Atmospheric pressure is around 1 kg/cm2 so 2 kg/cm2 pressure is sufficient to vent air inside drum into the atmospheric pressure if you closed it 3 to 4 kg/cm2 it is only waste of steam though Drum vent. SH drains recommended to closed at 10 kg/cm2 because up to 10 kg/cm2 there will be condensation in SH circuit must have to remove it.
One question beyond topic. TDBFP tripped in high vibration at point v41 point at 120 micron. Sollution regarding this? However casing drain is in open condition.
