Hi! Re Cows lying down, Cows lying down because it's going to rain is a myth, the main reason is, is that the grass is good and plentiful and they have full rumens, therefore they are lying down chewing the cud which means they regurgitate, re-chew and then re-swallow partially digested food to further help digestion. Lying down is an important activity for cows, as it's when they do most ruminating. Regards Mike. PS Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.

Happy Christmas! If you ever find yourself on The Shropshire Union Canal in Nantwich you will find lots of lovely old buildings to draw! Great vlog, glad the trre was dealt with! 🙂
My favourite mug used to be my dads. It’s a stoneware Pisces mug from west Germany. Unfortunately it’s got a tiny crack that’s growing bigger 😢 I asked my dad where he got it and he told me that a cleaner gave it to him while he was an apprentice as she accidentally broke his mug.
Question for you: I'm watching the "Last of the Summer Wine" episode "Who's Got Rhythm" and the guys are walking past a moored narrowboat. Is there a canal or river through Holmfirth (where it was filmed) that is navigable to narrowboats? Thanks!
Not as far as we can tell. The river Holme goes through Holmfirth, but there is nothing on any of our maps to suggest it is navigable. Maybe they filmed at the Huddersfield Narrow, that isn't too far away.

Ah that sounds amazing! 😍 No I've never been to Japan in autumn as most visits were during school holidays. I hope to one day 🍁
So Stuart's not making a tree trunk guitar ?
😂 not yet
Yep favourite mug all the way 👍 merry Christmas 🎄🎅🏻
Yes free heat from wood although it may need to be seasoned 😎
Yay! Team favourite mug!
And yes, Stu has a seasoning pile on the go all the time 😁
Hi The "pottery chimney things" on your mug are called bottle kilns and were used for firing pottery.
We often forget the proper words for things! 😅
Known the saying about the cows since I was a kid. Still use it.
Yay! I love that cow saying, even if it is a myth! 🐄🌧️

Oh what a lovely story behind your mug ❤️❤️❤️ maybe you can keep it as an ornament? Stu mended one of my broken favourites and I keep pens in it now
Have you ever given thought to a Refleks diesel heater? Never have to buy coal again.
We may do at some point, they seem like a potentially good idea but we haven't looked into it enough yet.
Xx
Merry Christmas from USA
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too 😊
A very Merry Christmas to both of you and a Guid New Year, when it comes. Take care and keep smiling.
Thank you so much! Wishing you a very merry Christmas and happy new year 😊❤️
Giving up free wood! Get it sawed chopped and stored!
We did actually take some of it previously.

I can’t decide if you are stuck/trapped when you realise or when you become trapped. That’s too big a question for my pay grade.
Ooh it is a bit philosophical! 😂 I still argue it's when you realise. Are you trapped if you aren't trying to leave and you can't...?
go buy a saw......
We have saws! It would have been a lot of work to get through that tree though so we are thankful CRT sorted it quickly!
