Gosh it's so sad that lovely youtubers apologize beforehand in case their opinions offend people. Gosh some people are such trolls who can't just enjoy a free video without sharing their negative comments.

Lily201186 thats exactly what i wanted to say... so sad that she has to say a disclaimer every few seconds because dumb people wont get it if she only told once... or just shared her experiences without any disclaimers... #offendedbytheinternet

I prefer the outfits with the buttons because with the zipper ones I find you have to take off the whole thing and with the buttons you only have to unbutton the bottom for a diaper change

Or you can also get the sleepers that zip from the bottom up...

girl, getting dressed only gets harder! if you think dressing a little newborn is difficult wait until they can roll, sit up, crawl, and even run away from you! lol But agreed 100% on the zip ups, they are lifesavers.

So glad to hear that Babywise is still around. I used it 21 yrs. ago and it saved my sanity as a mom. The "experts" would tell me don't put your baby on a schedule. They were wrong. My babies were much happier on a schedule. Now my babies are 21, 19, 16, and 15 and they are still happy. Enjoy motherhood! Congratulations!

This video was so helpful to me. I am 29 weeks and recently started frantically researching what I will need and what will be useless. I love that you aren't about the name brand high tech stuff especially if it didn't work for you. Baby stuff can get pricey as it is so want to make sure we invest in the right "equipment." Thank you!

I just had a baby boy on Jan 20th and I completely agree in regards to the baby carrier, the Breastfriend and the swing. I was recommended the Breastfriend by a friend and because I had a c-section (Baby was breached) the support it gave me was amazing, something the Boppy totally lacks. The baby carrier I use on a daily basis so much that my husband purchased a 2nd one for him to wear. I have the Graco Swing (basically the same motion as the one you have) and we love it! Your little one is beautiful and congrats!!! Much love from Arizona

Loved the daddy clip and baby!! My baby days are over, my kids are 11&14, I loved and used almost 90% of the same products that you mentioned you liked, swing life saver, zip up stuff, baby wise, massages, only thing I did not know about was the supplement.
You are so blessed with a happy healthy perfect baby, lots love and kisses, It is hard work to be a good mommy.

I'm due with my first baby (boy!) in May and I've been waiting for this video! I had to take a look at my registry after watching this and remove some things and add others. I'm mostly excited to hear about a baby carrier that works so well and is inexpensive!! The ergobaby is $180 and I had it on my registry. Seems crazy expensive to me. So thank you for putting this together!!

HI!!! I just want to say, don't swear off wraps and the tula just yet!! look into woven wraps. There is a similar learning curve to them but it is so worth it!!! plus, they come in lots of pretty colors so they are a great accessory. the plus about woven wraps are their longevity and versatility.
as for the Tula, it will come in more handy later, but you could also look into kinderpack or ergo.

My son loved this swing! and yes he slept so well in it. However, one thing to keep an eye on is that possibility of flathead where he is resting his head. The doctor said whether it is the swing or the rock-n-play, the inclination causes pressure on the lower portion of the head. My son was recommended to wear a helmet but we took the risk and tried to be more cautious about limiting his time in that position and also using a pillow with a hole. It worked and we avoided the helmet! My two cents: use a thin small pillow with a hole when you're letting him be in an incline for more than 30 mins.

With regards to the gas - you also need to watch what you eat since you're breastfeeding- as whatever you eat - he eats. Also - you may want to take him to a chiropractor for babies - his back may need adjusting! Found that made a huge difference with my 3 children.

I love wearing my baby to be honest. It was a gift (my favorite) and it has saved us a lot of space while traveling since we could literally roll it up and put it in his diaper bag! We got a Fisher Price rocker with music and that is still working for us our son is 5 months. My breast friend pillow was better than the boppy also to be honest! We used the boppy lounger and the boppy pillow to make a thing we like to call "The Throne" lol running water faucet noise off of TH-cam is what saved us when he was under 2 months! It worked instantly!
Thank you so much for this video! I love watching every type of video you make. Very helpful whatever the topic may be. Please don't stop making them.

