thank you! i think also what helped me with fixing breathiness is breathing in then holding my breath, then talking from my breath being held without straining. it helped me add more clarity to my voice.
I don't have problems when singing, but my speaking voice is bad. It's like I have permanent laryngitis or something. Most of the time my voice is good, but after about 15/30 minutes of a conversation my voice start to go out, everyone always asks about it. It's been like this for a few years now. Has improved since I started singing, but still the problem persists.
This is my main problem! I saw the title and was like this video is meant for me! I’m getting your course soon I love your teaching style! Expect me soon🔥
I have a naturally smooth voice that I destroyed and I’m not going down without a true fight. Every bad habit is out of here. Tea, and staccato warm ups, until I’m back to the normal scales. I’ll update you guys when my voice comes back.
Agreed. These instructional vids are my favorite. Always something new to learn and try to apply. Adam has helped me a lot- in personal lessons and through the channel. Def would recommend the subscription.
"I wouldn't really worry about trying to spend too much time in your lower range. I would actually try to work on getting your voice to find cord closure..." Every vocal coach ought to know that! 👍
Thanks so much for this really helpful information and exercises- the explanation for why it happens is insightful. I will try these exercises and hope it helps. I love singing but am always in “breathy world” 😅
My voice has been breathy for a long time. Had a bioplasty,a piece put by my left vocal chord. Helped at first, but I went breathy again. Been to several ENTs,no one knows what's going on. I'm glad I found your video.
No matter how much I focus on chord closure, my voice always feels breathy after singing. And my speaking voice used to be crisp and connected but now its breathy and I literally dont have a low speaking range
My problem was one that you didn’t touch; my lower and mid range voice were breathy, but I support more and get clearer as I go higher. But I think I could use your tips for those problems anyway.
Hey guys! Has anyone purchased his vocal lessons pack? I want to know whether it is actually worth or not cause I at least wanna be a decent singer. I feel like the rates are precise, but I don’t know about the quality. Please help me out 🙏🏻
i really feel like i learned a lot here. hopefully i am, either way Thank You for this dissemination of information! I relate this to my own tendency to be overly compressed one minute (typically in the transition between m1 and m2) and too breathy the next because this fundamental stuff is kind of hiding in plain sight. i'm going to be practicing the 'uh oh' type approach on my passagio and head voice notes (the areas that i now believe i need to approach as m2 stuff, not m1), and the silent H approach (basically the opposite) in my speaking (m1) range, to learn the difference (in an intuitive way) between compressed and airy chest voice, compressed head voice vs. breathy falsetto. am i catching on here or way off base?
thank you!

How long do we need to do these exercises
When doing the vocal chord closure,I can barely get any sound out.its just air.

I’m struggling with speaking with too much breathiness, and it’s killing my career in sales.
If I can sing without breathiness but get breathy when getting soft, should I do these staccati and song exercises all soft?
Bruh I’m tired of saying ahhh ahhh ahhhhh lol
Just tried to record and this Unwanted breath just pissed me off how weird

My voice or throat just always feels tense, airy and dry, wether I sing or not 😭 I have never been able to truly have a crisp, nice, voice.
It’s very subtle but dang- I can hear it in every recording of myself singing…
My voice is breathy when I'm speak
First like and comment
