I've had a few narrowboat holidays and they've been the nost peaceful and restful I can remember. Your boat looks great and I love it that you've got modern gadgets on it too, as well as the traditional stuff.
Welcome aboard!
What a really great floating home May, all the mod cons anyone could wish for. Really glad the lamp looks like it grew there as it blends in with everything else. So thanks for showing us around as an insight to what a real narrowboat home can be made to look like. (Teddy lamp still up for grabs if you want it) Stay safe and happy.
Thanks again A!

Thanks for the show May. When I first went on the canal, in 1992, my first boat was a Colecraft shell, which I fitted out. Colecraft are really good, well-built boats.
Nice to see another good one.

Thanks for showing your World on the Water ! In Germany we call it: Gemütlich or mukkelig! A kind Hello to you from Germany, Rudi 👍
You're welcome, thanks for being here!
Love you beautiful home
Thanks so much Caroline 😊
Yesterday, for some unknown reason, the algorithm brought up your “Solo Summer Cruise” vlog. So glad it did.
The first time we heard about narrow boats was on the Inspector Morse/Lewis/Endeavour shows. Of course, the shows dealt with bodies being discovered caught in a lock, in the reeds, floating face down, or narrow boats set on fire to get rid of someone. But, they did show the locks in operation, albeit very briefly. It looked like a neat way to live a relaxing style of life (except, of course, in Oxford!).
Today, my wife wondered what your boat looked like below, and, lo and behold, this video popped up. We’re greatly enjoying your videos and have subscribed.
Yay! Welcome aboard Bill!
Merci pour cette belle vidéo May!. Belle maison!..Carlos🇨🇭..
You're welcome!
That’s a cozy engine room, I love that filing system using the cigarette tins! I wonder if it would fit altoids tins, that’s how I keep all my things filed.
Love it!
DIY picture frame video in the future, perhaps? Very easy little winter project. Get yourself to a little DIY shop, they should have some wood strips that would be a perfect width. I'm sure B&Q do them too. A piece of hardboard and a little hacksaw, stanley knife and steel rule - dont cut your fingers off! Measure your pictures, apply those measurements to the centre of the wood strip, cut at a 45 degree angle, cut the hardboard to the picture measurements plus half of the width of the wood strip on each side. Bit of wood glue round the edge. Sandwich the picture between the hardboard and strips. Job done!
She's a lovely boat. I love the little glimpses of her past life, the exhaust and the classic grandad tobacco tin sorting cupboard, mixed with the new technology of the air fryer and battery pack thing. Just wonderful. Thanks for the tour!
Nice idea! 😁
Beautiful Boat, Gorgeous May
Thanks!!
AWESOME! Am jealous! Well Dun.
😊
Love the cooker range whatever you call it taps cool great boat

