Costs like 10-15 cents a burger TOPS, is much healthier, has less fat, more fiber, and just tastes better as it's not overly greasy. A single Impossible burger patty is like $4, that's crazy!

As someone who eats mostly whole vegan foods (veganism is for ethical reasons first and foremost. Plant based is for health so let's keep that separate) I have tried Dr. P's burgers and they're attreocius, but to mention they made me feel so unwell because of all the oils they have in them. Extemely oily burgers in my humble opinion. I don't get impossible burgers but I do get the beyond maybe once a year. Either way, i prefer to make my own vegan burgers from scratch and bake them.

There are multiple reasons one might do this. Some common examples would be: 1) they hate the texture of real meat but they like the taste so they replicate it. 2) they are eating vegan because they are against eating animals but still want to enjoy a burger taste sometimes 3) they have some sensitivity to meat and are avoiding real meat but want a burger sometimes. There's actually even a tick-derived allergy to red meat (i believe i might have it). Then there's 4) some people just really enjoy them. There are lots of non-vegans who enjoy veggie burgers more than real meat burgers or just as much. I personally think they taste better than real burgers. That's just my unpopular opinion/taste. but I'd only eat them in moderation since they're not extremely healthy of course
