Thanks, it works. I will just share details below... Acer swift 3 with intel UHD 620, windows 11, 64 bit 12 GB RAM (4 GB basic + 8 GB RAM i installed there myself to empty slot - it was hard to get inside without proper tools) i created that needed file in registry. I wrote 1024 and selected decimal. After restarting PC, my vram in specs increased from 128 MB to 1024 MB. PC works completely fine. No problems. I'm about to test CSGO.
@@EasyTechGeek update: It propably did not improve performance. CSGO did not run well. Laptop was super overheating and fps low (even though i put all settings on low). And i read somewhere that this tutorial will only change the properties (its like fake rolex or using filter on IG, or using fake weights in the gym), but not the actual performance. A lot of comments... On Intel integrated video cards, all the memory is shared memory, up to 50% of installed ram. it increases with demand. the problem is, is that it takes the processor time to decide what the required memory to share is and keep a stable balance. I have 48gb of ram and it still lags on me. I don't need that much ram to play most games so this is going to take load off the processor and just have more memory on standby that was already doing nothing. I haven't restarted my computer yet, but as long as the string does what he says it does, i'm more than confident that it will work. thank you for the perfectly simple solution to such a pesky annoyance.
Bro, this actually worked. Even though dedicated memory still reads 128mb, I actually got a pretty significant increase in FPS and smoothness in the games I tested, Crysis and Alice Madness Returns. I got from 6 to 10 FPS increase, which may not seem like much, but it's enough to improve both gameplay and enjoyment of those games. People just have to be realistic about their expectations. Anyway, thank you for sharing. It truly works.
Thanks! Minecraft went from unplayable to just mediocre but playable performance. I did a bit of research and what the hack basically does is it fakes the memory increase so that it can somehow report a higher amount. Either way these iGPUs were never meant for heavy gaming

