It doesn't "match" just doesn't make her look as dead looking as white would. Plus any actual shade of white would wash her out and it would be impossible to see where her skin and the dress separate. She's too pale.
@@jtz3563 I disagree that "any shade of white would wash her out." She just needs to wear either a cool tone or warm tone dress to match her skin. Anyone can wear white and long as the tone of the dress matches the tone of their skin. No one is "too pale," that's just rude

See also the episode from Atlanta where the bride was getting a dress after ditching another dress and she was worried about the price but her dad was insisting for her to get the absolutely best dress for her, even though it was an expensive one.

No, she didn't. The white one wasn't as good on her, since it competed with her skin tone. The blush dress completed it. Guess some people are more and other less capable of perceiving such nuances.

For the ones complaining about budget (there is always gonna be complainers) the Dad insisted on choosing the dresses and wanted to go over budget, so if anything he stretched the budget, not the consultant.
The chosen dress was the one for her, definitely. What I object to is the salesperson tagging him as an easy mark, taking him privately into the dresses and the first one she showed was over priced. That's sneaky. It was only 200 pounds over, so not a big deal, but for me it was the actions of the salesgirl that put me off.

@@hilaryc3203 I get what you're saying, but this is all edited, so you don't know what actually happened. Maybe the consultant tried to show other dresses and dad tried to go to the higher priced section? The "first" dress might not have been the actual first dress ;-)
Watch the clip closely. They didn’t move from their spot so the consultant didn’t drag him to the dresses. The scenery is exactly the same as the spot where they were originally looking when they entered the store.

I've very pale too, from a chronic illness and I recently found my perfect dress, which is a soft white with blush in the layers of the ballgown skirt. It's subtle but really beautiful with a paler skin tone. I can't wait to wear it and marry my sweetheart!
I wish they would start making a blushy mauve color. Something with just a touch of purple instead of just pink/nude. Not over the top purple, but a really soft hue.

It always irritates me when family/friends take the piss out of a bride when she is clearly overjoyed with a dress!? I think way too many people forget who's actually getting married and when a parent guilts a child into pleasing them rather than pleasing themselves when it comes to the wedding, it's one of the most selfish and manipulative things a parent can do to a bride or groom ( especially when they use money as a weapon of guilt, I'm paying so I should have a say over what I'm paying for!!) Good on Dad for being direct with Mom...
