WHY WHY WHY did i have to do a 60 min+ search for the simple fact that the menu has to be hard held down to get into the deep stuff???? I guess this is what happens when they don't ship proper user manuals or offer helpful online manuals. Thank you good sir!!!!!

Hi :) I'm waiting for material about 28-135 :). I used to have this lens but 3 years ago I sold it pointlessly and now I am thinking of buying it again for the FX6 as a basic lens. I wonder if it is too heavy and I don't even mean the balance of the camera, but the load on the mount. When I used it with the A7Sii the camera was hanging on the lens so it was simple. on the other hand, the FX9 probably has a redesigned mount and such a heavy (and long) lens does not impress the camera. the question is therefore whether fx6 has a problem with running with this glass and whether you can easily fly with it holding only the camera :)

Hey Brian! You can HOLD the SandQ button to change the S and Q frame rate without opening the menu - you probably know this one by now 3 years later :)

Hi Guido, so you could use an external monitor via SDI or HDMI and see all the display info and you could use that to see your settings, menus and then use the buttons to adjust on the camera. You don't need to use the included monitor if you are set up like that but you will not have any touch abilities on the external monitor.

Hey Brian! Does the FX6 have the ability to set white balance to auto? I use this on the A7S3 during quick run and gun situations when I don't want to dial in wb. A7S3 does a pretty good job in most lighting conditions. Can't seem to find this feature on FX6 so how do you manage this?
Hi Leibman, the FX3 and A7S3 does have a better function with white balance, hoping that could be an update to the cameras in the future since they are using the same sensor.

Yes, in Slog 3 they match super well. its the same sensor! Hopefully A7SIII will get S-Cinetone but for now using the one that his guy did works well and matches well th-cam.com/video/H5Rat4xxkUg/w-d-xo.html

When you record in Apple prores raw HDMI, can change the iso of the camera and have it reflected in ninja atoms 5 I have that problem, the iso change is not reflected in the monitor, any idea?
One general question: In order to shoot in 50 fps should I go to S&Q mode (despite sacrificing audio) or simply change the system frequency from 25 to 50? What's the difference between both methods and which would you recommend?
@@limestone_xyz From testings I found out that shooting in S&Q mode not only takes away the audio but also the opportunity to use gyro stabilization in post. For that reason I always end up changing the system frequency when shooting 50 fps.

I'm curious why you have Scinetone gain settings at a base of 7db rather than the lowest iso at 320? I've tried finding answers to the best gain/iso settings for Scinetone and can't fine anything anywhere.
You need to stay at 800 ISO or 12800. U can go up to +14db at 800 and if you need more you go 12800. If you do anything else you fuck your dynamic range

The question I have is very important for me to make a decision, and the question is: as far as the FX6 has only XLR mic inputs, could be possible to get normal sound switching Lav mic system, such as Rode Wireless Go with an XLR to 3.5 jack adapter? Have anyone tried it? If yes ' which result? If not - why? Hope somebody will give the answer. Thanks in advance.
By the way, how do you handle hand held with the FX6? I find that I still get quite more shake than I'd like and setting the shutter angle anything more than 90° introduces a lot of blur in catalyst browse.
Instead of going over ALL the settings, I would have prefered the video showed me just the essential. I kinda get 'Simul Recording' means you record on both cards simultaneously.

You can hold down the S&Q button and it will bring up the frame rates and you can adjust from there 👍🏽

You can enable image zoom and still crop and get 4K. although you'll lose a bit of res

@@Studio-Kun yeah go in the menu and enable clear image zoom. Then zoom in to fill the frame and voila.

How do I display the date and time on my Sony FX6 output screen? I need to see the TOD on the edited video.

catalyst is not a good way to stabilize footage because you need to shoot at high shutter speed to achieve good results....
