    This restorative yoga for seniors and beginners class is designed for increasing flexibility and promoting relaxation. This gentle yoga practice is especially designed for beginners and active older adults. This restorative yoga for seniors and beginners class moves slowly through gentle stretching. The slow yoga for beginners practice starts with a warm-up that brings awareness to the breath. Then, the gentle yoga class progresses into some deeper stretching. This restorative yoga for seniors and beginners practice ends in a relaxing shavasana.
    As with any exercise program, please be sure to consult your physician prior to starting. You are voluntarily engaging in this exercise program at your own risk.     Hi Melissa, I found your gentle yoga this morning! It was just what I was looking for! I've done yoga in past and have gotten away from it. Your gentle yoga was just what I needed to get back into it! Now in my 70s, my flexibility needs some gentle moves:) Thank you,

    This was nice. If you could just use your voice without the music, it would be fabulous. The music is slightly stronger than your voice and a bit distracting and doesn't allow focus. But that is just me.
    Overall, this video was really relaxing. Thank you.

      The restorative yoga videos are pretty gentle, but I would definitely ask your doctor to be sure.

    Loved your restorative yoga with exception of the head rolls. I understand the neck to be a pivot joint and not a ball & socket joint; therefore, head rolls should not be practiced. Your thoughts on this, Melissa?

    I can't do heroes pose. What should I do instead?

      Instead of hero’s pose, you could sit cross legged. You could also try doing hero’s pose sitting on two blocks stacked on top of each other, to reduce the strain on your knees.

    You are lovely and relaxing. I wish I could sit on my knees/lower legs, but I can’t… not even with the knee pads under me. Makes me feel awful that I can’t even do beginners/senior yoga. A lost cause, I suppose.
