The plan was a sum of all they could exploit to catch Frieren. It was her mana detection stopping, the fact that zoltraak is new to her so her response is slow and the fact even detecting mana she has trouble sensing Fern. It was a pretty good plan not depending on just 1 thing 👌

I think yall are forgetting that the monster is the one controlling the replicas, not the examiners. The replicas replicate all of the mages' mana, abilities, and mannerisms, but the monster controlling them is giving the directions. The replicas arent gonna be pacifists and go easy because this is a test, cuz they dont care. Sense only said that she was a pacifist in the sense that she gave all the examinees bottles to get them out safely if they choose to use them. So when the monster in the dungeon's goal is to kill any people coming towards it and stay alive, the replicas are gonna have that goal, and while they might go about it in their own way based on the personality of the person they are mimicking, the goal is to kill
@6:30 yea.....it would still only be Frieren and Fern that walked out.....the rest can't hold a candle to Frieren when she is unchained by a conscience....
Loved the conversation at the end. When you started talking about Side Step being an OP anime move, I suddenly thought: "Is Zoltraak just a super advanced version of Pocket Sand?"
The way I saw Fern showing everyone Frieren's weakness is that: 1. Even if they know her weakness, Frieren would still win. 2. Frieren probably only has to deal with these people for the duration of the exam (which is like 5 minutes to her). 3. Why would she worry about a small group of strangers knowing her weakness if they're going be dead in less than a mere 100 years (likely a lot less than that for most of them).
Frieren got to see her her own total defeat at the hands of a mage who can surpass her, who she taught no less, and gets to live to tell the tale. No wonder she's smiling.
The second ending is literally foreshadowing the future, everything is repeating itself, fern will eventually die, but frieren will remain, thats why, you see frieren lying down at the grave, but at the end of the ending, she is in fern lap... same spot were the grave was
A sad fact is that no matter how much they cherish the memories, they probably won't be able to visit Flamme's grave anymore 😢 unless Serie preserved it, but i doubt since it didn't look like she asked where it was
whenever u see serie use the "an apprentice i took on a whim" u know she cared deeply. in the end, she still fulfilled flamme's will, heading the continental magic association.
The cool thing is, even 1000 years ago Frieren wasn't like Serie. She rejected Serie's offer of a spell because it just wasn't important or relevant to her. And Frieren probably has Flamme to thank for that, honestly. Low key, Flamme the Human is the most immortal character in this story.
This might be on the majority of Frieren clone, but may also be more on Serie's vulnerability on this specific child she met that became a legendary human mage. Flamme is the reason why humans can do magic, and the more reason why Frieren roams around her years of centuries living in search of oddly, weird and strange spells over the years.
I was surprised at how actually simple and quick it seemed. Also I’m really looking forward to the others holding back the replicas, unless the girls get to the thing first
The thing is, Serie seems to feel threatened by humans. She's therefore trying to make Frieren cautious of them, wanting to protect her from them. But Frieren doesn't see humans as a threat to begin with. A human could kill her, but so could an elf, dwarf or a demon. Except humans, elves, and dwarves won't WANT to kill her for no reason. Frieren sees the humanity in people, while Serie only sees battlefields. Truly, Frieren was a mage born for an era of peace. The part about humans having short lives and should make decisions fast hits hard.
I disagree slightly. I don't get the sense Serie was threatened by humans, moreso she's just very rational and pragmatic about it. She know how quick human's develop. She's seen through people like Flamme how humans will work their butts off to develop and create a foundation for those who come after to stand on. Standing on the shoulders of giants and all that. Meanwhile Serie and Frieren don't really have that. They live for thousands of years but they lack the level of drive and determination that humanity has on top of natural benefits like what Frieren was talking about to Fern where for Fern zoltraak is this natural spell she's known all her life as a mage, something Frieren doesn't have. So it's less that Serie is intimidated by them and more she just recognizes how things are going to progress. She's basically running a marathon solo against an opponent who keeps passing the baton to better and better runners. It ties back to earlier in the series when Frieren broke the barrier "This is why I can't give up being a mage, because with magic even heaven and earth can be flipped upside down." Magic is the great equalizer in this world. It makes the impossible possible turning what was once fairy tales into reality, and Serie knows that no matter how powerful she is eventually someone will come along who will turn the tables on her. And if anything I think she relishes that fact. I think she looks forward to it. My theory is that is why she takes on apprentices like Flamme, in the hopes that she will eventually find the one who will surpass her.
