Yes, I agree with you. The first dress was more flattering to her than the one she picked. The plunging neckline could easily have been filled in a bit if she had a problem with it.

Every time they have a bride that wants "something never seen before!" they come out with the exact same dresses as everyone else... bit disappointing
I know, right? They say they want something that is unique and will make everyone's jaw drop and then they pick the same old, same old. Watching these shows, very rarely have I thought, "Now that really IS different!".
I completely agree what I had for my wedding could have been considered a princess dress but it was a Renaissance style long sleeve with Bell accent over sleeves brocade silk with lace and satin accents and while yes the shape line was considered princess it was a different kind of princess it was unique unlike this thing which is like every other princess dress I've seen at every other wedding
Really? Because it seems like 80% of the girls on say yes to the dress choose the fishtail style. Ballgown is rare on this show.

I just hope she truly loved the dress she picked! She seemed more concerned about their reaction than picking what she wanted. As long as she's happy that's all that matters 💓

@@Clover-wg5xx Has nothing to do with paying in this case, she likes to be an obedient daughter - she is probably the happiest like that - so the dress was not interesting on her - but she was happy about it and will be happy forever.

I actually liked it very much, I just wish it were on a sexier silhouette, not a ball gown. And I usually don't like very deep necklines. That dress made me think "it wants to be sexy but the designer changed their mind las minute"

Am I the only one that liked the first one the best? I thought it was really well fitted and pretty. And even if the cleavage was too much, they could alter it.
The second dress was good, but I agree with the mom about that crease line.
The third dress, however, I didn't like at all. It didn't sit very well, and there wasn't anything different about it.

The first was def my favorite on her and I’m surprised the consultant didn’t say anything about a modesty panel/material for the front (at least to educate the watchers of the show).

@blessed14real That's just emotional blackmail, in my opinion. If you're giving someone a gift (be it money, or anything else), you shouldn't dictate how they use that gift. Otherwise it's not really a gift at all.

The mermaid fit snugged her curves better, it's messed up they persuaded or shall I say more like made her feel uncomfortable in her own body just for her to go with princess when she wanted like a fit and flare.

She is going regret this dress choice.. She didn’t choose her own dress by her own feeling. I saw her eyes sparkle by the second dress. The 3th she choosed because of how the women reacted on it. So sad to see.
When she does that side hug in the last dress at the end, her eyes are wet but for the moment when she looks at the camera you can tell she knows she chose it bc of her Entourage and she's super unsure :((((

There's nothing sad about it. She was very happy. I guess certain people who are very used to getting their own way in every detail of their lives can't understand why someone would do something for their beloved mom. Especially when she didn't hate the princess dress In fact she loved it....
Why do some people who know that they are basic come on to this show saying that they want something a bit different and end up leaving with the same sweetheart neckline ballgown that so many of them end up getting?
Not! I can’t count the number of lace fishtails or fit and flares I’ve seen. They vastly outnumber the ballgowns I’ve seen chosen.

I always worn mermaid/tight fitted dresses for parties, prom, etc. And I thought the day I get married, it would be the same cause it suited me....But my grandpa always wished for all his daughters to be in big princess dresses for their big day but none of them did. He asked my sisters and I to wear a big beautiful wedding dress when our special day came because it would be our most important dress we ever wear, and I promised I would. My grandpa passed away in 2017, and I'm starting to plan my wedding, and best believe I'm keeping that promise.

2nd dress was the best. 3rd dress was pretty, but there was no definition in the details. It wasn't anything surprising/special that she asked for.
I love that 2nd dress! Makes me sad the entourage didn't, but we're all different.

It’s so weird to me that so many people think it’s cheesy or weird to be best friends with your spouse. That’s your life partner, so you should be! My husband is my best friend, and I’m glad Tori has that too 💚💙

It’s not a symbol of. her being fat or anything that’s just because the dress size they get it taylored so that the dress doesn’t have the crease. They just don’t show it on the show. I know this because while i wasn’t on the show my sister was in the boutique buying her wedding dress. However you are entitled to your opinion.

I mean she looked beautiful in all three gowns she tried on, but the first one was my personal favorite although I do agree that the neckline made it unsuitable for a church.

