The problem is more so the meta game. The VGC meta game leans towards the physical side a lot, so having something as strong as Fluttermane just means the slot for SpA mons on your teams gets cannibalized.
It’s also that Flutter Mane is a necessity on some teams. The most popular core right now is the Fire Water Grass balance core, and that core gets ruined by dragon types like Regidrago and Raging Bolt. As such, you need a Pokémon that can both reliably switch in and threaten those dragons, and because the tapus aren’t in the game, the only real option is either some off meta pick like Sylveon, or the reliable Flutter Mane.
"Prefixes are power" is so true. My friend and I were struggling with a raid earlier, 6 star flying sinistcha. Then I remembered... Oh yeah we both have Miraidon. wait you showing it's stats side by side to Xerneas was literally like a slap/wake up call it's *immediately faster and stronger then the historically nuclear Xerneas that has been a top dog in Ubers and VGC since it's inception* What in the sam hell was Game Freak cooking when they designed Flutter Mane???
Gen8-9 doesn't just show low quality in their engine, framerate and graphics. The last few games had these terribly broken pokemon and VGC lacking any proper competitive rulesets and tiers speaks volumes of how incompetent Nintendo-GameFreak are at managing and developing this frenchise.
I think the problem is partially the fairy type itself, partially Moonblast as a move, partially the dual typing of Fairy/Ghost, partially the insanely high speed and special attack, partially the fact that it's low bulk can be invested in because it's so naturally threatening, partially that it gets even stronger in the sun, partially that it can hold any number of various items for even more destruction...
THANKS FOR MAKING GREAT CONTENT !! I had to unsub from that Indian guy, team freeze, he got a tiny bit of criticism and started to sneakily delete comments to silence free speech. Sad but we need more good tubers like yourself. Keep it Up!!! Thanks for being great, brother

“Utility belt like Batman’s” Imagine commuting a crime and you see Batman walking up to you with a focus sash belt, choice specs, pixie plate, and a flask of booster energy and he’s just, *ready to prefix you*
I hate how bafflingly broken they made this thing. I just wanted a ghost fairy misdrevous with levitate and decent but regular stats, instead they gave every paradox mon the same ability and gave it legendary stats. God I hate the game design team.
So how could it become more balanced? I can see in future games them changing the Protosynthesis speed increase to 30%, but Fluttermane would probably need something more directed at it, such as a movepool or even stat nerf. Making Fairy type as a whole a more balanced type could help too.
The video is amazing and all, Flutter Mane is a really funny joke, but I gotta say using Tim Follin music is a power move on itself. Props to the GOAT editor once again
Maybe they'll redirect some points from those 135 stats to make the others 65 instead of 55 to make it's stat spread less extreme and force players to have to invest in it's spettack and speed instead of bulk? Unlikely as hell but they can't outright lower it's total due to every Paradox having either 570 or 590.
the absense of scrappy fake-out users such as pre-mega mega kanga and mega lopunny as well as the fact that there is currently no good STAB bullet punch user in the meta (metagross maybe, but its not that great) both exascerbate the issues. i've been saying, prothosynthesis speed boost should've been 30% like the other stats
0:06 attack left the chat
It’s a special attacker, it doesn’t need an attack stat more than 1
Moxie hates Flutter Mane so much they made an entire 8 minute video explaining why they hate it so much piece by piece. I love it
The problem is more so the meta game.
Bro you on fire this episode! 😂😂😂
"Prefixes are power" is so true.
My friend and I were struggling with a raid earlier, 6 star flying sinistcha. Then I remembered... Oh yeah we both have Miraidon.
(135 base special attack + 100 base power) × 1.3 electric terrain × 1.3 hadron engine × 2 for being super effective × 1.5 for STAB × 1.3 for Electro Drift's boosted damage on superwffective hits
Dude I was literally thinking about you uploading, and you came through!
