if u see this wobble, ur fix worked for me. I thought it was an insult to have it at 50 if u have a fantastic gaming rig but apparently that’s the way u have to do it since rockstar never planned on the game still being played this many years later.

I have a RTX2060. Dipped as low as 43fps in some cases. Downgrading the game didn't help, DXVK for some reason didn't help (or didn't register), but adding the commandlines you gave it now runs a constant 60fps maxed out! Thank you!
Thanks man, I increased my video memory as well, this was very important coz it wouldn't detect my graphics card and thus not allowing me to fully utilize the max graphics settings in the game. Like I was getting 50-60 fps before it's a lot smoother now feels like 70-85 fps. My screen is 144 hz I wish I could use the full potential tho 😂. Your video is exactly how a fix video should be unlike a million other videos where they take 5 mins just to get to the topic.

Dude please help. It doesnt work. Iv'e got a RX 6700 XT with a Ryzen 5600x and runs so shitty betweetn 25-45 fps. It use to ron far better when I had a 2060 Super with a Ryzen 3600. Freakin' nonsense. I dont have Steam version. Is the Rockstar laucher. And I dont see as many files as you got in your game folder (none of the patch files overwrited anything). What should I do?
maybe because of complete edition i got more files but that doesn't matter in this fix work for both versions, add launch option in rockstar game launcher, the same as i did in steam do same in rockstar game launcher there will be one option of launch options

Hey everyone if your gta still stutters, try disconnecting your controller or even turn off bluetooth. I tried just playing keyboard and it never lagged again. Then i went and try to connect my Ds4 mid game then it immediately stutter dropping my fps to 60-30. Also try just turning vsync and Fps limiter on

I tried this it does nothing, the stuttering is unbelievable every few minutes it happens, I’ve never played a gta game before, so I thought I’d start with IV looks great on pc but unfortunately I just can’t get it to run properly at all..😢
It worked! the performance is better overall but for some reason, after a cutscenes ends, it flickers for a bit before loading the mission. My FPS also dropped when i was in water for some reason. i lowered the resolution for the water which did make it a bit better but the fps still drops.

I tried looking for that file folder to replace the files but I wasn't able to find it as steam and the rockstar launcher seem to install the game differently. Can you provide a step by step guide on how to change the files for rockstar launcher users?

dxvk only works if your graphics card has vulkan drivers.

For all people you must adjust the command txt file
In the last Line is a number change the number to your vram in mb
How do i change it
Just remove last number from command line and same with text file open it replace last 4 number with ur gpu vram number in mb and hit save

My game doesn't start with both d3d9 and dxgi, it only starts with d3d9. Any idea on what it could be? My logs don't show anything weird either.
