Hey I meant no ill-will with the comment above. I do appreciate we can all have our opinions. But only to be clear - are you stating the footage from 16:17-16:28 is not within park boundaries? You have posted (what appears to be), to a monetized channel, a pretty clear violation of a firm regulation, with a timestamp. You of course have your opportunity to argue your logic - and it may be sound - it only appears from an outsiders view as a definite, likely provable, infringement.
@@lawidhalm then why comment. The few seconds can be outside of the park. If you debate that then you do not trust them and should not bother to comment.
@@lawidhalm All monetized filming is illegal in the park boundaries. Technically they need to apply for permits to film in the parks because they are making money off of it. Explotation of our parks is a nasty thing to say. But if you want to make money off of it, do it legally. Leave no trace, leave it better than you found it, and contribute to make it beautiful for years to come.
Another off grid method for body/dish/pot/hand washing is to mix liquid soap and water in a spray bottle. I reuse the multi-purpose cleaner spray bottles, they last for ages! I also use the biodegradable liquid soaps. You can spray hands, body parts, rub/wash/... and then dry with towel or paper towels. If you want even more cleaning, paper towels with hand sanitizer also do a good job of cleaning.... I also keep a bottle of just water in one of the spay bottles, in case I need to rinse, or more typically on a really hot day it's useful to spray on face or body to cool down. Works best in front of a fan or with a breeze. Spray it into the fan and it cools the air a bit before it lands on you. Loved my trip to kings canyon and Sequoia national park. Hiked up Bubbs canyon, the back way to Whitney. Quite the trip, met huge deer, bear along the way. Thanks for bringing back the fond memories.
I wonder if you have gone down to Cedar Grove for the Kings Canyon. Video ended up only in princess campground. Kings Canyon is my favorite place and have gone down there multiple times. Scary drive due to deep canyon but it is so scenic drive. Point of interest-Hume Lake, Boyden Cavern, Roaring Falls, Zumualt Meadow. Cedar Grove Village has restaurant next to the river. We usually get breakfast there and find a spot next to the River bank with beautiful tall pine trees and river. It is nice to see the reaction for first timers to see the Sequoia trees, it bring back memories on first seeing it. As you go up to Sequoia is a Hospital Rock picnic area. There is a short trail down to see the mini waterfall, boulder and river. Just beautiful to take photos and stay for the day. Across Potwisha campground is another short walk for another mini waterfall and has a suspension bridge to cross. Nice place to swim, hang out of the day, take beautiful photos. There are so many neat places all over Sequoia and Kings Canyon. I still have not been to all of them and I'm local. Thanks for sharing this video and hope you have more time next time!
I literally was board out of my mind and ran into your NZ travel episode; simply WOW, your presentation is so natural and real. As a fellow globe trotter, I wish you both absolutely the best and will be following your episodes from here on. 👍👍
I am so happy for you guys to see this national park. My Father took us there is the 70s. Never forget it. Where are you guys from? The National parks in California are in a class by themselves. No matter how dysfunctional the state government may become these parks remain fixed in place.
I love Sequoia NP. I went there many times as a child. In 2019 I was able to take my sons to Yosemite and Sequoia. It was an amazing trip and one I will cherish for many years.
Not sure if you continued down to Cedar Grove, but next time go all the way down to Roads End!!! EPIC canyon drive!! There is Boyden Cave along the way. Also, the RIVER!! It's low in August, especially this year. We live in Visalia and go every few weeks for the day due to campgrounds closed right now. If you missed it, GO NEXT TIME!! Have fun here in Cali 👍👍
My favorite thing to do is tell friends who have never been to Sequoia "this is it" when they see desert the first hour in the park, and then BAM you enter the Giant Forest. Priceless!
Good call vising these national parks. You might also want to see Yosemite and Redwoods NP's while you are in California. Glad you are able to be traveling gain.
The full body wipes are fantastic. I take a few with me on international travels, on the days when I’m flying, I can feel clean. They were an absolute must flying from New Zealand back to Washington DC. I hope you didn’t run in to any of the fires while you were in California.

I couldn't agree more!!!! Even as a US citizen Tim and Fin have inspired my girlfriend and I to start our TH-cam Channel to learn more about this beautiful world we live in and explore all of the unknown destinations out there!!
Very first video I have seen of yours. 👏👏👏 You couldn't have picked a worse time to come to California then the timing you have currently, and I know it wasn't planned that way. Now you're dealing with the fires and the closure of national forests. I wish you guys well, and look forward to catching the other Cali videos. Be safe!
Yeah- we were dodging fires left and right. We still had a great time out there- can't believe how much you can see in California in such a short time.
Wonderful views. A lot of my friends are planning to travel to places where you visited once this dreaded virus wreaking havoc the world is annihilated.
Really enjoyed watching you guys experience Sequoia and Kings Canyon. I live very close and have been there many times. Your timing was good because they closed the park due to fires last week. Park is ok for now. Be careful not to fly your drone in the National Parks. Not allowed in case you haven’t heard. Keep up the vids. I’m going to catch up on some of your previous ones. Enjoy your stay! UPDATE: I just saw your post about drones LOL
I was out there last summer in my van. I just happened to be reading Wild Trees. Can't remember author, google it. And also when your video started, I said I've seen that van....Rental, smart move. Subscribed. 🌎🚐✌
You guys are in my backyard you missed a lot of good parts in the park that you could have hit. Driving into Kings Canyon is absolutely amazing. It's called the Kings Canyon because it's deeper than the Grand Canyon sure Granite walls. Almost across the street from Princess Campground up the road a little bit was stump Meadow in the Boule tree. On your way in from Three Rivers if you stopped at hospital Rock and walk by the river there's a bunch of picture glyphs on a big old rock.
i have been waiting for a whole week just watch your video, although i don't know too much about the US, even those beautiful national parks, but you guys had a good videos and i love watching your videos , drive safe and enjoy your trip.
You are young and young people like to go as fast as they can and I dearly hope that as you get older you'll take the time to get to know a place. What you come back with, at this pace, is a bunch of pictures and the videos you made. I guess it's one way to live, but when I was a kid I chose to spend a weekend in one place backpacking and the only reason to make it so short is because like most of us then, I had a job during the week. California is full of riches, but you gotta stay awhile to find them all, van or no van.
@@timandfin Yes, I did. I still mean what I said about Yosemite as I have spent just about every chance I had either in the back country or in Hawaii. I think its great you lived a whole year in Mexico & 4 months in Vietnam, but I haven't viewed those videos (I will). When you go back to Yosemite, hit the high country for at least a couple of days, and maybe the Wawona area for Tom Bopp the piano bar ranger at the bar of the hotel. He is wonderful and full of historical information. Yosemite has a rich American Indian heritage. I recommend Yosemite ranger,Shelton Johnson's book about the Buffalo Soldiers in Yosemite.
We just got back from a 10 day trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. We LOVED IT so much and got a ton of good info from yall's videos there. Geez, I saw that van and the first thing I thought was you were in the dog grooming business.
Rented a van in Germany and it had SIXT in three foot letters! Embarrassing much?
Oh you guys should go see Project Cat Survival Cat Haven in Dunlap, your super close... See Dale Anderson and tell him Kevin Griffin sent you... He rescues cats that dumb people try to make pets...
Then go Tahoe National Forest and see Lake Tahoe... The North Shore is less crowded and you'll be near Truckee... Travel west through Nevada City and Visit the Napa Sonoma Napa wine country... I'd love to meet you in Sonoma County in the town of Sonoma and show you our awesome wineries
And I have a shower... Lol
