I could never bring myself to sell one of these. It is however an investment car, and money talks. Granted he would have made more had he hang onto it a little longer, but he certainly wouldn't have lost anything. What Ferrari did he go for again? FF was it? Also, thanks for making this video pop up again, it never gets old!

This vídeo 5 years ago made me realize that I needed to sell my 997 carrera 2S before depreciation was too bad. I wanted a GT3 so bad, and luckily was able to get my hands on a Cayman GT4 brand new, but still to this day (still own the GT4) I want a 997.2 GT3 or GT3RS they are so special, of course a 4.0 liter RS is simply unreachable.

Watching this video and having seen a few before from Chris Harris, I start more and more to think of him as a poet. A "the pure style of driving in not downsized real cars poet"! Most of us viewers are as much of a car maniac as he is, but the pure NA engine fascination, he really did express it with this video - without banging the car constantly to the rev limiter! Great job, very great job! I like this guy and his videos only because he can be so fascinated by any car that might hit the right button in him!

I guess he had not bought them, because he had a one years test car - now the car is back to Porsche, refurbisht and sold as used car or part of their race driver program. You can rent a 911 GT3 as pure race car. But you have to realy drive races with them. Porsche offers you the car and the maintaince and spare parts. But tthsi service is not cheap - but if you find some advertising partner, it can be payable to drive at the Porsche cup, etc.

Chris Harris manages to make me watch every video more then once and make every car sound awesome despite it's flaws where as Matt Farah manages to draw me in and then piss me off. Chris captures the magic that is in cars and that makes him great.

There's not so much talking in this, but when there is, it's meaningful. That's why I enjoy this series. I love Top Gear, but when I need to relax, I watch this. This truly captures the quiet intensity within the cars.

Chris - kudos for putting it in a showroom. One of the only ways people like me can appreciate this machine. I saw one in a showroom in London Ontario (Canada) and it was one of 2 in the entire country. I'm talking a city with a population of about 400,000... it was a big deal. It deeply impacted me being able to see this thing in the flesh. Europeans are a lucky bunch when it comes to the cars that roam their streets.

Beautiful!! Hint to camera and tech crew:" Internet is 60Hz "(pc monitor default setting), so try to shoot at 60Hz (or 30Hz) so that there won't be judder when watching. I understand if you have to shoot at 23.97Hz, but youtube does not tell what refresh rate should be used for specific video.

I love the raw power yet elegant subtlety of these large 6 cyl NA engines. I don't make anywhere near the cash needed for a car like this but I picked up a much cheaper car with a 3.8L V6 producing 350 hp and fell in love with it. Hope I can get a chance to drive a porche like this someday.
