Hello from Japan! (Sorry if my English is weird) Thank you for your reaction to Minami's song "Kawaki wo ameku". I love this song too, so I'm very happy! The word "ameku" in the title of this song is an old Japanese word. The modern word is "wameku", which means shout or cry. Also, "Kawaki" means thirst of the heart. This song was written and composed by herself. So she hits us directly with her emotions and cravings: "I want real love that I can believe in from the bottom of my heart! But I don't want cheap love that's easy to get, or fake love that looks like it.", "Somebody! Love me!" ...This is my interpretation and may be wrong, but I hope it helps you understand this song. thank you! (^_^)/
@@skelassassin Thanks for your comment. As you say, "ame" (アメ | あめ) is a noun that means rain. On the other hand, "ameku" (アメク | あめく) is an archaic word for "wameku" (ワメク | わめく) and is a verb meaning to shout or cry. (It's an old word, so it's rarely used today) You and I are not wrong either. The word "ameku" was probably chosen to give the song's title a double meaning of "cry" and "rain."
Learning this song on guitar was painful. The solo was unironically the easiest part of it, but I got it down perfect. And it's now become one of my favorite songs of all time.
Great video as always! Really glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. Minami is probably my one other favourite Female Japan artist aside from Ado and REOL at this point. Minami is known for her "cries" and emotional voice, if that makes sense. I definitely hope you can explore more and maybe look into her older songs such as hollowness, main actor or eternal blue. Another thing about minami is that She also writes almost all of her own lyrics and music which is also really amazing!
Once again! Great video! I'd also like to see what you think of Hollowness & Main actor as it's two of the earlier songs by Minami 5-6years ago and it's of a different genre. Wonder if you'll like those!
Finally! It's Minami time!!! Listen to her "Waiting for Rain" (kinda "continuation" for this song) and "Hollowness" (her most hyped up song" next? :DDD I love this girl so fricking much
Mostly the songs from this singer is amazing and also the lyric. If you want a great song from this singer i recommended you this : - Hollowness - Eternal Blue - Main Actor - Prologue - Drop - Lilac
I can totally understand your tears while talking about this song, music is is surely the art manifestation that can make me cry just because of how beautiful it can be sometimes too, very rarely it can also happen with a movie or similar, but music can make me cry relatively often without even really know why, and I think sometimes it's just the beauty of it, it can communicate things that words can't even describe
This is the opening to the anime domestic girlfriend. The anime itself was torture, but it introduced me to one of my favorite manga (which has it’s problems too but it’s a lot better than the anime), it introduced me to my waifu, and it introduced me to Minami. This song (and others by this artist) is amazing. The style kind of reminds me of Regina Spektor and I love it
@@qeinz Very different, and it has a lot of character development and progression which follows their adult life. One of my favorite drama manga honestly.
@@hoverk3864Personally for me i did not like it at all. That's not to say it wasn't well written but it just did not gel well with me. Really a love it or hate it manga for me.
Not yet! This is my first Minami reaction. The intro with the guitar is a song by me specifically made for an intro. (Literally, what you hear is the whole song lol) The song that plays while I talk is linked in the description below.
aye fellow domestic girlfriend fan! A lot of people talk down on it for the synopsis of the plot but when I watched it it was surprisingly good and it talked alot about really deep topics
The anime and the original manga are a straight up dumpster fire at times. The animation and art are great but that story was just like nah. You either loved it or you hated it. The opening for the anime is fire though and is still on the playlist to this day.
Minami really needs to get an OP for a show that deserves it, she is so good.
its for domestic gf, btw domestic gf does not deserve this song
@@yuqiangpan5715 I still to this day firmly believe that domestic gf had the potential in it somewhere, it just wasn’t utilized very well imho

I have a Minami reaction for "Hollowness" and "Main Actor" currently available to my members 😉
Minami is maybe my favourite vocalist of all time! You need to listen to hollowness or time gram
i watched the first uncensored episode!! and sh++++t, that was awesome
Few singers are as haunting and stirring as Minami. Each time she tells a story with her vocal expression.
Mostly the songs from this singer is amazing and also the lyric.

Here's another song by MINAMI
This one is up-tempo like a Vocaloid song,
It has another minami's charm.
I love Minami! I prefer her other songs though like: Main Actor, Eternal Blue, Hollowness, Honest Diary, and Suichuu Reflection

i guess we all have different taste, the anime was really nice i watched the uncensored version, that was really awesome
@@GroovyCODM if you were someone who had read the manga you would hate how the anime changed the characters
@@assimilater-quicktips Then i was lucky to have watched the anime before reading the Manga i guess.
@@GroovyCODM did you at least read the first chapters instead of starting where the anime left off?
I recommend Lilac by Minami
There's so many good Minami songs it's hard to suggest another specific one, so just react to them all lol! 😂
Such a great song, it's a shame the show couldn't live up to the manga.
I can just imagine the recording director saying, "Minami, take 32."
the anime doesn't deserve this masterpiece of a song as its opening lol
the anime is eh but the manga is a masterpiece

Have you tried A cruel anegls thesis, lilium or Madoka Magica - Connect? id like to check out other reactions for sure
This was my first Minami reaction, so I haven’t seen anything else yet!
idk if you've already done it, but maybe "waiting for rain"??
also, what is the song in your intro?

ah ok! shame it's just that short snippet though, really does sound nice.
This song was OP of DOME KANO - Domestic Girl friend. I also recommend to watch the anime.
