Just wanted to say I think it's great you packed everything you felt you needed to be comfortable, even if your only there for two days hospitals are so uncomfortable that you want to bring as many comfort items as possible! Plus you can always store in the vehicle what you bring till you need it or what you decide you don't need.
Thank you for the kind comment! I am always the type to be over-prepared and it helps me feel more calm in stressful situations. I ended up having complications and need to stay almost a week. So I use a lot of the things I packed!
One of my nurses when I was pregnant saw that my nails were done, and she made a comment that once the baby was born I wasn’t going to have time to do my nails. Doing my nails is very much a part of my life and always has been ever since I was a kid, so her comment really upset me. I asked my mother if she felt that that was true, and my mother told me that children are a part of your life so however you were before you had kids, your hobbies, your interests, the way that you take care of yourself, your child just fits in with your lifestyle. That made me feel a lot better. So to the naysayers that say you won’t have time to do your make up, if that something that really brings you joy and is a part of who you are, I am sure that you will find the time
I tried not to stress out and I hardly even thought about it because I didn't want to freak myself out! Things rarely go perfectly or as planned with labor, so try to be positive and not stress out :)
Just found your Channel. Love your videos. Where do you get your tops from? I love the one you’re wearing in this video and the light pink one on the baby essentials video.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like them :) This floral dress is from Pink Blush Maternity! The pink top in the other video is from Nordstrom and the brand is Lush! xo
Thanks!! I figured the pink top was from Nordstrom by Lush as I have them in a few other colours. But I’m located in Canada and they no longer ship here :(
i am always confused by the quarters thing, then realized your dollars are bills, and suddenly it made sense, lol. i'm currently ttc, but love watching videos like this. you are gorgeous!
OMG where did you find those hats?? They are soo cute! We are expecting our baby girl On thanksgiving, looking for some cute hats for pics. :) GREAT job on your bag pack btw!
Great video! Just found your channel by chance and I subscribed! I'm pregnant too and I'll do a hospital bag video soon!! Love that PinkBlush dress!!! xo
Congrats doll! I hope you didn't take that big ol pillow! It's easy to use an additional hospital pillow and if you're not so comfy cover it with a blanket you like, for Breastfeeding.
The comments on this video are so awful! I'm a FTM too expecting my baby boy in August. I'm struggling not to overpack because I just don't know what I'll want or need. You did great :)
I started using the belly bandit in the hospital! I think it was Day 2! I started using the corset after a couple months. Both helped SO much. My belly is completely flat again!!
Girrrrrrrl that is a lot of stuff! Lol everyone takes what they want but in my opinion I would not want to be hauling all of that stuff around. When I had my daughter I wanted my main focus to be on getting through my labor and delivery. The only thing I packed was two outfits for my daughter, two for me, and some toiletries. Honestly I doubt that you're going to use all of that stuff. But I guess if that's what you feel comfortable with, go for it
I'm back home from the hospital and I ended up using a lot of what I packed! I was running out of things to wear after a couple days because they can get dirty fast in the hospital... Especially since I was in the hospital for 6 days!! But I'm the type of person who likes to be prepared and pack a lot, so it's different for everyone! :)
Yeah I was in the hospital for 6 days as well. Unfortunately my daughter had a pretty bad case of jaundice and required to be in the hospital for hose extra days. But she was only in diapers and wrapped in a blanket for the whole time since there really wasn't a point in dressing her. I only put her outfit on when it was time to leave. I also just stayed in the hospital gown until I was discharged and could wear normal clothes. Just my personal preference of carrying around less :)
Selin Sendur It always makes me laugh when people say that, I was told that comment multiple times of family and I ended up using everything because I lost a lot of blood and gad to stay for a long time! You can never be to prepared.
Katrina John no one ever answered you so, two months later! Thought I would haha... a lot of hospitals have a new born photographer that comes to see you and some women like to be in the pictures too and want to look nice for first family pictures. So, curling iron just to make her feel pretty after having a baby and for pictures. 😊
I visited a lot of women who gave birth and wore a corset/waist trainer a day after birth. They either wear the maternity one or one they usually wear before pregnancy but a size bigger. It's not as painful as it seems
I waited until I got home from the sooo tal to wear a band around my stomach. Only because all the skin felt really weird and I felt more secure with it on. But a corset? Not sure if I'd be comfortable in that.
I have worn my Belly Bandit for 2 weeks now and put it on the after giving birth and it has made such a difference! My stomach is almost back to normal again and it has helped with the stomach pain and back pain tremendously!
When I have my baby, I intend to use only organic, fragrance- and toxin-free hygiene and beauty products (actually, I already do that anyways). Newborns are so fragile and sensitive, and overpowering scents or even the fragrance or our body products can be overpowering. Besides, the most important scent a baby wants to breathe in, is the natural body scent of the mom (and dad, brother, sister...). I really think it is important to do some research on the products we use on a day-to-day basis, as many of them contain toxic ingredients. I would also be careful of the laundry detergent used to wash mom's and baby's items. Just suggestions, though ;-). Good luck!
Aisha Zee yes with my first I felt so much better and more "human" after a wash and my hair and make was done. Especially if these things are daily for you.
This video makes me feel dizzy, try not to move the camera so much, move slowly and in a more stable way. You also change focus too much. Congrats on the baby though.
I don't want to come across as rude, but what exactly did I copy?? My nursery is mainly ALL pink and white and hers is all grey? Also that dress I'm wearing was gifted to me from a maternity company so maybe they gave her the same one too... Just saying, I don't see what you think I copied. Her room is beautiful so even if I DID copy her, why would it matter?! lol
Katelyn Jones hahaha I just said that because you have a lot of cute things but when it comes down to it when the baby throws up on it and it’s stained forever it’s not going to be cute anymore so I was saying that .
Well I've been a mom for over a year now and still have lots of cute and pretty things for my girl that she uses and wears daily. I don't worry because I can wash it easily. We have washer machines... Just because I show lots of cute things in the video doesn't mean I don't know what its like to be a mom or what it's like to have a baby.

