This DJI Air 3 first flight review happened during a pretty high wind day with guests up to 37 mph; these are perfect conditions to test this drone and see if it flies as well as the DJI Air 2S and show you some of the cool features you are getting with this new DJI Drone: th-cam.com/video/rDMvo_Xv038/w-d-xo.html
I have to say I’m quite impressed with how it performed. I mean you really challenged the drone and it did what it could. Every machine has its limits.
Tip: Activetrack and obstacle avoidance works better with the 1x lens because with the 3x the drone is trying harder to keep the subject in the frame and is further away. 1x is best for activetrack when going fast since 3x can sometimes result in obstacle avoidance not working as intended.
Another great drone from DJI, I am very impressed with the 4K image quality, the colors, the sharpness. You can use these images directly without video processing.
That was very impressive! You're a brave man taking a brand new drone into those conditions, but it shows how brilliant the obstacle avoidance is. Thanks for that awesome demonstration.
finally a video that actually pushes it to its limits. so far i cant find a video yet where someone pushes the drone to its limits like how you did, i was curios of its tracking quality and stuff and it seems really good.
I did the same test a few days ago with the mini3 Pro. Very uneven surface in a park. So my surprise the drone dripped very low, less them 1 meter under the branches and kept following me.
I really enjoy your video and l love the laugh. I love that u still embracing new tech toy in this age while most ppl in this age are afraid to try new stuff
This is the best channel to follow if you need great advice. Q: my new air 3 will only go left or right, whereas my Mavic 2 goes under or above. Is there a setting where the air 3 can do what the Mavic 2 can do?
is it possible to turn of that horrible warning sound of the sensors? it would drive me crazy. and does it have the ads b detection to see other traffic?
When the Mavic 3 was released the beta firmware was improved for APAS/Active Track. I assume DJI will be upgrading the Air 3 in the same way in the coming weeks/months.
That was stressful video to watch. Great test of a bunch of function like foreword following and obstacle avoidance . I have a Mini 3 pro coming to me this week and can’t wait to try this out..
Assuming it works similar on air 3 as it does with mini 3. U have to keep moving to properly test it. With mini 3 if u stand still while its surrounded it wont move. U might think it cant find a way through. But it actually just stopped because u stopped too.
Sir, I absolutely LOVE your videos!!! This has really given me a glimpse on what I get with such an expensive purchase. But it IS exactly what I need. Thank you so much for your contribution!!!
Another informative and entertaining video. Hi Henrik, impressive obstacle avoidance, a very good stress test. I am so in two minds whether or not 👍to take the plunge, Guess i’ll just need to think about my user case a little more or potential user cases that this drone might be able to open up for me. Thanks.
Nice test and nice video! I'm almost convinced to buy an Air 3 :-) What I would like to know (I can't find any concrete information about it) is whether the obstacle avoidance also works with all the Quickshots modes like circle, helix, etc. Do you know this?
Thanks a lot for this Video👍🤩😅👏Love the Dji Air 3. but not that it can only be used with the new Dji rc 2 and dji rc n-2 😪😪 Air 3 cannot be used with Dji rc pro and Dji rc
That wasn't good publicity for the drone. She is completely overwhelmed with her all-round view and hasn't found the gap anymore. Constantly standing still and the frequent loss of the target seems like an immature system. The test has at least shown the reality and puts an end to the dreams 🤔
Continuously waiting and stopping the follow mode to switch between the cameras is not a real test, when it's not able to keep up on you it has failed. Perhaps it had found another way if you kept on walking.
@@djidroneadventures4059 Because I said it has failed a test when it's not able to keep up? I don't get your point, are you hurt because you're in love with this drone? It isn't practical when you have to wait on your drone, my point was that he didn't try to just move on and see what the drone would do. If it stops and doesn't find its way it has failed that avoidance test, as simple as that.
I wouldn't try this with my Mavic 3 at all lol, even though it has sensors all around I don't trust it that way, because three branches are some sneaky devils for sure. The only drone I would have behind me in the woods would be the Skydio 2 with the beacon.
Is this guy related to Bilbo Baggins? I feel like this video was filmed in the shire 😂😂 Good video sir, the way he laughs is like a little kid doing what they love. He is really having fun out there. Dislike button twice 😂😂😂
To be noted... It might have been confused, stopped or disoriented but tiny branches weren't a problem and overall it DIDN'T CRASH. Now could that be the case if it was up against another notorious obstacle... Power lines 🤔
The obstacle avoidance is mediocre compared to my Skydio system. Unfortunately, Skydio recently abandoned the "consumer" market... meaning DJI will have little incentive to perfect this feature.
Works great. Except is had one problem. It's a gimmick. Nobody actually uses active-track. Soon you put it at distance to have the landscape in view it doesn't work anymore. They all fly their DJI drone manually to get the shots they want. It would be much better if DJI didn't cripple their products by not adding follow-me. That's GPS. Not optical. I would say that the Mini 2 with Litchi or Maven is the more useful hiker/biker drone. It may not have obstacle avoidance and APAS. But you're not going to risk a $1000 drone on a bike tour to begin with. You fly it away from hazards. Who wants to see trees closeup? If you have it fly that close get a 360 camera on a (invisible) stick.

Looks just like "the gauntlet" but more trees! They went and cut all the branches, so thankfully i can see your test now!
I think it's impressive. Definitely thinking about getting it. Thanks again for sharing Henrik. 👍👍👍
is it possible to turn of that horrible warning sound of the sensors? it would drive me crazy. and does it have the ads b detection to see other traffic?
No, not without loosing the sensors too
Turn down the volume from rc thats how u can do it
Ha yes 👍 thanks

Good test of the obstacle avoidance
Yay great job henrik! Hreat video as always! Well done!

Very funny. How different is the new RC remote in terms of speed?
Seem to working fine, no lacking or such

Yes

Thanks for doing this, Henrik, so I won’t have to when mine arrives in a few days. Cheers from Wisconsin, U.S.A.

No

You should push it harder. Try to do upward, downward, and sideway as well. See if it will survive

Thanks 👍

Amazing
Just gave you three thumbs up 😂

The volume can be adjusted on the controller.
Double swap down on right top of screen and lower volume.
Work like that on the mini3 Pro controller.
