In this video you will see the installation of a brand new harmonic balancer / vibration dampener on a C3 Corvette, Chevy 5.7L 350 cid V8 SBC Engine. I take my time to show you the tools and the procedure to press on a new harmonic balancer and associated pulleys on this 1977 sbc engine. It's a straight forward process and with a few hand tools and harmonic balancer removal and installation tool, you can install the harmonic balance without damaging the crankshaft by tapping the harmonic balancer on....the wrong way.

WHY would you install a rubber freeze plug instead of a copper or steel plug in the cylinder head?

That plug was previously in there and Oro sky done by the previous owner who had it for 20 years. I'll look into putting a new metal one in ASAP. J. Thanks for the comment
