Removable battery is a big plus. If you live in apartments, you may not have power available in the parking garage. Being able to take the battery into your apartment to charge every night would make this feasible for anyone (assuming an available elevator).

Really appreciate the depth of your review. That hardest issues I have with grabbing an electric motorcycle is the range for freeway/highway speeds. Also I’m pretty sure recharging takes a decent amount of time. My desire is to travel to the coast on my bike which is about 100 miles away. I’ve always loved the idea of electric but I can’t justify the high cost with how much I personally would get out of the bike.
This electric motorcycle is not ideally suited for 200 mile round-trip travel at highways speeds. It is a city commuter. Congratulations on getting your motorcycle certification. Be really careful using a kickstand on the grass. That can end in drama. You can carry a "puck" with you which is a little coaster capable of spreading out the load better so your kickstand doesn't sink. Apologies if you already knew that.

@@MissGoElectricRideReviews I can get about 35-40 miles in sport mode and somewhere around 60 miles in Eco mode. My average speed is usually around 40mph and I tend to have a heavy throttle hand, especially after having the controller upgrade done.
The microphone we use is the DJI Mic. amzn.to/3TeIEB8 It was very windy so we had to hide the microphone inside the jacket during the standup sections. That placement does an injustice to the tone these microphones are capable of capturing, but it made all of the audio usable. There is some post-processing on the audio to remove wind noise during the on-road portion. The microphone was placed inside the helmet with a dead-cat filter while riding. We use the FOD FX8Pro amzn.to/3XcZ65T We use it rider-rider communication and bluetooth audio. We are happy with them. We haven't tried anything else so we aren't sure how much better others might be. I can say we have had no trouble with battery life and range is 1/2 mile or so as long as the antenna is extended on each unit. -Producer Tim
The BMW CE-04 and Zero DSR/X are next up in the production queue. Perhaps the Outset could fit after those are filmed/published. We hope you will subscribe to this channel to be notified if we do! Thank you very much for tuning in. -Producer Tim
@@MissGoElectricRideReviews The Outset is going to be extremely similar to the Anthem. If you do a video I suggest a comparison vid of less than 12 minutes to highlight the differences between the two models, so prospective Ryvid buyers end up with the model that they'd be happiest with.
This performance/range seems similar but better thanthe Kawasaki E-1, which is now in some dealerships. Kawasaki is pricey for a small range e-motorcycle. Both have too small of a battery to be very practical unless you stay local. That's been the challenge with e-motorcycles. We're not aero on the back of a bike, so our motorcycle efficiency isn't as awesome as we'd hope. It's better at lower speeds, just like with cars. Depending on who you ask, we all average 22 - 40 miles of driving/riding a day. That's a really low number which means we could all be mimicking the many Asian populations who generally have always relied the economy of 2 wheeled transport. I'd love to see Ryvid perform a Life Cycle Assessment to show that this represents a truly mor sustainable choice than even an EV car and allow people to understand that minimalism is necessary to match our necessary goals of zero emissions, including power and vehicle production.
When dealerships (middlemen) are involved, purchase prices go up up up. In this review, Miss Go Electric reiterated that the official range projections are based on a 0.7 drag coefficient. Our pickup trucks are two times more aerodynamic with rating of 0.3. The most efficient automobiles on the road are at 0.2. Drag increases as about twice the rate of velocity. Energy efficiency is diminished disproportionally as speed increases. City riders can cruise for several hours on a single charge. For many, the inability to safely carry cargo like groceries, hardware, passengers, can be a deterrent from riding a motorcycle exclusively. Of course, weather is also an important factor which limits the practicality of motorcycles as a daily replacement, too. Safety is also a factor. Thanks for sharing your views, Karl. -Producer Tim
Force of drag is proportional to velocity squared not 2v. But power required to overcome that drag uses the formula P=Fd X v. So the power required to overcome drag is proportional to velocity cubed.
I’m also transitioning from an e-bike, I don’t have any prior experience riding a motorcycle. I’m on the fence between the Ryvid Anthem and Land Energy District Street.
There are many great options. The value of the Anthem is superior to the LAND and the rolling battery is a better option for those without easy access to charging. The rolling battery is also great for keeping the battery safely indoors away from extreme temperatures and theft risk. We are very happy you've found this video and we hope you'll use our discount link ryvid.missgoelecreic.com as well as the coupon code MISSGOELECTRIC for a free accessory at checkout. -Producer Tim
Your personal preferences and anatomical proportions will dictate your comfort. Based on the information you have provided, you are larger than a typical rider and the Anthem is a smaller bike. That said, the seat height adjustability allows Anthem to accommodate an above average range of rider sizes. Check out ryvid.missgoelectric.com for sizing details. -Producer Tim
It sounds like a pretty nice gateway motorcycle if you're coming from an ebike. In terms of capability, it seems like the electrical equivalent of a Honda Grom but with half the range.
The Ryvid Anthem is larger and much more powerful than a Grom. Here are some figures: Grom: 9.7HP and 7.7lb-ft Anthem: 20hp (27hp with free controller upgrade right now) Grom: 7.7lb-ft engine torque Anthem: 53lb-ft motor torque at wheel 250lb-ft torque (334lb-ft with free controller upgrade right now) Grom: 55-60mph top speed Anthem: 84mph top speed Grom: 12" Wheel Diameter Anthem: 17" Wheel Diameter Grom: 30" Seat Height Anthem: 31"-34" Electronic Adjustable Seat Height Anthem has many extras over the Grom including cruise control, instant access to peak power, single speed transmission (no shifting), no powertrain maintenance, and the ability to fuel up at home for a fraction of the cost. @@MissGoElectricRideReviews Yeah, the Anthem is much quicker off the line, and can maintain a higher top speed. I think a more accurate comparison is a Honda Rebel 300/500.
Im so close to buying 1 of these... Sonders has put the fear in me of a small company like this being around in 5 years. I like the look of the outset even better then this. But both look nice. I just might bike the bullet and get a livewire Mulholland. But I hate to spend 19k after fees and taxes. So I just don't know.
Thank you for joining us! Will you consider sharing this link online to help others find out about Ryvid and Miss GoElectric? Remember, the battery has an integrated 110+220V charging hardware and a low-volume high-quality casing with several mechanisms to secure it to the bike. The housing is a large part of the cost...not only the cells. -Producer Tim
Some electric motorcycles just aren't there yet especially with the higher cost. Why pay that much when you can get ebikes with almost 100 miles of range, about 40mph, dual motors, no license, insurance and registration and cost under $3,000.00? I mean how often are you really going to drive it at top speed especially when it'll probably be used for urban commuting and not freeway/highway use? Just a thought or 2.
We have reviewed about 100 eBikes. We like them too. We have found that the motorcycle is another animal all together. There are pros and cons to every mode of transportation. Thanks for sharing your views. -Producer Tim
An e-moto like this will go 75 miles at 45-50MPH keeping up with cars with ease. A typical higher-end e-bike will top out around 40MPH and go only 20-25 miles, and depending on where you live, 40MPH ain't gonna cut it, more people drive over the speed limit than under. The only e-bikes that ever came close were ones with direct drive hub motors like the ONYX RCR and CTY2 and it's only now, years later that we have bikes to replace them; Spark Cycleworks Javelin & Brute, and Lyric Graffiti X just to name a few, but still with nowhere near the range of a true e-moto. There's a bunch of other e-motos that can go beyond 100 miles, but aren't nearly as affordable as the Anthem or Outset. The only other one that comes close is the Land Moto District but that's near $10k with the largest battery.
@@ChitFromChinola I didn't say they weren't. I was simply pointing out the fact that there's ebikes on the market now with 60+Ah battery packs that cost a 3rd of this motorcycle and get almost twice the range. What's wrong with pedals and cranks? If the battery dies on an E-moto you can't pedal it home.
@@DesuVR Check out Aniioki and Eahora ebikes. Their long range bikes have more range and cost less than half of this motorcycle's price. I don't just randomly post comments without the knowledge to back it up, unlike some people apparently.