Hi.lovely may nice boat❤❤❤
Thank you 🤗
You have a lovely home
Thank you
Genial 👍 excelente 😂🎉
Loved looking around your home May, a great insight into narrowboat home realities and feeds my fantasies of living on a narrowboat, although I've far too much stuff and hobbies to ever realise that fantasy haha. Especially loved that you have an engine room rather than just a pit in the stern, not seen one like that before, would be my equivalent of my shed haha.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The solar power battery pack, is a real game changer. Think of all the wonderful meal you can make in advance and just warm up over winter. Wellbeingonwater winter soup. As for the water tank I think you can buy water purifying tablets that could be helpful. (If and when you feel like doing that job) it wonderful that you see and share the past, present and future of your boat.
How exciting!
Well what a delight that was very interesting to watch, not only does it look homie would give more people the ideal to change to narrow boat,
Thanks 😊
Thanks
Thank you so much for this generosity, sending hugs
Thank you...
I just got a Air fryer and it is a game changer I now do most of my meals in it... I found out the best way to get rid of mold is borax detergent.. just cleaning it .. it may look clean but the root of it still there but to kill it all of it Borax does a great job... Just to let you know
Hello may mick from Hull I have just subscribed to your channel and I really enjoyed this episode and I really like your narrowboat and I will look forward to your next episode x😊😊
Hey Mick! Thanks for being here and showing up in the comments too!
At the beginning of your Video, during our last trip at the Oxford Canal, we moored up at this location twice, going towards Cropredy from there and within a few days, back up again. 2 Hedgehogs, 1 Fox & a Badger showed up at the site both times😁
Aww how lovely! the nature around here is amazing
Bloody love the channel and content the boat looks wicked
Thanks so much!
@@wellbeingonwater You are more than welcome hope you are having a nice chilled day will be watching the others vids over the weekend ;)
Ah I have the exact same power bank, it's fantastic. I particularly like it has a UPS and an EPS function which is handy. I'm planning to setup a system where I charge it up from solar during the day, then in the evening/night it can power a few appliances for 'free'.
That's awesome!
Ooo Libby at why not gallery in Burton on trent is a fantastic picture framer :) also the shop is just beautiful to visit too xx ❤
Thanks for the reccomendation!
Great video. Been looking for a fridge for my boat so I will check out the Montpelier. Hugs.
Please do!
YES! Absolutely love the Montpelier fridge section of your video! How adorable. More like that!! Have a good one!
My my! aren't you fun. Loving the sense of fun and the "Who gives a sh... damn!" attitude.
Hello May. So you've been boating on her for a coupla years. I just acquired a new van (Nissan thing in a Mafia suit) and I'm wondering who I may. meet on my future travels. Only got the monster (Van) on Wednesday just.
Happy travels to you and yours.
Dug Wolfe. Bristol.
DORff I love it!
Search Tim Conway, a comedian from America.
He does a skit called Dorf on golf.
Old but funny.
Good morning May, there should be a couple of water filters, one close to the water tank and one under the sink. I have a new Doulton water filter unit it's free to you if you don't have one fitted. I have insulated under my flooring and behind the window frames, my bedding etc is always dry
Thanks for the info
May your a very brave young lady as boat life is so different to living in an apartment on your own you have to maintain it and engines are quite something not to mention the locks
Nice wee hoose👍🏴.
Thanks Bonnie lad 👍
Awesome home! Thank you so much for giving us this look around.

Hello 👋 from John E May from USA 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hi MAY wot a lovely home you have greetings from Cornwall your Cornish fan
Thanks!! Hi from the Cut!
Weed hatch? Smoke em if you got em. So hi May from Australia, you seem to be having a real blast there so I might tune back in another time to see whats happening.
Hi May, moving your solar panel straps off them when not needed may considerably improve the performance of them. When I fitted solar panels to my brother's boat I read about the effects of partial shading and MPPT controllers and was sceptical that a small amount of shading can have a dramatic effect, but I did some experiments and yes, it is true. To simplify a very complex subject, it depends in the the way the individual cells are connected within each panel and how the panels are connected to the MPPT controller. But in essence a small amount of shading of one cell of one panel can radically effect how much electricity you get overall.
I realise that the British weather it fickle and having the straps in place gives you peace of mind. A better solution would be to reinforce the panel frames by fixing 3mm thick channel section aluminium along the short edges with the pivots and similar angle section along the long edges. I did this on my brother's boat and they survived storm force wind and waves crossing two oceans.
Ah very good, thanks for the advice. Interesting stuff!
@@wellbeingonwater You're very welcome.
Hello May, I used to live in the Black Country and have always had a fascination for barges. If you haven’t seen it you should watch a film called “The Barge Gee” brilliant film. How often do you empty your toilet and where can you, l don’t think emptying it in the canal would be appreciated. I found your link by accident, trying to play catch up but I’ve enjoyed everything you’ve done. Keep it up and take care. xxxx
Brilliant! Thanks for sharing Colin!
Thank you may for yet another great video and a look round your boat very interesting thanks Paul xx
Glad you enjoyed it
What a great home , thanks for sharing 👍❤️
Youre welcome 😊
nice boat, I think the solar panels will generate better when cleaned and not partially obscured by straps etc.
Thanks, recently cleaned and changed the straps 👍
Went to visit Tewkesbury today cos my birthday.....well the river Avon is one side of the town.... and there was a narrowboat moored up roughly size of yours.... wonder how it got there.... cheers me dears xx
This is great!
Hi, Kenny G here. I am thoroughly impressed with your 3 tier integrated parallel power support system. You should have plenty of juice for
