My suggestion would be is to have one person in your moms car and have the other person in the truck holding the revs between 2000 and 3000 rpms and see if that’ll try to start the dodge journey
Get them to check the connections for you. They are just standing around. You have very good cables as far as I can see but if you don’t have the connection then it’s worthless. They should be at both vehicles with both clamps in hand making sure at all times you have good connection. You shouldn’t even have to get out of that Journey if you have help like that. I’d kick my friends in the a** if the6 did that crap to me…lol
Should have revved that truck up to around 2,000 rpm or better and held it there a while and let it charge a while, man that battery is flatter than any old pancake.
starter relay is bad or not a good connection...take lid off of fuse panel left side. STARTER RELAY. This is a safety feature Dodge put in to not allow the engine to start and damage more.. Or take a metal rod and tap the starter
All you had to do was give the other car some gas to drive the amps through or wait a few minutes. also always hook negative up first, you know nothing about this.
The connection at the battery is rusted and it's no connection to the sensor to charge the battery while driving ot that a battery is in the car the computer doesn't know
Dam bro I have the same vehicle these vehicle when the battery die an your using a jumper it need to charge your battery at least 5 min it will start my truck give me the same so I know
This guy has a very poor idea about car mechanics, when the battery has very little volts, he had to leave it getting some charge from the other truck and then starts it.
This was painful to watch. Thanks to the guy for saying what i was thinking.
Ok?
It definitely hurt to watch 😂
I solved this problem, Only problem is FUSE, number 10 (Yellow) Open fuse box and replace it, car will be run
Don't change battery or anlaser

OMG! I'm a woman and know that you have to let the battery charge some before it will start. Goodness! SMH.
Oh
Rite tho it's not going to start right off the bat as soon as you plug the cables up
The horn blows everything lit up but he has a bad connection. Smh. Gotta give the battery time.

Same problem with my moms journey and it was a timing chain. It did the same problem as this video.
Nice, a Video on how not to start a Dodge Journey. you don't see that everyday.
Thanks man
Lol facts
their known to have bad ground connections
It’s in immobilized mode, it turns over but kills after 2 seconds
Connection is not loose if the horn blows. Your battery is dead not weak. Give it time. You about to burn the dang starting
Oh.
Well my grandpa charged the battery with a charger and this car started back up
Should have revved that truck up to around 2,000 rpm or better and held it there a while and let it charge a while, man that battery is flatter than any old pancake.
Oh yeah, I might have forgot about that
You can actually start a car with just a battery
starter relay is bad or not a good connection...take lid off of fuse panel left side. STARTER RELAY. This is a safety feature Dodge put in to not allow the engine to start and damage more.. Or take a metal rod and tap the starter
Yeah my dodge does that too
Had a new computer put in and it did did the same thing
What ended up being the problem to get it fixed ? Mine is doing the same thing.
Same truck, same problem even with new battery. Did you know what was the problem and how to fit it?
Let the battery charge.
My mom owns a 2011 dodge journey sxt, grayish blueish
Wow I'm speechless wtf . I sometime wonder. How some make it out the birth canal .....
start out by letting it charge for a couple mins instead of taking the chance of burning up your starter lol
+d boyd Ok
Take battery to check for charge ability. (To Part store) If it cant be charged, you need new battery.
@@jameslee1278
It is in the worst spot anyone can put a battery on. Gota take the tire off just to get started
Horn still works?
you're all good first you have to leave the battery charging for a while and after a while you start it up and that's it manso
All you had to do was give the other car some gas to drive the amps through or wait a few minutes. also always hook negative up first, you know nothing about this.
Oh wow this is so cool bro and you're almost to 600 subs
+ALVINNN Yep. Thanks bro :)

Put it in neutral and then try and start it
If it's not started can you put it in gear?
Let the batter charge be patient
Ok
Should start right up that battery is real bad dude. Shouldn’t take more then 30 seconds to charge it back up.
Oh ok
Did you ever figure it out?
@@frankolvera1337 yeah
Slow down son and give the battery time to charge!

It's too dead.
That battery was so dead the horn would not blow at first, you have to let the battery charge a min.
Oh ok
You the know the battery is completely drain, Charge it and let it rip. SMH 🤦♂️ com’on man
Mi carro se apagó y ya no quiso arrancar por pasar un charco de agua ya se le cambio la estara y el filtro y no enciende. Que puede ser.
Lol next time use powerful jumpers at least 600A or higher. Nothing wrong there your battery was just too low on voltage.
Oh ok
glad your buddies had a clue
Yeah
Dam bro I have the same vehicle these vehicle when the battery die an your using a jumper it need to charge your battery at least 5 min it will start my truck give me the same so I know

Get your mom a new car or a new battery for that Dodge Journey.
Her battery works fine now
Ean GS Yerbic yay
It's back to life right now.
I hate Dodges, now they don't start.
Well my grandpa's battery charger helped it charger and the battery now started it up fine and there is a problem with the starter now.
