    That S6 has the RS4 engine by the looks of it. I would have thought it was quicker! Love that RS6....

    Great comparison! Thx Paul. Both look great in the red colour. The S6 is more of a 'sleeper', with the difference in the real world between them is negligible (unless you're at the drag strip every weekend). One question, how is the ride comfort difference between the two? I looked at an RS4, but way too hard on Sydney roads (even in "Comfort" mode). I have a C7 S6 with the 4.0L TTV8. Toying whether it's worth the "upgrade" from my S6 to a current gen S6/S7. RS6 way out of my price range.

      How did you go? Still have the V8 S6 or did you upgrade to the new S6? I just bought the new S6 upgrading from the A6 Biturbo TDI, which I still love. great Torque and great economy.

      @michael9678727 I ended up with one of my dream cars; a 2015 Audi S8. Same 4.0T engine as in the RS6, just detuned (because nothing's allowed to beat an RS6!). Beautiful car. A big beast though. The S6 is little more fun to drive in the bends & in the city, but in a straight line on a motorway or in the country, the S8 is phenomenal!!

    The S6 looks docile in comparison. S6 is a soft looking executive sedan. The RS6 is an animal (PERIOD).
    Those drag races really show you how much turbo lag all these new cars have.

  • @ytfytf1265

    Your test should start from the moment you floor the pedal, not the start of car movement. timing gear doesnt take into account engine startup time for stop start system. its clock starts when the car moves.

    • @CarExpertAus
      @CarExpertAus  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not quite - when you lift off the brake pedal the car begins to move and that activates the VBox.

    • @ytfytf1265
      @ytfytf1265 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarExpertAus So the 48Volt system can start the engine and move the car at the same time?
      In my Audi S3, when it's engine is off with start stop system,
      1. Brake to a stop
      2. Engine shuts off
      3. Light goes green
      4. Lift off brake
      5. Engine starts as soon as brake is lifted
      6. Mash the accelerator
      7. Car moves after it has started.
      There is a delay between lifting off the brake and car moving forward, for the S3.