You need to look for Velcro booties!! There are a couple different brands that are big goumikids and zutano!!! Our baby didn't wear socks for like the first several months - they kept falling off and it was so annoying!!! These booties stay on and come in different material for warmer and colder weather!!!

    • @laurenwilliams6314

Don't toss the boppy! I agree! I had a tiny, terrible nurser. After a week home with her I also ordered the breast friend and used it exclusively until Abby was about four and a half months old. But when I hit fiveish months it magically worked wonders and it is still super comfortable for us now at 13 months. We basically used it for sitting support until that time.

Interesting choices, I am definitely going to invest in zip up baby onesies, why did I never think of that with my 16 month old? Now 13 weeks pregnant with baby number 2 and definitely agree that some stuff we bought last time was a waste of money but will be interesting to see if baby number 2 likes what our little boy didn't like, such as the swing. So much money we waste! Great video x

love these essentials! I had my 2nd baby this past Christmas Eve and wanted some ideas for better products this time around. I found the infantino carrier and the exact zip up sleeping thing today at a consignment shop after not finding the zip up at baby's r us, so excited! my breast friend is by far the one thing I can't live without, friends asked to borrow it and I never let anyone try it out bc I used it to nurse until my son was 2, and I couldn't go even a day without it. hope you're recovering and getting some rest!

For the jammies - our twins are 3.5 now and I still recommend the full zip jammies for them. They don't bust out of snaps or get bothered by buttons if they sleep on their stomach - they are very active sleepers now - and you may still need some quick changes as they get older until you potty train. Also, the zip up jammies will allow you to put them on backward if your child gets into a phase where they want to undress... and pull off their diapers. File that last tip away for when the time comes.

Well done! I wholeheartedly agree with the zip up sleepers, swaddles, swing (I too had a mamaroo and never once got baby to sleep in it) and carrier (baby was never comfy in the Tula and I don't know how people make those wraps work!!). Sometimes the simplest items really are the best!

I love how genuine and detailed this video was. It was nice to hear about what didn't work, too. I feel like I'm the only person in the world who prefers button up sleepers over zip up ones, haha. I think it was because our girl hated being undressed when she was a newborn, so button ups allowed us to only have to undress her to her waist.

for his gas, check what youre eating, dairy, broccoli, beans, etc is all transfered through breastmilk and can irritate their baby stomach. my daughter has horrible gas as well and when i cut out dairy she was like a brand new baby.

    • @vasseurbeauty
      @vasseurbeauty  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

thanks for the advice - yes I have cut out dairy completely (not easy to do as I"m sure you know, it's hidden in so many things) and so far I haven't noticed a difference. I think he may be taking in too much air when he feeds due to my oversupply/overactive let down....that's my current theory. I'm like a gas detective at this point haha!

Irma Reveles- Lightweight onesies! Easy to wear alone or layer. Snaps on bottom make it easy to change diapers as well.

HA you think dressing an infant is hard? Try putting clothes on a three year old who keeps taking his clothes off because you won't let him wear daddy's underwear and socks to school 😂

Hi! Someone probably already told you this but , you are not supposed to use a strapped carrier until your baby hits 6 months old or until he is able to sit by him self, it is preferably to use the wraps wile they still little. Regards!

I have just discovered your videos and channel at 9 months pregnant with my first. I know this video is old but I had to comment.
First, this video makes me happy bc I bought many of these products. As you said all babies are different but hopefully many of these will work for my baby.
Two, I love the candid dad moments at the end of your videos. It really sets you apart from all the other mom vloggers on TH-cam and theyre hillarious.
Definitely looking forward to seeing and watching more of your videos.

The breast friend nursing pillow link you put in the description box says it's only $4.62? Is that correct? That seems crazy cheap for a nursing pillow!!

My #1 product that I recommend to people is the AngelCare monitor. I agree with you regarding the wraps, at least the stretchy ones. Too much time wasted figuring it out! Also, your precious baby looks just like your husband.