$3.29 a gallon x 800 gallons (75 mpg) = $2,632 1,200 cycles (@.56 cents a charge) = $672 + $3,995 for a new battery + 1,200 hours of waiting around (w/ 1 hour fast charger) = $4,667 Yeah the technology isn't there yet, the batteries need to be able to have the cells replaced for a cheaper price (like $1k) or used better chemistry to last longer
You have shared data which is predicated on a number of misconceptions. More than 95% of our charging happens at home, not out in public. If we do charge in public, it happens seamlessly while we are doing something at the destination. We are *very rarely* "waiting around" for any period of time. After 1200 charges the battery is neither dead nor worthless. The battery is projected by Ryvid to have 80% of its range remaining at 1200 cycles. Remember, battery prices drop every year. They've done so for decades averaging about 10%. If a person wants to buy a 4.3 kWh battery in eight years, the cost will be a fraction of today's MSRP. Don't forget, any internal combustion motorcycle powertrain motorcycle will have cost the owner significant maintenance and repair bills after 8 years and 60,000 miles of riding. Buyers will need to account for that expense and time lost. The EV powertrain will require little to no powertrain maintenance cost. Also remember that a degraded battery contains 100% of the valuable materials it did when it was new. The secondary market and recycling facilities pay for nickel, lithium, manganese, and cobalt. It is cheaper for manufacturers to source from a decommissioned battery than to mine, refine, and ship raw material. One more thing, in a recent interview with the Ryvid CEO on our @MissGoElectricIndustry channel, we learned that the charging hardware within the battery unit is responsible for about $1,000 of its cost. That hardware does not meaningfully degrade. -Producer Tim
This is a commuter bike. Most city riders would not exceed 50-70 miles on a commute. Those who do might consider an extra battery or a longer range electric motorcycle. Our review of the 200 mile Zero DSR/X is coming soon...but for the price of that bike a person can buy almost four Ryvid Anthems. -Producer Tim
I'd be able to drive from one end of Phoenix to the other any way you slice it with range to spare on this battery if I keep my temptations in check and follow speed limits. Area 13 has done a range test with the Outset: 40 miles minimum with spirited driving or up to 70 miles driving conservatively in eco mode.
Incorrect. The battery is removable. If the bike is stored in a place with extremely hot or cold conditions, simply remove the battery and store that in a place with reasonable temperatures. -Producer Tim
Not intending to use a clutch is no reason for jumping the ship on all of us that have trained on motorbikes with clutch an Manuel gears an passed our test why should we do all that for someone to come along an jump the que on all of us that have done things properly your slapping us round the face an saying I got my license by being allowed to cheat!!!
Cheat? If you don't know how to ride and care for a horse, are you cheating by riding a motorized vehicle? 100 years ago, some would have said yes. Many decades ago the department of motor vehicles removed a mandate requiring that students learn to drive a car using a manual transmission. Passenger vehicle drivers no longer demonstrate proficiency operating a clutch pedal at any point during driver education. Is everybody who drives an automatic vehicle cheating? Almost every vehicle sold today features onboard navigation. Are drivers without paper maps in the glovebox cheating? Naw. Technology advances. You seem to have claimed that it is "proper" for humans to utilize inferior or antiquated methodologies. That kind of thinking is counter to civilization. Anyhow, you may have misunderstood the entire story. Miss GoElectric was forced to study and certify on an old fashioned internal combustion motorcycle. She completed the certification and possesses a motorcycle license in the state of Michigan. She earned the endorsement adhering to exactly the same terms as every other rider who has every certified. The point is that electric motorcycles exhibit a different set of properties and it would greatly benefit everyone if new riders were able to receive state-mandated instruction upon motorcycles which fundamentally operate similarly to what they will spend their lives riding. -Producer Tim
Clutch use isn't part of the test, dude. My spouse has taken the test multiple times (and always passed it) over the years and never is she tested on clutch use.
Classes and testing where I am can be done with auto trans ICE motorcycles so I don't see any reason to exclude electric powered motorcycles, which are just auto/non-shifting with a different power plant type. Most of one's training/practice primarily occurs outside of the class/test environment so what's the fundamental difference?...testing is mostly about awareness and control of a different type of vehicle. The Africa Twin is ICE auto which I can test on. But if I never ride any other mc, I still wouldn't know manual shifting. Is that "cheating?"