There is an inbetween that no one on this program ever seems to realise. You can have a 'princess' dress with much less tulle so it isn't as overwhelming so a slim ballgown (one for a better word). That way you get the best of both in my opinion. There is always chiffon as well which can be extremely flattering and very elagant
That’s what my dress was! It was layers of tulle without the fluff to make it big. Also the type of tulle was very airy. I don’t love fitted gowns but def don’t like princess ballroom either. This was the perfect in between.

I agree. The dress she chose was the typical dress and did nothing for her. When it comes to entourages, I dealt with them a lot as a church musician. When brides came to meet with me, I used to tell them to leave their mothers at home because a lot of times mothers wanted one of two things: they wanted the bride to have they same wedding they had or they wanted the bride to have the wedding they WISHED they had. Neither of of those things might be the wedding the bride actually wanted. If you think picking the gown gets bad, you should see the music consultation. Yikes!

IMO.. dress one was lovely except for the top... too much on show for church. Dress 2... agree with her mum... awful. Dress 3... meh.. didn,t do anything for her. I believe she actually bought another dress later..

I actually found that she is a beautiful princess in dress no. 3! Beautiful weddingbdress gotto come with bride confident and contentment! She pulled this off beautifully!

It seems fun at first to take an entourage with you to help you choose your dress, but unfortunately oftentimes you end up digressing from your initial dress choice because you want to please everyone and get their approval. I went dress shopping with family (sadly my mom couldn't make it that day as she had a bad fever) and I ended up saying yes to a beautiful body hugging gown which everyone assured me was perfect for me. But the more I envisioned myself in it on my big day, the more I realized that I didn't choose what I've always dreamed of. I went with my mom to many bridal shops after that searching for that perfect princess gown and was just out of luck. Then I moved away to another country to live with my fiancé and I started going to bridal shops alone. I thought of getting a custom overskirt to be put over my dress, but deep down inside I wasn't happy with the idea. Eventually I found an amazing bridal shop with the kindest staff and Sara, the store owner, brought out a gown that ticked all the boxes and more. I felt perfect in it, it was such a beautiful mix of classical and modern styles. I couldn't wait to wear it on my wedding day and I got it at a very fair price too. I ended up wearing both dresses on my wedding day with the princess gown being a complete surprise to everyone. I wore the princess gown for the ceremony and part of the reception and the body hugging lace gown for photos earlier in the day and for cake cutting and remainder of the reception. The only thing is I would have loved a photo session in the princess dress too, but I really didn't want my fiancé to see it until I walked down the aisle in it. It was sad at times that I had to go all alone to try on dresses in a foreign country but it helped me to focus my energy on finding the dress I've always dreamed of.
No bride ever: I'm common as mud and I want my dress to show it.
I guess the first thing you learn as a bridal consultant is to lie through your teeth so you can tell even the most basic bride with the most basic taste that something about the dress she picked is "a little bit different" - even if you sold that particular dress ten times during the last week.

YES! Mom finally said what I've always thought about mermaid dresses! That horizontal crease right across at the top of the thighs! In fact, sometimes there's more than one of them there. Not only does it look messy, I think it has the effect of creating a belly, whether the woman has one or not.

In looove w the brides cut out chained long sleeve shirt she was wearing. And the fishtail dress suited her beautifully, sad others opinions made her change her mind. In my opinion the one she chose was just about pleasing her Entourage and not herself. She chose a basic ass ball gown and I’m soo sad about it lol she really loved the second dress more I think 💔 it made her look heavier which she is itty bitty in the second dress!! Oh well hope she’s happy in whatever she chose 🖤
Since a few years ago, I've already designed my own dream wedding dress. It's a bit of a mermaid silhouette And no one's opinion on it(shape) will change my mind..... So I find it so sad when a bride wants something and gets swayed into something else because of everyone's opinion...but...to each, their own priorities and happiness.

I've watched so many of these shows, I cant remb if I've seen them or not, until I see the dresses lol. Thought I hadn't seen this one until the bride put on the gowns.

Honestly, i get the issue with the mermaid style. The crease, even in a larger size, would appear the moment she bends or moves. She was open minded to the idea, wanted princess, and saw what they saw. Nothing wrong with it. Just because a bride accepts her entourage's opinions, doesn't mean they heckled her into it and she had no opinion of her own. They were all very respectful and said their opinions (which is what she brought them there for). If she was so against it, she wouldn't have picked it. Stop thinking that women are so easily trampled and can't change their minds or reach compromises with people they love. Some people have different ideas of what their wedding day is celebrating instead of just 'me me me'.