I wonder if ferns weakness is literally so simple. Like “I can’t kill frieren” or something, like she cares about her too much and the clone does too 😂
If anyone aside from Fern and Frieren had gone in that room... they would have gotten bodied in the first 2 seconds of the fight 😂🤣😂 Fern went from turn based combat to bullet hell mode in 0.01 seconds!!!
I like the simple fact that for Frieren's super spells, the colors are in infrareds and ultraviolets cuz we just can't visually comprehend how broken she is
next episode is gonna be a blast!!! with 3 episode more to go...we will see the others shine too... If Frieren does not win awards next year, people will riot for sure....
This entire episode i was on edge that Replica Fern was also inside that room with Replica Frieren, stealthing it up, and the second our actual mages think theyve won: *Replica Zoltraak*

5:30 Lawine and Kanne really ensuring the lesbian domestic violence statistic stayes up there
@11:55 she didn't need to tell her because she figured Frieren already knew. and clearly she did.....lol
That'd be like telling a 40 something year old DBZ fan that Goku can go super saiyan.
Loved the conversation at the end. When you started talking about Side Step being an OP anime move, I suddenly thought: "Is Zoltraak just a super advanced version of Pocket Sand?"
The way I saw Fern showing everyone Frieren's weakness is that:
"This is not a gag, this is how lesbians flirt" I see you
Frieren got to see her her own total defeat at the hands of a mage who can surpass her, who she taught no less, and gets to live to tell the tale. No wonder she's smiling.
The second ending is literally foreshadowing the future, everything is repeating itself, fern will eventually die, but frieren will remain, thats why, you see frieren lying down at the grave, but at the end of the ending, she is in fern lap... same spot were the grave was
A sad fact is that no matter how much they cherish the memories, they probably won't be able to visit Flamme's grave anymore 😢 unless Serie preserved it, but i doubt since it didn't look like she asked where it was
I love how much Sheera gets and vibes with this anime!
denken be pulling out a blick in next episode when everybody got bodied by fern mimic, "i maybe run out of mana but not option"
10:36 actually crazy statement
whenever u see serie use the "an apprentice i took on a whim" u know she cared deeply. in the end, she still fulfilled flamme's will, heading the continental magic association.
Fern is a beautiful example of:
"Strong foundation and understanding the basics, is key".
Loool this was the one of the funniest post-reaction discussions in a while.
Its wild frieren is over 1000 and still considered young, i wonder how old that monk elf was
The cool thing is, even 1000 years ago Frieren wasn't like Serie. She rejected Serie's offer of a spell because it just wasn't important or relevant to her. And Frieren probably has Flamme to thank for that, honestly. Low key, Flamme the Human is the most immortal character in this story.
When you realize there are 3 episodes left, but spring brings back 3 beloved fantasy series
Which ones bro?
@@JPSaga77 konosuba, mushoku tensei and reincarnated as a slime
@KaiserReinhard Demon slayer is barely even Fantasy
@KaiserReinhard I don't think they're reacting to misfit anymore, and to me demon slayer ain't fantasy, it's supernatural
@@jewelabyss and slime is meant to be two 2 episodes every week
My comment was not stupid.
謝謝!
it's funny how I watched this and The Blind Bandit | Avatar Book 2 Ep 6 Reaction from three years ago you said the same thing about the Side Step haha
God I love how that fight starts, both subtly aiming their staffs and responding with rapid barriers.
Never forget a Demon had a rope tied around her neck and Frieren was just blocking it with raw mana output.