Nice video keep up the good work
Thank you! We appreciate you tuning in and hope you subscribe for more electric motorcycle reviews coming soon 🙂
Love my anthem! Just can't seem to get the advertised range with my extremely heavy throttle hand 😂
Has your real world range been in line with what we experienced and relayed in this video during the ride and conclusion? -Producer Tim
@@MissGoElectricRideReviews I can get about 35-40 miles in sport mode and somewhere around 60 miles in Eco mode. My average speed is usually around 40mph and I tend to have a heavy throttle hand, especially after having the controller upgrade done.
What are you using for audio for this video? Also what do you recommend for bluetooth/intercom for your helmet, based off of your experience?
The microphone we use is the DJI Mic. amzn.to/3TeIEB8
It was very windy so we had to hide the microphone inside the jacket during the standup sections. That placement does an injustice to the tone these microphones are capable of capturing, but it made all of the audio usable. There is some post-processing on the audio to remove wind noise during the on-road portion. The microphone was placed inside the helmet with a dead-cat filter while riding.
We use the FOD FX8Pro amzn.to/3XcZ65T
We use it rider-rider communication and bluetooth audio. We are happy with them. We haven't tried anything else so we aren't sure how much better others might be. I can say we have had no trouble with battery life and range is 1/2 mile or so as long as the antenna is extended on each unit.

