  • Hatching eggs yourself using an incubator can be a rewarding and amazing experience.
    Choosing an incubator is an important part of the process. I like the Little Giant 9300 Still Air Incubator with digital thermostat. It's easy to use and understand. Follow the step by step instructions to have good hatching success.
    Besides a good incubator, choosing fertile eggs from a good source is key to your hatch rate.
    Choose a local farm to pick up fertile eggs if possible or you can order fertile eggs online on Ebay. The hatch rate is greater with local eggs vs shipped eggs by mail that take several days to arrive and could be mishandled.
    The fresher the eggs, the better the hatch rate.

    This post may be of help to a lot of people. I wish I could tell you in plain English about my eBooks but (yt) or (the powers that be) would delete this post if I did. So as you read this you Can do a bit of detective work to find them. (March 2023) I got a Little Giant Incubator and thought I’d give it a go. We already have chickens but they are getting old now and so we thought to hatch some new ones. More about the Incubator: I only got the incubator and the egg turner as there was No fan kit available to go with it where I bought it. I also got a cheaper Thermometer than the Little Giant brand and That Was A Mistake! I couldn’t read it well through the windows! I went back and got the Little Giant brand Thermometer, and that one is EASY to see! I don’t have money for one of these fancy remote control Thermometers that you can read outside the unit, but I’ll make do just fine without. After working with the system for a good long time, I finally got it right. I found that at a setting on the Instrument Panel of 105.8, [over time] I got a steady reading from the Thermometer (at egg level) of 99.5, I also have 1 red plug pulled out by the Instrument Panel. As AmeriKa crumbles, and with, “The Deliberate Poisoning of Earth,” it’s more important than ever, right NOW, to get your own food supply. And then when you have your own food supply, You have to Protect it! And just like, “The Problem Eliminators,” You have to find ways to see to your own family’s safety! After all the destruction that is yet to come upon earth because of the Wickedness of some, we will have a New Civilization to build! And we together Can and Will make it even better than “The First Civilization of Earth,” ever was. So just utilize my name and some of these Titles to find me and my writings which can also help you to find some Sanity in our current world that has gone mad. My Fellow Americans, Take Care!

      @@colesbackyardcoop how many eggs can you hatch from your incubator?

    • @colesbackyardcoop
      @colesbackyardcoop  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JohnDoe-zf1ye It holds up to 42 eggs. I usually put 24 to 30 eggs to hatch. It allows for a better hatch rate and I select multiple pure breeds I like. Good luck.

    How much water do you add to the Incubater?

    • @colesbackyardcoop
      @colesbackyardcoop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I fill the water trays full and refill as water evaporates. Humidity is an important factor in having a successful hatch. Thanks for watching and good luck!

    I don't want roosters! What do you do with yours?

    • @colesbackyardcoop
      @colesbackyardcoop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello. I don't either. Typically, I buy my chicks from Murray McMurray Hatchery and the chicks are sexed. If I hatch my own, I put the roos online for sale once I can sex them. Thanks for watching and happy chicken keeping!
