Dear friends, I have been thinking about your need to fund your new engine, and wondered if you had considered crowdfunding? To this end, I have spent a happy evening counting the number of likes that you scored on your 94 vlogs. (I’m suffering from Bobbing Along withdrawal syndrome) stand by for figures. The lowest number of likes you’ve ever received is 151. Twenty three vlogs got between that and 200. From there up to 300, you got fifty episodes , and there were 21 episodes that got more than 300 likes. And then! the very first one received 625 likes. Wow! And try as I may, I can not get that to add up to 94. My best result was 92. Anyway, I think you certainly have enough support to ask your supporters (such as me) to help pay for your new engine. Oh my dear chap, my heart bleeds for you over loosing your wedding ring. A few years ago I took off my wedding and engagement rings at a motorway service station, together with my wrist watch all given to me by my wife over 50 years ago. When we got home I couldn’t find them at all, so know how you feel. I was gutted for over 6 months, when amazingly they turned up when Mary was cleaning out some canvas holders. We must have had that one with us at the time, and I must have put them in for safe keeping. The first thing I did when they turned up, was to take pictures of them all, so that if I ever lost them again, I could at least claim the insurance. It would never wipe out the pain of losing them, but at least it would be something. My thoughts are with you. With condolences, Berwyn.

Hi again Stu and Emmie, my mother made some Elderflower champagne and put it in old wine bottles and put them in a cupboard in the larder. Some time later (a few weeks), we were having Sunday lunch when we heard an enormous bang coming from the kitchen area. Dad went to investigate and found nothing, but a few hours later mum noticed that the floor was wet by the larder cupboard. Looking inside she saw the cork had blown out of one of the bottles and the Elderflower champagne was still leaking gently onto the floor. So dad had a great idea, and tied the remaining corks on with string. This time, on investigating a further wet larder floor,mum found that the string was unbroken, but there were 2 half pieces of cork on the shelf. Beware the power of the Elder flower! Xxx B.

Dear Emmie and Stu, sorry I spelled your name wrong in my last comment. Thought you might like to know that when we had a motor home, I bought a shopping trolley for a couple of pounds, and removed the canvas bag part and with the aid of two luggage straps, made myself a trolley to tow the toilet cassette with one hand and my elbow crutch in the other to the Elsan point. Having found you trapped by a tree on the Leek branch about a month ago, I have come back to the start to watch your whole wonderful journey, and spend more time in your company. We are really surprised that there was no mess after all that lifting out and moving of the boat. Those tomatoes must really love you a lot, they hung on in their pots and didnt fall over xxx

That went really well, though stressfull.. Nice potatos that you grew 🤩

We felt your pain at having to clear your roof, that was us when we wanted to go through Harecastle tunnel. We had a gorgeous roof garden at the time :) Glad the move went smoothly. Those potatoes looked yummy but avocado on toast? Noooo!

Good to see the move went well, and that Annie is intact, except for throwing away the window 😂. Your home grown potatoes looked delicious. Whether avocado is sliced or smashed, the important thing is not to end up with 'avocado hand'! Have a great couple of weeks 😊