Nice review! Are there any plans for an Outset video?
The BMW CE-04 and Zero DSR/X are next up in the production queue. Perhaps the Outset could fit after those are filmed/published. We hope you will subscribe to this channel to be notified if we do! Thank you very much for tuning in.

But power required to overcome that drag uses the formula
P=Fd X v. So the power required to overcome drag is proportional to velocity cubed.
Fantastic review of the Anthem. If you mentioned it, I missed it. Do you mind sharing your height for perspective of the Anthems scale?
All dimensions are shown on screen at 02:25. Miss GoElectric is 5'11". Thanks for watching! -Producer Tim

@@MissGoElectricRideReviews thank you for the thoughtful response!
How tall are you? I'm 6'2 and 300 lbs. Will this be suitable for me?
Your personal preferences and anatomical proportions will dictate your comfort. Based on the information you have provided, you are larger than a typical rider and the Anthem is a smaller bike. That said, the seat height adjustability allows Anthem to accommodate an above average range of rider sizes.
Check out ryvid.missgoelectric.com for sizing details.

It sounds like a pretty nice gateway motorcycle if you're coming from an ebike. In terms of capability, it seems like the electrical equivalent of a Honda Grom but with half the range.
The Ryvid Anthem is larger and much more powerful than a Grom. Here are some figures:
Grom: 9.7HP and 7.7lb-ft
Anthem: 20hp (27hp with free controller upgrade right now)
Grom: 7.7lb-ft engine torque
Anthem: 53lb-ft motor torque
at wheel 250lb-ft torque (334lb-ft with free controller upgrade right now)
Grom: 55-60mph top speed
Anthem: 84mph top speed
Grom: 12" Wheel Diameter
Anthem: 17" Wheel Diameter
Grom: 30" Seat Height
Anthem: 31"-34" Electronic Adjustable Seat Height
Anthem has many extras over the Grom including cruise control, instant access to peak power, single speed transmission (no shifting), no powertrain maintenance, and the ability to fuel up at home for a fraction of the cost. You can learn more at ryvid.missgoelectric.com

@@MissGoElectricRideReviews Yeah, the Anthem is much quicker off the line, and can maintain a higher top speed. I think a more accurate comparison is a Honda Rebel 300/500.
Right on Spartan. Thank you for chiming in. -Producer Tim
You think the Mulholland is 3X more valuable than the Anthem? -Producer Tim
Hi! I tried to use your link and it doesnt seem to work :/

VERYYY GOOD
thanks for watching. -Producer Tim
good review.. nice bike... but that battery price... 3500$ for a 4kw battery????? that is insane
@@MissGoElectricRideReviews
agreed, there is a charger. but put the price of the battery in perspective to the price of a full bike.
Yeah that extra battery price is asinine to me ..... And people must be buying the new controller because I see it just went from $800 to $1,000.
So when the bike is being delivered do u have to sign and paper work or anything ?
The shipping company will have some paperwork. Your state will require registration paperwork and payment.
Because electric motorcycles are badass. Electric bikes have, um, pedals (cringe).
I don't just randomly post comments without the knowledge to back it up, unlike some people apparently.
hmmmm interesting. i love my tesla i might like this bike 😊

go more .....ahead ...
progress.
When is that phone (without any case) going to jump out of that holder?
It is a very good holder. The phone has stayed put. It does not fit in the holder when in its case. -Producer Tim
$3.29 a gallon x 800 gallons (75 mpg) = $2,632
1,200 cycles (@.56 cents a charge) = $672 + $3,995 for a new battery + 1,200 hours of waiting around (w/ 1 hour fast charger) = $4,667
Yeah the technology isn't there yet, the batteries need to be able to have the cells replaced for a cheaper price (like $1k) or used better chemistry to last longer

Range anxiety
You need a heated garage to store this bike....
Incorrect.
The battery is removable. If the bike is stored in a place with extremely hot or cold conditions, simply remove the battery and store that in a place with reasonable temperatures.
-Producer Tim
You look at least 5'10. And you look very cramped on that bike
Miss GoElectric is about 6ft tall. She found the Anthem to be very comfortable. Her daily rider is a Zero DSRX.

@@MissGoElectricRideReviews Thank you Hubby
Great review
