    A trend I am noticing in these breakdowns is that in many of them, the actual case if far larger than it needs to be. A lot of us are using these in cars/trucks so the physical size is actually a factor. I have noticed some significant size differences between the common brands. Frankly I like the size of that one out of the case. Honestly it looks like 200Ah of those would fit in many 100Ah cases. Space is a premium in my truck and I want as much battery as possible in the least amount of space.

    • @MyGoogleYoutube
      @MyGoogleYoutube 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's why I did a diy 280ah build - nothing could cram 7.2kwh in the space I have without doing a diy build.

      I was wandering the same thing and telling myself that maybe there’s a technical choice behind it (heating/insulation). 👨🏻‍🔬
      The strategy recall a lot the marketing strategies used in food’s big distribution (cereal, powders, etc) 😤
      As cheap as these batteries are I’m considering buying 3 of them and “reassemble” them into a common space! 👨🏻‍🔧

    Cool to see something different. If I ordered one I'd probably pull that temp sensor off the fets and try to get it hanging out of the BMS...do you think two sets of cells could fit in one of their cases if someone wanted to condense space? That would require adding a second set of terminals but the box is so dang big....

    We all know that cheaper isn’t always better, but I think it’s time for our minds to shift from thinking that just because things cost less that they’re also closer to being garbage. Lithium has been around long enough for prices to be in this battery’s area.
    My only concern with this battery is the “rubber matter”. That will definitely create issues for the cells covered… no possible ventilation.

    At $279 each it makes this battery the least expensive lithium batteries per watt hour on the market presently, that I would consider purchasing for a large 48V battery bank system. Even for a 12V or 24V system, this is a very inexpensive battery. My biggest concern is the reliability of the BMS and the cells that are being used because, I can't find anything out about either one of them. Great video again, however, just like the rest of the videos you put out. Thanks!

    • @ReadyNeck
      @ReadyNeck 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There was no mention if the BMS would support a series connection of these batteries together to get a 24v or 48v system. The Amazon listing does say you can combine four batteries together for 48V but says that they recommend charging the batteries separately, which doesn't give me a lot of confidence in using it in such an arrangement.

      @@LithiumSolar If that was the case then a 24v 100ah would be the same as as 12v 100ah. Clearly not because you are taking the voltage into consideration, so you are indeed measuring based on watt hours (nominal volts * amps hours = watt hours).
      A 100 AH battery should have a nominal voltage of 12.8 which is 3.2v/cell. Doing some math 1224 / 12.8 = 95.6 AH @ 12.8 nominal. The other way around would be 1224 / 100.92 = 12.12v nominal which is below the 12.8v
      Compare this to your other battery reviews like the SOK battery and you will see the battery has a 12.8v or higher nominal voltage or at least 1280WH. You derive the AH rating based on the WH which is the proper way of measuring.
