- Talking quickly about controling the urge to do things I promised I wouldnt do, a few examples from some recent rides I probably should have reacted differently.

everyone has self control until their amongst a group, the group will make an individual do things they would never do alone.
@@whatislifebro yeah it must be so easy to get carried away when with other people and trying to match their speed etc. not done many group rides but like to think that I put my life before pride.
as a rider that has had his licence revoked from speeding I know the feeling all to well, but just wanted to say you absolutely made the right decision with the BMW. that thing was just wanting to spin out, now i have to resort back to a CBT and a grom which might be for the best xD
@@JadedSphinx I dare say if I was 20 years younger I might have tried to race it. Glad I didn’t. Better to have lost the license than your life 👍🏻
@@RideWithStu 100% although as im still young i will always go and get another big bike, just hopefully with enough money to go to the track instead this time
I went out on a ride out with a lad from facebook group he'd been riding his ZX10 for a long time and i fell into the trap of trying to keep up as i could tell he was getting annoyed at how slow i was going around corners etc.
I did say from the off i'm a new rider and i'll be riding my own ride however so that motto stood firm.
But there came a wind in the road where i ended up just across the line on the wrong side at 50mph as i didn't lean enough luckily for me there was nothing coming but about 30s later a huge lorry was just coming so if i'd of done that a little later who knows what could of happened. There were other mishaps along the way also where i popped the clutch and almost whiskey throttled myself.
I've reigned in my pride and decided that i'll just go out solo and hit up a few car parks for some slow riding practice
@@shutinyanks I dare say I would be thinking the same if I was to go on a ride with someone far better on a bike than me.
Scary when you think what could have happened if things turned out slightly differently.
I do try and only push it a bit on open roads that I know have plenty of room and no cars waiting to pull out.

This is why i waited to after 30 to get licensed, i would be dead if i didn't.
Btw, still weird to see people ride on the wrong side of the road. (Iam from the other side of the canal (Netherlands)).
@@jasper46985 same here. Kinda glad I wasn’t persistent enough to get my license in my 20’s. Definitely wouldn’t be here now. Nice to hear someone from outside the UK watched my vid 😊👍🏻
