What’s the implication? I think most people don’t like that takedown because the games defensive mechanics are kinda awkward at endgame for a tower defense kinda level. Especially since enemies are so tanky that if you don’t spec damage they get in on you and stop your crystal charging so you have to spec damage anyway. Survivability is mostly lifesteal and shield gimmicks so half the time the most intuitive strat is just to kill enemies before they kill you. I think long runtime + awkward defense/offensive anti synergy is what made the crystal sections not super fun. The atmosphere, lore, and bosses were all amazing imo. Just the charging needed a little more care given the glassy endgame. Either that or the endgame needed more care given these mechanics. I think even just disabling the mechanic that makes the crystals stop charging while enemies are nearby would’ve gone a long way in making defense feel more rewarding.
The point of this video is for people who give up and call the content bad because they cannot figure out how crystals works when its hand fed to you. The only thing not really told is the enemies stopping charging but its pretty simple to figure out. No shit people don't like it because they dislike crystals but its usually a skill issue or only using the top meta clearing builds and not actually exploring different builds. "you need damage to kill enemies with a lot of health" well.... yes I have complete guardian takedown crystals with no shields and 1 hp. It's fine And you never need to kill a single enemy at crystals. You can just draw aggro. You can still brute force if your builds allows you to or just simply draw aggro. It's not an anti synergy. The charging is fine if you aren't using a top meta build that clears everything with the click of the button. Enemies stopping the charge of crystals is a good mechanic. It just screams build issue if you either cannot kill them fast enough or do not have something to take aggro off of them. Mesmer is the easiest way and everyone can do it.
Charging crystals is one of the most annoying things of the takedown personally.
