Nice, ive been wanting a video covering these suits , people also think scent lok doesnt work , 2 things , people are cheap and dont want to pay and when they do buy they dont properly maintain it
I have 4 videos now showing this season's deer reactions from deer that are up close under 30 yards with most being almost half that distance. I was skeptical at first, but, now I am pretty sure this thing works!
Deer have a stronger nose than a dog and this has been tested with a dog. It will help to keep your scent down but it isn't going to fool a deer's nose. Think of it this way. If any scent control product worked bomb and drug dogs would be out of business. My approach is to use scent control and the wind to my advantage.
@@BooneDownSouth I recently watched a test of all the major scent control approaches minus hecs and none of them slowed the dog up even from a distance. That includes a lengthy ozone treatment of the clothes. The guy that tested it even put just a single article of clothing that had been ozoned and sprayed with every type of scent killer and the dog went right to it. We can't trick the deer's nose or hide out scent but we can reduce the scent we put out allowing the deer to get closer before detection.
@@tray22 Did they guy try the smoking method, where you basically blow smoke all over you and all your clothes. They do a lot of that in TX and was wondering if they tested that as well.
I've been wearing Hecs for the last 15 years, I never !!!! go hunting without hecs. I had a small six point buck last year walk up to me three feet away from me after I got out of the stand, never blew!!!! milled around me for a few minutes and walked off
Yea it could be. In most cases though I either had the sun behind me or it was cloudy. But that one buck in this particular video, I had sun coming right into my face. Of course that buck didn't look at up at me until he was right under me. People have also suggested it's the big lens that looks like a big eye, but this year I have not used the big camera, just the iPhone and a GoPro 360. Either way they seem to calm down pretty quick.
I like the Rampage XS. I have not shot one, but it looks to be an upgrade from the M-370 that I have been shooting the last several years. I would expect it to be a good performer.
I am actually hunting with it now hoping to film a hunting video with the Jungle Hunter for Aston. They have informed me they are about ready to release it to the public but I don't have specific dates yet.
I have a question about bolts. I sighted my crossbow in to one bolt, I'm using ten point pro elite 400. My crossbow is a m370 just like yours but these bolts are 8-9 inches off from the one I sighted in at zero. I know the bolts are suppose to be spinel indexed but there ait no way they shoot to far apart. Any help would be appreciated
So you are correct, if you are using the same bolt with same weight head that bolt should be hitting very close to the other bolt. How close will be determined by how steady you hold the crossbow when you shoot. But I am talking at most a couple inches, no where near 8 or 9 inches off. You might have a bad bolt, a bad fletching on one of them. What I would do is take sharpy and number a fletching on each bolt, so if you have 6 bolts, number them 1 - 6. Then shoot all 6. Pull your arrow after each individual shot though. When you do that you will see which ones are shooting together and which one is shooting south.
I've had more instances wearing HECs that makes me a believer. Birds landing on me. Deer will smell but never spook. I see all kinds of animals i normally wouldnt see atleast not as often. It seems like a gimmick. Ive hunted over 20 yrs and things just happen wearing it that dont any other time. Worth the $100 to try it. We piss away that much on 2 pacls of broadheads.
Yea just what I have experienced so far this year makes me think there is something to this and this suit will give you an edge - assuming you are doing everything you should be doing, i.e. scent control, beign still, etc...
So since I got my HECS suit and started wearing it this season and posting videos of my close deer encounters this is what I have found. The only people who say what you say are those that have never tried the HECS suit. I have received a lot of comments from folks who have been using the HECS suit that swear by it. After putting out 4 videos which include all of my close encounters this season when deer have spotted me within 30 yards, most much closer, I believe there is something to this suit. If you started googling the science behind it, you will also find there is legitimate science that backs up animals being able to detect electrical fields. I will say it has 100% made a difference for me this year. At this point I am not a skeptic any longer.
Well I will tell you so far the only people that claim that, are ones that have not put any time in the suit. And I get tons of comments from folks that have been using it for awhile and swear by it. If you watch all 4 of my videos from this season, it's hard to deny that it does not have an effect. But I understand that a lot of folks thinks its a gimmick. That's fine.
@@coewhat So I will say this. I was skeptical going in to this, but since I bought a suit and have been testing it out and putting videos out there of my hunts and the deer reactions when I am spotted, what I have learned is the only people who say it is a gimmick are those that have never put time into a HECS suit. I get tons of comments from folks who have been using it for years and swear by it. If you watch my 4 videos I have put out, which covers each one of the interactions up close when deer have spotted me, it might make you think twice. I will say there is definitely something to this suit. Any one example I have shown could happen at any time to anyone while hunting without a HECS suit - no doubt. But for me, these types of reactions have been the norm this season while wearing this suit. EVERY deer that spotted me up close, I would have had a shot opportunity - after I was spotted. The typical scenario is that after being spotted the deer are suspicious but then they calm down and in many cases stay in the area and never look at me again. This has played out with every close (less than 30 yards) deer encounter I have had this season.
I know it works. Been wearing it for years and I’ve been able to come to full draw on mature bucks while hunting on the ground with no blind. Also have had turkeys at less than 15 yards and was able to move my shotgun undetected.
I love my Hecs!
Yea I am pretty happy with mine now too!

I wonder if it’s the camera that they’re seeing? Like the reflection from the lens?

Any update on the Jungle Hunter crossbow?? Been waiting 🤞🏻

Bought a Hecs suit and was a believer the first year. Not so much anymore.🙄
Do you think the material got worn down through washing or what do you think happened?

I'm hearing that from a lot of folks. At this point, I am convinced.
