I think Minami feels like an “underdog” or less known because she, outside of making two openings, has never done any guest appearances, music videos with herself on camera, live concerts (with the exception of an online concert a while ago I think), or photoshoots. When I hear Minami I don’t picture a face like with LiSa, but rather I picture her 373 logo, her short haired loose t shirt character, and her voice.
I think you actually put it really well at the end, compared to the others you listed, like Ado, Yoasobi, or LiSA, you could definitely say Minami is more of an "underdog". And I feel the exact same way, the other artists no doubt also impress me a lot, but I just have a soft spot for Minami, she has been my favorite since I discovered her years ago, and there is just something special about her and her voice.
I tend to listen to more of the metal core, but I LOVE anyone who unleashes a huge range in those musical pieces. The high notes are amazing!! I love me a good animated piece to go with songs ^w^
Im pretty late to the party with this one. As of this comment, i have just subscribed to this channel. I've only seen few so far so looking forward to seening your other videos Minami is pretty much the most important artist i ever found when the pandemic hit the world. During the times of not being able to go Outside, it was as if everything Paused. The first year of the pandemic really took a toll on ny mental health as well as most people since it was very depressing timess. When i first found her music, ii was surprised on how she could sing like that. I've been listening to a lot of Japanese music but it was the first time I've evwr heard someone like scream not in a Death metal kond of way but more of a Scream of sadness (there's probably a better term for this idk). It hit even harder when i heard Hollowness aince that last part went all out with it and accompanied with the song lyrics, iit hit so hard.

minami is an artist who deserves more recognition. I've been a favorite artist long before Ado, YOASOBI, Aimer, etc.
