Have you tried using the regen while using the throttle? Might be something to ask the manufacturer about first, but I'd think the idea would be to modulate the strength of the regen braking by applying power (something I noticed from driving my car downhill :P).
I was wondering what state you live in and how the weather affects battery life/use. I am very interested in getting one. But o live in Nevada. It gets up to 121 in the summer and as low as -30 in the winter.
What is your range if left in eco mode? Have you or could you do a range test? Also what if I wanted to mount a 65L storage top box on back could I do that? Lastly thank you 🙏 for the information about the bike been looking at it.
Range isn’t as good as I was hoping, though deep down I knew what to expect. Realistically, 45-55mi riding normally, not spirited- normally (35-55mph). For the price I paid, and my needs/wants - I love the thing. I just really was hoping for closer to 70-80mi. But it’s not a dealbreaker.
Hi Randy, I got my Anthem a week ago and have been having a blast. My only observation is that I wish the battery have more range because it definitively not 75 miles ! I was very lucky that they gave me the new controller for free when I purchased it and I know the difference is noticeable because I test ride one before ordering mine that didn't have the controller and this one is much snappier. But besides the battery range which still is not a deal breaker for me this is the best electric bang for the buck motorcycle on the market as today. Question so if you use it and only ice 20% of the battery you shouldn't charge it to full 100% when you get back right? Only charge the battery if is less that 60% right?
I'm almost positive that they do. That's how all EV's I'ver ever owned have operated, and I've had no reason to think differently here. I've also never seemed to surprise anyone behind me when using regen to slow down.
@@scorpion251970 I’ve charged to 100% twice now for the same reason. And yeah Regan being limited or disabled at a high SOC is normal. Can’t put energy back into a full battery.
@@RandySpeer same with my model 3. The no regen. When my anthem arrived it was really cold. It was sluggish like not working. Then I aimed it towards my garage, it suddenly kicked in and the acceleration was more than I expected. Unlike newbies, I just let go of the accelerator 😉. No crashing 😆. Been riding since 1996. But so far this is the easiest bike I’ve ridden. My back doesn’t hurt after riding. (I’m old now). Anyway the craziest thing? No sound of a motor. And best thing of all? No clutch 😆.
yeha but i think he mentioned there is auto regen on the lower modes. so, assuming you are gonna decent a steep hill, wouldn't you set it to like eco or something?
What bike you have ridden does this compare to closest in terms of accelerating and ,seperatly, handling? The style of this bike really speaks to me. And i think this application is the only place an electric vehicle makes sense. Just something to casually tool around the streets on. Wheelies?
Main reason why I got the land Moto with the biggest battery. Definitely more expensive but range can be a dealbreaker for me. The faster acceleration was another reason for me. Great bike thought hopefully they come out with a bigger battery with more range
@@RandomMotoThings Yea, I was going to pull the trigger on the land, but then I realized, for that price point, I could honestly just buy a real bike. Which I'm planning on doing. I already have a Talaria, which I might sell to buy a Ventus later. So, there's no point in stressing over the land for me.
Max speed is listed at around 75mph, but I've hit 91mph and my hat blew off so I had to stop and turn around, not sure what it would've peaked at. And you can def ride at highway speeds without overheating, you'll just CRUSH your range. If you rode at 70mph non stop, I'd imagine you're looking at 30miles tops.

th-cam.com/users/liaisonvisual Randy - I just ordered the Ryvid Outset after researching electric motorcycles and dirtbikes for a while. Settled on the Ryvid b/c of build quality, performance & range, warranty, service if needed, and relatively low cost, and I should be taking delivery in Sept or Oct, 2024, just after I complete the FL Motorcycle Driver License - Basic Rider Training Course...yes, I will be a new motorcycle rider, and the Ryvid Outset will be my first motorcycle A couple questions for you: 1) Seat height & flat footing at a standstill...I know you're tall at 6'3" and you say you're using the Anthem's raised seat in approx the middle position around 32'33" or so but the Ouset has a static seat at 33". I am on the shorter side at 5'8" with an approx 28"-29" inseam. I received pics from a nice Ryvid rep showing me his colleague (who they claim is also 5'8") sitting on the Outset just about flat footing on both sides, but I've been reading conflicting expectations about this. Your thoughts for a guy my size? 2) Do you know if Ryvid has fixed the brake regen button thing to allow for constant on brake regen in Sport mode as the have it in Eco mode? Not sure if they changed this feature on the Outset as I agree with you that it should work just as it does on my Tesla MS Plaid and my wife's Rivian R1S. Perhaps the button should simply be a brake regen on/off switch instead of what you describe as very awkward to use in Sport mode. Thank you!
🔥🔥 waiting for mines to arrive here in Fla. in the next week or so!
How is it?
So... did you get it?
@AdamasOldblade Yess!! About 7months now, I've been enjoying it. 🔥
I also became affiliated, I share some content about my experience on my channel.

Hey my friend , do you need motorcycle license or is fine to drive it wirh my regular car license?
Thank you
You need a motorcycle license. Take the motorcycle safety course. It's worth it
Thanks for the vids! Where is the launch edition badge? I've heard it's a little hidden. My bike should be here in a few weeks🎉
It is! I couldn’t find it at first. It’s on the left hand side on the side of the front forks.

How much was delivery?
Great review. Any updates on mods you made to the bike?
Hey did you finance it ?
In a round about way yeah. I didn’t go through Ryvids financing. I took a personal loan from my bank and used it to pay in full.
Do the brake lights come on with the regen braking to alert motorists behind you?
I'm almost positive that they do. That's how all EV's I'ver ever owned have operated, and I've had no reason to think differently here. I've also never seemed to surprise anyone behind me when using regen to slow down.
anyone found a suitable windshield for the anthem
How long did order->delivery take? ordered mine about 2 weeks ago. What riding gear do you have?
110 charge cord is a little short. But charging is relatively fast. I also noticed regen braking is minimal or absent when battery is near 100%.
Btw, I accidentally charged to 98%, because it charged so fast. I also wish the regen was automatic on sport.

How much does it cost to insure, ball park number plz?
I didn’t insure it. Not required in FL. It’s so cheap it doesn’t make sense to insure it.
