    ABOUT US:
    We’re traveling full time, living on our own terms and showing you the up-close-and-personal details of us figuring it out along the way. Sometimes it’s about navigating big, life-altering decisions. Sometimes it’s about navigating the seemingly lawless free-for-all that is driving in Hanoi. It’s moments of triumph and moments of panic. The good, the bad, the ugly - and most importantly, the real and real funny.
    We’re not here to tell you “how it’s done.” Just how we’ve done it. And that whatever it is that’s calling you - the way you’ll do it is much more attainable than it may seem. We believe the world’s a more interesting place when people reject convention in favor of what they actually care about. This is us putting that idea to the test - one budget spreadsheet, RV renovation and mountain-peak drone video at a time.

    Tim, Fin and Tuck.....Recliner Babe here again. Just perused your list of videos....WOW! Boy, am I a late comer.....I had no idea you had made so many videos....it will take me over 1 year if I watch 1 a day. At 88....can I do it? I dunno, but I'm sure gonna experiance adventureswithout leaving my recliner.
    I discovered the money load.....and on a day where the forest fires of Washington State have filled my home ( and my eyes and nose) with smoke.......FORTUNE SMILES.

    Fantastic and honest video with great humour and information ... as always! I was especially happy to hear that you supported the local and national parks as well as private campgrounds rather than bookdocking/stealth camping. We all gotta make a living and this year and likely 2021 and beyond, the tourism industry is in dire straights so thanks for your support! See ya next week!

    Many travel TH-camrs are stuck with vanlife during Corona. When you guys started doing vanlife I thought “not another one”. However, that was the best and most realistic vanlife video I’ve ever seen! You raise a good point that the US is crowded so spontaneously moving isn’t realistic. Looks more feasible in Australia where the beaches are better and the population is much smaller (after Corona) Personally, that $60-$100/night accommodation expense will get you way more value in Asia (in cities or in nature) but obviously that’s not an option currently. Thanks for your creative and authentic content :)

    Love how you guys always show the good and bad, not just the rosy inta-worthy stuff. I always wonder, for longer trips, how do women handle being on their period? Some people really struggle with knowing how many tampons or whatever to bring, finding clean bathrooms to use for that, cost and storage of those products, etc. Is that something you could touch on? Lots of women looking to do long-term travel and maybe too afraid or uncomfortable to ask but would like to know!

    First off, Tim, you are a very blessed man. Fin is everything! 🥰 Ive been a subscriber for about a year now and y’all are inspiring me to want to make the jump into hashtag #something or other. I can see your perspective and it makes sense, if you are coming from RV and Home Life that is. #vanlife is a lot of things but its not to be compared to rv’ing or home life. Van life is freedom for folks who typically do not have extra money or even credit or a way that they could travel and actually afford to sustain it. Van life is many times only graduated to after living in a car or SUV. Its leaving behind the rat race for a simpler more affordable way to start creating experiences. Some Van lifers start out with top of the line Sprinters and spare no expense building them out. But if you really look, the majority have done their best to create a home on wheels and land some job that they can work from the road and make this lifestyle happen. 99% of #vanlifers sold most if not everything they had of value to chase the dream and the last thing on their list is worrying if they will be crammed in and bumping into each other. Its a graduation from doable in whatever they have to high comfort in a tiny home on wheels if their lucky, hopefully in a newer nicer van. I love your video and I love y’all, but this video is going to relate to more well off RVers or folks who could pull the trigger whenever they want and on anything they want. It does next to nothing for a young surfer or a dred head who dreams of playing his drum in a circle with like minded free thinkers. The reason #vanlife feels like its being crammed down our throats is because the major % of these young people are trading a ho hum low paying lifestyle for a little piece of joy and a life if experiences they will never have trading hours for dollars. I myself own a business and cannot afford to buy the van yet. But when I finally do, it may be a ling wheel base talk sprinter with a one chair barbershop in half of it 😊😎💈🔥 keep making awesome videos. Ill be on the lookout for my “Fin” so that my channel can eventually support us. 😉 Its true right? How well would a channel called Eamon do without the Bec? Nine of these guys could carry a YT channel without the Power of that beautiful woman. I wish you all the best guys! ❤️🙏🏼

    An advantage to being almost 5’4” - beds usually aren’t too short for me 😬
    We have a 19’ Rpod - trailer box is 16’ or so, which allows us to fit in small campsites. And it has what we need - toilet, shower, table, bed that is always made up and a little galley. I’m older”ish” so enjoy a little bit of comfort, but we still spend most of our time outside!