Flutter mane is my flutter bane of existence when playing showdown 😔
Technician scizor is pissed off kicking rocks over by the bench
Look at that smug grin it has. It knows how powerful it is.
only real moxie fans saw this yesterday at buffalo wild wings

That's 21 events in ONE YEAR.
Its basically a Mega Mismagius with none of the restrictions Mega Pokemon generally have.
wait you showing it's stats side by side to Xerneas was literally like a slap/wake up call
it's *immediately faster and stronger then the historically nuclear Xerneas that has been a top dog in Ubers and VGC since it's inception*
What in the sam hell was Game Freak cooking when they designed Flutter Mane???
It's obviously made by a 12 year old.
There’s a reason my flutter is almost always called Goober or War Criminal on smogon teams
I can't wait for it's counterpart, the 135 HP/Atk/Def and 55 SpAtk/SpDef/Speed
You forgot about the fact it can imprison and trick room so it can even be played backward to totally flip the game on it's head because it clearly didn't have enough options lol
The problem with fluttermane. Nothing. That’s the problem. They forgot to give this pokemon weaknesses.
“Utility belt like Batman’s”
Imagine commuting a crime and you see Batman walking up to you with a focus sash belt, choice specs, pixie plate, and a flask of booster energy and he’s just, *ready to prefix you*
I love these type of video where you explain why is a Pokémon broken. I think you should definitely do another one
It's the same problem as Kartana and Chien-Pao: a pokemon so good they outclass everything else but they also are their own worst enemy
I hate how bafflingly broken they made this thing. I just wanted a ghost fairy misdrevous with levitate and decent but regular stats, instead they gave every paradox mon the same ability and gave it legendary stats. God I hate the game design team.
You and me alike, really.
@@Abigdummy4life Never thought I'd find another.
"Hoppip isn't coming back bro, he's gone"😂
So how could it become more balanced? I can see in future games them changing the Protosynthesis speed increase to 30%, but Fluttermane would probably need something more directed at it, such as a movepool or even stat nerf. Making Fairy type as a whole a more balanced type could help too.
I’d say make it’s stats go from 55s and 135s to
85Hp
65Atk
65Def
120SpAtk
120SpDef
115Sp
Just a thought
The video is amazing and all, Flutter Mane is a really funny joke, but I gotta say using Tim Follin music is a power move on itself. Props to the GOAT editor once again
Maybe they'll redirect some points from those 135 stats to make the others 65 instead of 55 to make it's stat spread less extreme and force players to have to invest in it's spettack and speed instead of bulk? Unlikely as hell but they can't outright lower it's total due to every Paradox having either 570 or 590.
Love this content, and wow i underestimated flutter a whole lot
You know the video is good when it has Tim Follin's Pictionary theme in the intro
The C64 Bionic Commando level 1 music really slaps. How do you chose your background music?
Wait is that Plok?
"Oddish isn't coming back bro" 💀💀 had me cackling
the absense of scrappy fake-out users such as pre-mega mega kanga and mega lopunny as well as the fact that there is currently no good STAB bullet punch user in the meta (metagross maybe, but its not that great) both exascerbate the issues. And with both farigiraf AND psychic terrain being viable as well as regulation G dropping soon, Flutter Mane stonks have been better than ever.
But hey, at least it doesn't hit through protect...
We must be grateful to flutter mane! It is a past form of Misdravus. I dont even want to imagine if it were a past form of Mismagius
So basically long story short, let’s pull a zacian crowned again
Zacian if it wasn't a restricted legendary
Flutter Mane is pretty much the equivalent of Gen 1 Mewtwo
Did you play gen 1 Mewtwo? That is the most broken thing of all time. At least this thing has competition in its Gen here and there
its not even close. Gen 1 Mewtwo was like that one dude that brings a rocket launcher to a paintball match
Flutter pain should’ve been it’s name.
I was not expecting the NBA analogies in a competitive pokemon video. Seeing those two together is surreal
