Great information, thanks! Don't know that I have the patience to shiny hunt with this method, but with the Teal Mask DLC for Scarlet/Violet adding a new Applin evolution, I want a Dipplin with the curry mark. Maybe I'll get lucky, and a shiny will show up on the first try, lol. 😅
@AllegedlyHuman Yeah, I really enjoy getting the old ribbons/marks and titles on the new evolutions. I did a soft reset hunt in USUM for a shiny Rowlet/Dartrix, carried it through the 50th fight in the Battle Tree to get The Tree Master title for it, then moved it to Legends Arceus to evolve it into Hisuian Decidueye. Managed to get the Mini mark on it before they patched that bug out of LA. But doing a curry hunt for a specific shiny... I don't think I have that in me. I'll die inside the first phase. I like the title, though, and if they add more variants that can have the mark, I'll do it again. Maybe I'll get lucky eventually, lol.

I'm not sure if you'll see this but I can't find any answers for a question ;; when exactly do you soft reset during the hunting itself? when you see a non-shiny encounter or none encounter after making the curry? does autosave have to be off?
You'll reset once you run out of all of your collected ingredients. Let's create a little example here to help you understand a bit better! Before you even open camp, save your game before your hunting session. Now you can go ahead and make your curries. Let's say you have 30 Micle berries and 30 Gigantamix. You use 1 Micle berry and 1 Gigantamix per curry. This should technically allow you to make 30 curries. You will encounter Pokemon along the way, and if its not shiny just go and make your next pot of curry to try and get another spawn. Once you've gone through the potential 30 curries you can make, you'll want to just close your game. Its important to note to NOT save your game at ALL once you start using your ingredients. Once you've burned through your ingredients, close your game, open it again and your 30 Micle berries and Gigantamix should be there in your inventory again and you're ready to make 30 more curries. And yes, make sure your autosave is OFF! If you have anymore questions, consider joining our discord server in the description!
