Really nice video , thanks. Could you please make a video about your youtube setup, lights , camera , lens , settings etc? Your video quality is one of the best I seen.
Excellent info on the benefits of external recording. Definitely getting one of these now. TY. Question. Do you think the fan noise will distract from subjects being interviewed, who are wearing wireless lav mics?
I have an A7s 3 with the Ninja V, and I have tried everything, I use exactly this configuration of yours, and yet the file of the camera cards in S-log 3 come out with more dynamic range, more washed, less contrasted and saturated than the files recorded on the SSD inside the Ninja, could someone help me???!
Hello, I am confused. I just ordered one of these and I don’t know if I picked the right one. Is there different Ninja Vs or just one. I see some say touchscreen on Amazon and others don’t mention touchscreen. Some say Raw and others don’t.
I bought mine and returned it immediately because its soo contrasty and there is no option to tweak the colors, you would need to spend money to buy some sort of an adapter to connect it to your pc to be able to make changes. I kept my Desview monitor which was way cheaper and I can simply make changes. I was extremly disappointed on the Atomos which I think people buy just for the name.
Sorry but cost of drive space doesn't make any sense when using ProRes because the file sizes are 4x bigger. The real benefit would be to use proresRAW but it's not compatible with DaVinci Resolve 🥺
Yes! I’ve recorded well over 30 min using my Canon 90D. The monitor records from the camera sensor while the camera is not recording internally. I believe I explained that correctly. Some cameras can record internally and to the monitor simultaneously. My Canon C100 MKII will do both.
lmao most people have cameras with unlimited recording times now mate, maybe its time you invest in a newer better camera before a new monitor. "ppfft" xD

How to make the framing vertical
Raid Owl is that you??? I wasn't expecting to see your face on this video, haha
Hi,how do you work with the focus of your camera or lens you can touch the atom screen or you need to take the camera screen to focus well
You can't touch focus via the Ninja, for that you still need to use the camera's LCD screen.
Is this video shot in 10bit?
is there a delay on display from on a sony to monitor when recording 4k
Great review! Does this extend recording time limits for cameras that have 30 minute time limits??
Yes, you can record until your memory lasts
@@DDFGhostHuntinguntil your battery drain as well
@KAPhotography ya that's a good point, but if you are filming, you need the big battery's
I need this
HOW TO RICORDING IN H265 ?

What would you recommend for an alternative SSD that's not angelbird? Price tag is out of my range at the moment. Thanks for the informative video!

Great video What SSD brand/model do you use?
will it record to both the monitor and the camera? Or if I just want to use as a monitor will it not record to the monitor?
both
I think your audio track has some unnecessary low frequency sounds, I can hear my sub is outputting some humming/vibrations from your video.
can we also record 4k 120 fps on our camera card with a shinobi 5?
Does the ninja v with npf750 battery last longer if you only used it as a monitor without recording?

Theres a V and V+...so you probably got the right one
Curious, if you would get the Ninja V+ or the Shinobi 7 since they are at the same price.
I've had my eye on the V+ for awhile...just no real need for it yet
Can you record non RAW formats using Ninja V? I'm looking to record the same formats my Lumix S5 does internally but on to the SSD.
Yeah ProRes, dnxhr and h265 are all non-raw formats
$499 with the accessory kit on B&H right now :)
can you record simoultanesly on your camera sd card and the monitor? I'm using a A7sIII
yes

Wow. Interesting take.
@dawb86 I just dont get why its soo popular, I have a cheaper monitor and has way better features than Ninjas

Am I able to use it as JUST a monitor since I don't own an SSD? (I don't care about recording)
YES

sure will

Nothing about the record time improvments for your camera??? Really? ...ppfft...next
I mean...there is no record limit on the fx3 anyway so I've never run into an issue

@kakarotuchiha8662 stop being so rude mate ,not everyone has 3000 $ to spend on a new camera