Lupasan for real thanks for always making me laugh 😂
Serie is voiced by Maria Ise who also voices Killua (HxH -2011), Juiz (Undead Unluck), Reg (Made in Abyss), Ray (The Promise Neverland), Stocking (Panty & Stocking), Sen (Ben To), Kiku (One Piece), Himeno (Chainsaw Man), Guila (7 Deadly Sins), Levy & Romeo (Fairy Tail), Bonnie & others (Pokemon), Dorothy (Black Clover), Myouga (Medoka Box), Lenessia & Itherus (Log Horizon), Wizard Boy (Goblin Slayer), Foo & Atroe (JoJo), Mika & young Shinara (Durarara), Sanzu (Kyuketsuki Sugu Shinu), Syria (Maken-ki), Ludmila (Lord Marksman & Vanadis), Yukina (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress), Sonoka (Masamune-kun’s Revenge), Haruki (Heavenly Delusion), Erika (Maid Sama), Miku (The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace), Tiger Lily & Sherbet (Cookie Run: Kingdom), & many more
And also, kid Gojo (JJK) :D
oh no wonder she sounds like killua
So basically " She was only ever a student i trained on a whim" Is Seire Version of "it's only mere ten years"
So glad you guys watched Pluto. S tier show.
Watched the first episode but the piano scene put me to sleep, i guess it's better if you watched Astroboy before.
Sheera with a great catch there on Frieren's "weakness", anyone else other than Frieren herself that steps in the room is dead.
Meanwhile Roshi still tripping about Fern "revealing" it to people like anyone other than Frieren could distract Frieren. 😂
Sheera did not say "a whole new set" 😂😂
Not me dying of laughter after reading today's video comment. I was like..um no...wait yes!
5:30 as a girl who likes girls, i can confirm that LMAO
This might be on the majority of Frieren clone, but may also be more on Serie's vulnerability on this specific child she met that became a legendary human mage. Flamme is the reason why humans can do magic, and the more reason why Frieren roams around her years of centuries living in search of oddly, weird and strange spells over the years.
I was surprised at how actually simple and quick it seemed.
Also I’m really looking forward to the others holding back the replicas, unless the girls get to the thing first
@7:30 LOL Raw level 3 Super.
I hope they show some of the matchups they end up going with outside the final room.. I gotta know how they handle ferns clone
@@CeliriaRose great mental image you've come up with. Kudos to you!
5:30 Lol, based editor.
5:54 more like he came into the dungeon Babalazed 😂😂
Animation went crazy this episode
A comment I saw on another vid that has me HYPED for next episode is that we haven't seen the Fern replica yet 🤯
spoiler alert , its weak , fern is just like an assassins mage , not suitable to duel face to face ...
@@andyserizawa That's not how you use spoiler tags.
Frieren and Fern just casually being her.
Frieren really said, "Nah, I'd win"
5:31 excuse me?😂😂😂😂😂
Pluto and Flamme would be best friends
I wonder if ferns weakness is literally so simple. Like “I can’t kill frieren” or something, like she cares about her too much and the clone does too 😂
If anyone aside from Fern and Frieren had gone in that room... they would have gotten bodied in the first 2 seconds of the fight 😂🤣😂
Fern went from turn based combat to bullet hell mode in 0.01 seconds!!!
A drunk incapacitated teammate in a fight is the average solo que league experience.
In Karate the sidestep is a overpower technique if you can do it correctly.
They really throw us to a whole flashback sequence right before fern's killing blow lol.
I like the simple fact that for Frieren's super spells, the colors are in infrareds and ultraviolets cuz we just can't visually comprehend how broken she is
Sidesteps are also used in video games like minecraft, COD, LOL etc. It is pretty OP
Frieren is basically raising the first human that could kill her.
10:39 "a whole new set" is crazy LMAO
9:10 cracked me up, is fun watching series with y'all
next episode is gonna be a blast!!! with 3 episode more to go...we will see the others shine too...
If Frieren does not win awards next year, people will riot for sure....
This entire episode i was on edge that Replica Fern was also inside that room with Replica Frieren, stealthing it up, and the second our actual mages think theyve won:
*Replica Zoltraak*
Did you guys notice Frieren replica using Blink?