Careful when doing this, it could slow down your PC since it's puliing from your RAM, apparently it's difficult to undo this. Plus the title's a bit misleading since RAM and VRAM apparently are totally different from each other.
It fakes the memory size won't affect PC as it's all shared dynamically but yes ram and vram is different but not as much as you think. Vram is for dedicated graphics V stands for video ram. It's normally faster than system memory. But that's it. As a example if you have the new Ryzen with on board 680M it takes memory from the systems DDR5 if you have that in dual channel you will see just as good if not better than pairable cards running with GDDR5 memory.
Hello, even if my PC is of 64bit, should I still go with the 32bit option? Another question, any way to undo the change if it has been done? Thank you!
i have 2 gb ram, and my dedicated memory was set to 1024, should i change it to 256 or let it like that. Also which one will boost my gaming and windows performance better?
I have a question. I have a HP Pavilion 20, I’m not sure if there’s more to the name or whatever. But it’s super slow, it can game, but the graphics I guess isn’t good. It does horrible in full graphic games and even when it’s low it’s still not great. I’ve done every setting I know of to make it better but nothing helps. The gaming is super choppy, laggy, glitchy, and just slow and un-smooth. I have no clue what to upgrade my computer too and I’m wondering if you can help me figure it out. And by upgrade my computer too, I mean like, RAM, GPU, ETC something inside I can upgrade to help it game better. I only play 1 game and it’s not great.
i have the same pc as you its all in one so its not upgradable only ram and ssd can be upgraded i upgraded my ram from 4 gb to 12 gb it helps a lot in multitasking purpose i would also recommend you to do the same
My computer started off with 4gb ram with 128mb video ram. But ive just put in an extra 16gb ram to boost myself up to 20gb total. Can i now use a new vram of 2560 or do i have to use the intial value?
Bro I have a doubt ..in power plan settings it does not show..high performance..it shows when I create a power plan ....so I have a doubt that ..instead of that ..can I use .bitsum park control for bitsum highest performance ..as it also does the same thing by increasing performance... So bro which one is better ..the windows default..high performance..or bitsum park control ????????
@@reportm9310 yeah i mean its much safer to just leave it at default, ofc high performance may give your more FPS in games, but may overheat you PC,.High temperatures wear faster different components within the laptop, so you have to expect less lifespan than a pc. so its best to leave it at default.
I followed the steps and changed my dedicated video memory to 1024mb because I have an 8gb ram but when I restarted the computer, it showed me 576mb as the dedicated video memory on the display adapter properties. I want to know if that's ok
i have a doubt . please reply. i have a nvidia GeForce mx450 with intel iris xe graphics card. does increasing the ram in intel have any effect on GPU . Will my laptop use both vram for my game . I have used a software to find my vram and it shows I have 2 gb vram . when I used your method it shows 128mb .
Will it really increase performance because dedicated might be 128 but shared is still 8GB+, so when ever you need extra vram it will automatically take it from shared memory.🤔
@Tech Class it is on TH-cam. Just search how to increase shared memory or IGPU memory. But rather than dedicating extra ram to IGPU you can dedicate it to share memory.
worked like a charm for me. i have two gpus in my pc. intel graphics and nvidia quadro k620m. would it be possible to do the same for the nvidia. if yes, would it be the same process?
interesting... I have dedicated graphics on my pc. I don't have anything under INTEL other than HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intel\PSIS Does this mean I cannot upgrade the vram setting? Also my dedicated ram is at 1024 mb IT SAYS my available video ram is 8659 mb/ system vram is 0mb and shared system memory is 7635mb Is there anything I can do to get little more out of my ram... It didn't increase my Video Memory. I followed all your steps properly but nothing changed. My video ram was 512 MB and after the process also 512 MB☹️
same question 😑
Same
I have integrated graphics with AMD RADEON VEGA 8
My ram is 4+4=8gb
Dedicated video memory is 2048 mb
So, if i upgrade my ram to 8+8gb, is there a possibility that video memory will also increase?
nah bro upgrading RAM doesn't increase VRAM
Amd does take ram into shared gpu memory if you have a 500 or b500 series motherboard you can increase it via bios upto 16gb
This worked out perfectly. I play Warhammer 3 so once I saw I couldn't use the Unlimited Video Memory I was freaking out!
Great!!!
I have 12GB ram but still video memory doesn’t increases more than 512MB

Well...I've got 32GB of ram, with intel UHD 630, and my dedicated vram came up to 128bit. First I wrote 4096, than 2048, but it stayed at 128MB vram, any other way to increase it a bit?
You can't increase Vram as it's a feature of the physical component. Just buy a new GPU, these vram increasing techniques won't work
@@ItsJustFrag can you change the CPU in your laptop 💻

how can you survive with only 512 mb ram? are you even using windows or a trash os?

How do I fix this? It's slowed down my PC drastically and it can't function after 5 minutes now

Yes 32 bit even for 64 bit. And yes you can undo by just deleting the changes

I only play 1 game and it’s not great.
i have the same pc as you its all in one so its not upgradable only ram and ssd can be upgraded i upgraded my ram from 4 gb to 12 gb it helps a lot in multitasking purpose i would also recommend you to do the same
Thanks broo .... my gta 5 now runs at 25 fps which is playable for me ... first it was just not playable.... thanks broo Love you 💖

Windows recommended high performance is any time better than anything else. 👍
@@EasyTechGeek not true for gaming
@@reportm9310 yeah i mean its much safer to just leave it at default, ofc high performance may give your more FPS in games, but may overheat you PC,.High temperatures wear faster different components within the laptop, so you have to expect less lifespan than a pc. so its best to leave it at default.

4gb maybe
i have a doubt . please reply. i have a nvidia GeForce mx450 with intel iris xe graphics card. does increasing the ram in intel have any effect on GPU .
Right
@Tech Class how can be total memory be still 4 gb?😳 do you mean the shared 1.7GB?
@Tech Class it is on TH-cam. Just search how to increase shared memory or IGPU memory. But rather than dedicating extra ram to IGPU you can dedicate it to share memory.
This is so wonderful. I have struggled to get to this . God bless you.
