Cass will also answer some of the questions you submitted! Ok Cass definitely has a luxury RV with this Airstream Basecamp. It has amazing views that rival even the best RV living rigs and it was of the most amazing tiny home on wheels I've seen.
As mentioned Cass is living the solo female rv life and has been for over 2 years. She shares her insights on RV living with cats, RV living with dogs, and RV living with pets in general in her Airstream Basecamp. She gives us an amazing RV tour and goes really into what full time RV living is like while traveling as a solo female. Cass also shares some of her favorite RV camping spots she's visited.

I liked her, her dog & her cat. Not everyone will get this, but I SO respect the fact that she READ the anxiety of her companion animals in the Chinook and decided she would NOT subject them to that type of RV. I think many humans would have just said "get over it" or re-homed the animals but you could see the body language on Jasper! I never heard of the Base Camp before but I think even I could handle a towable that size. Thanks for letting us see this one, Kevin!

Yes, that's important. If you live with pets, it's fair to try to do your best to u derstand what they need and what makes them feel good/bad. They can communicate and their psyches are important

I've always loved Cass' Airstream. I almost went that route when I first started my full-time travel but I didn't see the vision of it and thought it was too small. Now look at me in a van. lol I would venture to say that between her Basecamp and her truck she has more room and storage than I do.

One of the most sound “nomad” opinion videos I’ve heard. Having been in a Basecamp and really liking it, yes, the number one deterrent is that combined tank... a serious oversight by Airstream.

Very cool. I RV a little differently but love seeing people have fun with the smaller RVs.
Yeah...that's why I like to share this kind of stuff...to show that there is a zillion ways to do this lifestyle and these things come in all shapes and sizes.
There are alternatives to litter I recently learned about. They're pellets make of pine and when they get wet they turn into dust and fall to the bottom. They're more eco friendly, mess-free, and cheaper than litter and don't smell at all. I don't know exactly what they're called, a friend told me about them when I was thinking of getting a cat but worried about the mess and smell of litter boxes. I babysat his kitty for a week in my home and hardly had to think about the litter box. Definitely check it out!

Been road tripping for 30 years. I've been to every state except N. Dakota, all over Canada, and bits of Mexico. 90% of the time traveling solo, I only had one strange experience in the Allegheny National Forest where a guy drove past my spot 4 times, and really slowed down in front of my van. No other sites had been occupied. I drove off. In my review mirror, I could see he was about to drive past my spot again. He followed me for about 10 miles on country roads. Now, that could have been coincidence, and he was just doing his thing that didn't even involve my spot, but, my gut said otherwise.

If anyone else has a 5th gen 4Runner like this and wants to tow with it, the 1GR-FE V6 has the most torque between 4000-5000 RPM. Don't be afraid to rev it that high if you have to. It will sound like the engine is just screaming but it will be totally fine. You can also get a supercharger for it now if you really want more power.

Id love to be able to work and travel the continent with a couple good dogs. I like this little trailer. it has what a person needs. It's a little tight for a big dog and a cat. I find a sit down desk/work area to be indispensable. A V8 4Runner would pull better, but you'd still have the same issues with tongue weight, suspension, etc. pulling that trailer. Im curious how/where you park and where you leave the trailer and what your day looks like with the pets and that tiny space.... Thanks for the video... She usually parks at National Forest and BLM land...so wide open spaces. Like most of us..she lives out of her van not really in it. She has a full time job...so most of her week days are working and then weekends are hikes and stuff like that. Thanks for watching and commenting, grant.

I noticed you mentioned that you were worried about high rpms on the engine ..... higher rpms are better for the transmission .... it is a tight wire act .... engine working a little harder is easier on the transmission .... do a little research on this and maybe you can climb those hills a little faster.