I used the same toiletries bag when I had my daughter 2 years ago today! I'm due with number 2 on New Year's Eve! Congrats!
Well done mommy , and happy first birthday to your little Angel 👼 🎂🎁🎉🎊🎈
I want to see the follow up on what you actually used. As someone who has taken many extended hospital stays you over packed by like 10x lol
you were very brave going with such light colours x

Great video! Your baby girl is going to be a little fashionista! Good luck to you! Btw you are so pretty!
Ur so sweet! Thank you
I thought your video was awesome! it's better to be over prepared then not at all! Everything was so cute, I love it!
Thank you! I ended up using so much of what I packed- so I'm happy I was over prepared than not! :)
Katelyn Jones

Congrats doll! I hope you didn't take that big ol pillow! It's easy to use an additional hospital pillow and if you're not so comfy cover it with a blanket you like, for Breastfeeding.
Katelyn jones you didn't really focus on the diaper bag but I was wondering is it a fawn diaper bag ? Thanks
I just used my diaper bag to put all of my daughter's hospital stuff in! It is from Fawn Design!
The comments on this video are so awful! I'm a FTM too expecting my baby boy in August. I'm struggling not to overpack because I just don't know what I'll want or need. You did great :)
Where did you get the carrying case filled with headbands, hair ties, bobby pins + clips from?
It is from Itzy Ritzy!
Where did you get the bows ? They are so cute.
Thank you! They are from the Modern Piggy! :)
Love your video! I'm all about making yourself feel human again after birth - make-up, hair, and all! Also using a Belly Bandit. :)
Looks like you are planning to move in a hospital for a month!!
Great video, you looks so professional already! Keep up the good work, it's always nice to see a fellow TH-camr grow! :) I subbed.
Thank you so much!! :))
How long do people stay in the hospital where you're from? Seems like a really long time! lol
I had to stay longer because I got a two infections during labor and had to be on antibiotics.
Awe that really sucks! Im glad you're better now! I hope you and the baby are doing well, would love to see more videos :)

Where did you get the chair from ?
It's from Target and the brand is Delta Children!
Do people really wear corsettes or wraps right after labor?? that seams terribly painful to me.
I visited a lot of women who gave birth and wore a corset/waist trainer a day after birth. They either wear the maternity one or one they usually wear before pregnancy but a size bigger. It's not as painful as it seems

How can u worry about hair and makeup when ur recovering from birthing a baby?
I was planning on taking photos at the hospital and wanted to look decent for the photos! lol :)
its a way of recovering from the birth
Aisha Zee yes with my first I felt so much better and more "human" after a wash and my hair and make was done. Especially if these things are daily for you.
Because each person is different and every birth is different. Quit being judgemental.
New sub
Holy shit, you moving into the hospital?
But good video!
Why would you wear makeup at the hospital, I would let my skin breath
I plan on taking pictures at the hospital and I like wearing makeup! :)
Marian Johnson nobody gives a fuck what'd you do. She wants to take pictures so why not wear makeup
You're going to give birth, not go to a hotel lol
I ended using a lot of what I packed! Especially since I was in the hospital for 6 days!
This video makes me feel dizzy, try not to move the camera so much, move slowly and in a more stable way. You also change focus too much.
Congrats on the baby though.
Good lord lol
Copied Aaryn Williams exact layout of her baby room and outfit that she worn when she was pregnant, everything 😳😳😳😳
I don't want to come across as rude, but what exactly did I copy?? My nursery is mainly ALL pink and white and hers is all grey? Also that dress I'm wearing was gifted to me from a maternity company so maybe they gave her the same one too... Just saying, I don't see what you think I copied. You are a beauty but why are you spending so much on Pajamas ??? It's I necessary. You will be bleeding and ruin them.
These ones are super comfy and thankfully I never bled on them!
Hahaha she has no idea about what happened when you have a baby
omg so funny... OBVIOUSLY I do. Why don't you go focus on your own TH-cam "mommy" channel and stop bashing mine.
Katelyn Jones hahaha I just said that because you have a lot of cute things but when it comes down to it when the baby throws up on it and it’s stained forever it’s not going to be cute anymore so I was saying that .