    Hey guys whats up, hows it going? If your up near Yosemite you can actually hike Half Dome now. They installed cables so you can hike it without any serious rock climbing. It had just closed when I was there last fall because of ice. But if your able to check it out while the cables are open its supposed to be pretty great. Great views of the park. God bless have a great time.

    Thank you thank you thank you for sharing an honest opinion!!!!!! I have been obsessed with the whole traveling RV van life lately.) The whole “boon-docking” situation, I wondered about that. I doubt my husband and I would boon dock. Personally I would be concerned about safety as well. RV travel vans are so expensive right now too!!! I am trying to figure out how to make it happen in the future. (Korea has an adorable travel van that is affordable but unfortunately not for sale in our country.)

    @AstheMagpieFlies 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I just want to say that I appreciate Fin's outfits matching the theme of the van lol specifically that tshirt and the hoodie. Aesthetics on point :P
    Lol Thanks for the honest review from a perspective where vanlife isn't your whole brand identity.
    Not gonna lie I've been thinking about just getting a free topper off Craigslist for my f150 and just making a makeshift bed platform in it XD That way I don't even have to dump the money for another vehicle, I can use the one I already have XD
    I've looked at a lot of the nice fiberglass truck campers because those are the only ones light enough to put in a half ton, but they're even more expensive than buying a van!

    • @timandfin
      @timandfin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But your trailer is ready to hit the open road! Why worry about kitting out the truck? :) (Honestly, it would probably break less than that 30ft RV we drove around).
      Not sure who was setting these vans up for this rental company, but they were a tiny Honda generator and a AC unit away from being close to perfect.

      We did end up selling it. We were planning on selling it anyway and downsizing to a van in Mexico and beyond. Turned out, we're preferring these shorter 2-3 trips and then back up for two weeks. The nature of both of our work is something we figured out is just too frustrating to try to do constantly out of the country.
      Back to Mexico next month though!

    Dudes....is that a 2WD? If so, that sucks! Can't believe somebody doesn't make a legit 4WD camper van.....(w/ Left hand steering) Currently looking at old Chevy Astros with All-Wheel drive. But the (untapped) market is....small vans with 4WD. Camping based rigs.....that provide the access to off the asphalt. Things that rear wheel drive can't do. (like those damn Sprinters)

    I thought that video was awesome but at the beginning... look at pepper she'd does not give a fuck about what you guys are doing with the intro look at her she's just scoping out for something to kill she's a beast!!!😁 No I think it's cool now you guys are doing the pros and cons I actually live full-time in a 30-footer with two queen size beds 2 full size beds full kitchen. Shower hot water generator the whole nine yards... I was originally just looking for a van to throw a mattress in the back of and I was going to go to Planet Fitness and covid-19 hit and not that many places to find a shower at so I'm a little bit spoiled I don't think that I would ever give up what I've got but I would also buy a second rig more like what you guys have just as a Weekender but a lot of people don't realize the smallest things and I really love the point that Allison made" think about if you're going to go sleep in your car tonight in your driveway what what all would you need"... That was probably the single most thought-provoking statement that you guys made it just really hit home think about your in a car that has nothing to sustain life in it other than to carry you someplace you have to bring all of your necessities with you.. anyway thank you guys for sharing I've watched you go around the world on your motorcycle trips and Thailand Vietnam Etc the cave tours you guys are just fun to watch and it's nice that people that don't know can actually glean true experience and information from you guys is not just all fun and games there actually is a lot of preparation and planning and you guys make it look easy but you also show what happens when things don't go right thank you guys for sharing again I look forward to your next adventure...😎😎😎🚙❤❤❤❤

    First time watching your channel. You seen a little to prissy to me. Small campers are for sleeping and storing your stuff. You live and enjoy outdoors . If you want sticks and brick comfort stay at home. Life has many adventures, so make the best of it. Little discomfort sometimes makes the best memories.
