Acer swift 3 with intel UHD 620, windows 11, 64 bit
12 GB RAM (4 GB basic + 8 GB RAM i installed there myself to empty slot - it was hard to get inside without proper tools)
i created that needed file in registry. I wrote 1024 and selected decimal.
After restarting PC, my vram in specs increased from 128 MB to 1024 MB.
PC works completely fine. No problems.
I'm about to test CSGO.

@@EasyTechGeek update: It propably did not improve performance. CSGO did not run well. Laptop was super overheating and fps low (even though i put all settings on low). And i read somewhere that this tutorial will only change the properties (its like fake rolex or using filter on IG, or using fake weights in the gym), but not the actual performance. The only way is changing it in bios (on acer swift 3 it is not possible to change vram option) or buy new graphic card.
But at least this tutorial did not harm my PC, still grateful though :D
I would still recommend to buy gaming laptop with good specs or easy games like old NFS, CS1.6, Warcraft etc., instead of these desperate attempts of playing games on weak PCs.

I have a question. I have a HP Pavilion 20, I’m not sure if there’s more to the name or whatever. But it’s super slow, it can game, but the graphics I guess isn’t good. Thanks! Minecraft went from unplayable to just mediocre but playable performance. I did a bit of research and what the hack basically does is it fakes the memory increase so that it can somehow report a higher amount. Either way these iGPUs were never meant for heavy gaming

Will it set Overclocking on cpu? And is this for 64bit as well? I need Ram to accept 32gb for it only giving me 24gb no matter the size gig in black and blue slots of 4. Keeps dividing the 6 channels as 4gb ea to total 24gb.

okay so theres a 2 solution to change it : so you go to setting and go to security and click the 6th bar (sorry couldn't find the word in english you go to security and count on 6 and at the 6th option you click) then click restart now and go to troubleshoot and click advanced and click eumifi hardware or smth like that then restart and you will go to the bios and there should be a graphics option but it'll be located in different sections in some models but then you click at the max M (my laptop is 4gb ram and it appears 512M to allocate of ram)
The 6th bar is "recovery"

Bro, this actually worked. Even though dedicated memory still reads 128mb, I actually got a pretty significant increase in FPS and smoothness in the games I tested, Crysis and Alice Madness Returns. I got from 6 to 10 FPS increase, which may not seem like much, but it's enough to improve both gameplay and enjoyment of those games. People just have to be realistic about their expectations. Anyway, thank you for sharing. It truly works.

I'm not sure what happened, but I have a MSI Stealth 15, I7 w/ RTX 3060. I went from 37ish FPS to 70+ on warthunder! It could be just my mind playing tricks, but the sound is better too. I can see so good now. Thoughts?

I had done this already but realized I set it to low by mistake and now it's set to use 32gb of ram for shared video processing and its a world of different by 2080 super got a big performance boost. Using many other tricks in addition I got it run 5k at 144-120fps.
@@exolocks6615 no I have 64gb of ram between 2 sticks of ram and 32gb is the max it allows me use as I set it to 64gb but it only accepted 32gb of share memory. Just input 8320 and see what happens as it will likely default to half your ram or maybe 32gb. Depending on how your system runs the wosrt thing likely to happen is you will need to set it to 4160 no damage done if you system runs slow. The odds of your system running slow as a result is unlikely unless you're processing massive amounts of data much more then any game would need to process basically. Your only telling it to share ram memory space for any video processing it really shouldn't slow other parts of you system. I would recommend only allotting half you ram to share memory as I planned. Me setting it to 64gb was a experiment.
I have only crossed 50gb of ram in use for what I use it to do so far and it's unlikely you will need so much ram. So basically I yet to use the last 14gb of ram at any give time yet. I had 8gb set to share video memory and now set to 32gb my fps has both increased and become more stabilized. I got a increase of 20fps and greater stability basically but these will depend on what graphic card your using and all you're settings throughout your pc, bios and in game.

@@reportm9310 yeah i mean its much safer to just leave it at default, ofc high performance may give your more FPS in games, but may overheat you PC,.High temperatures wear faster different components within the laptop, so you have to expect less lifespan than a pc. so its best to leave it at default.

It doesn't make a difference on performance, it actually fools windows into thinking you have a higher VRAM, no modifying.

After doing it with 4gb ram my (GPU) section in pes 2017 specifications settings went from 'unable' to 'bad' and I can now choose medium and high settings. Yet to play it though so I don't know about the fps yet

hello, do you have any advice for playing in 1440p (3440x1440) with a GPU with 4gb vram (details at a minimum)?
it's a Mi8/Radeon R9 nano instict. I know very well that it could not be, but I do it anyway, I ask in case anyone knows about some software settings, BIOS or on the AMD panel or some setting / technology developed within the game settings (in addition to low details) to make the card go better in 1440, make the vram work better or try not to saturate.

Bro I dunno what happened I used your setting and waited literally 15 min for the computer to restart. I checked the dedicated memory. It was same 128mb.
BUT when I opened task manager I found
My cpu usage was 2% which was generally 70%
My disk literally all time 100% but now it was 1%
My ram which was around 95% was now only 24%
AND I WAS ALSO HAVING A MASSSIVE FPS BOOST

Well...I've got 32GB of ram, with intel UHD 630, and my dedicated vram came up to 128bit. First I wrote 4096, than 2048, but it stayed at 128MB vram, any other way to increase it a bit?
You can't increase Vram as it's a feature of the physical component. Just buy a new GPU, these vram increasing techniques won't work
