What I liked about sword ad shield is that even when the pokemon are in the overworld, some of them are so small that they are hidden by the tall grass. It gave me that feel of how I imagined it to be when I first played pokemon, some how I did not get that from scarlet and violet
Leon is the pokemon equivalent of that one kid you went to primary with who was good at football and that was their only personality trait until they left school and had an identity crisis

During my first play through of Sword I was on my way to Stow-on-Side and I had already caught a Yamask and I was already planning to use it on my team. A little later I bumped into another Yamask that made me do a double take: its. Eyes. Were. GREEN!!! At the time I wasn’t completely familiar with the Galar Pokemon and I wasn’t certain if I had seen a sparkle, so I looked it up, and sure enough it normally has purple eyes. I had found a full odds shiny of a Pokemon I had already been planning to use on my team!!! It instantly got swapped in for my the non-shiny!
