- Today’s preview is looking at the history behind Dunbar Harbour which was built in 1574. It was needed because of the increasing number of small boats engaged in the herring fishing trade. It accommodated local and visiting herring boats and a customs house with a customs and excise officer to prevent smuggling.

It was a beautiful day, but the sun was very low in the sky which made it a little difficult, glad you enjoyed the footage.
Interesting content and history
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Lovely video. Very informative and interesting. Fantastic footage. 👌 What a fabulous place 😍
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
You picked the right day to film. Maybe time for a similar film of North Berwick harbour, recently taking a battering in the autumn storms.
Hi Alistair, it certain was a beautiful day, it was so still, you could hear the seals on the rocks below. I have already put a post up for North Berwick harbour, you will be able to find it on my TH-cam channel, Droneman Scotland, hopefully you enjoy it.
Good job, lots of great info 👍 I'm about 100 yds from the new harbour.
Glad you enjoyed it, it was certainly a fun day when I was down getting the footage. Had several people very interested in what I was doing.
@@DronemanScotland It might have been the first time some of the natives had seen a camera or drone 🤣
@@DonsBeerReviews All the natives were friendly 😂😂
