    I have been searching for a video like this on the Outset. THANK YOU! I’ve been comparing E-motorcycles for the last 5 months because I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on one and since the Outset came up on my radar, it’s jumped to the top of my list and this video helps with my decision. So thanks again for your vids!

    I don't remember if you mentioned the seat before, but I'm curious about the comfort. Kyle, you seem to be the only reviewer I've seen who knows how to do a proper review. Many reviewers hop on a bike and start talking, but have no specs or knowledge in their head of the bike they're reviewing. Nor do they do range tests properly. Thanks for doing it all the right way.

    I would devise a lock for the battery. Having to disconnect any battery every day roll or carry it somewhere to charge it. Then roll it back and reinstall it. Is a drag and problematic. Such as simple wear and tear on high current connectors. It's best to find a safe place to park and plug.
    Overall, it looks very nice and well designed.

The low maintenance low noise equaling being able to go on and off road with the outset without upsetting people and getting unwanted visits from law enforcement because of noise complaints is the way to go. Not only that but basic city urban commuting, this will work perfectly.

    🎉 Again, Kyle this looks sweet and I would think they will sell quite well. And if some of the newer battery formulations trickle down this all gets better and better. So, the pregnant question is how much for a spare battery to have for a quick swap out while the other charges? And at its present state I could commute to SF to a job I might take no problem. It's a 40 plus round trip, but I'd have charging available at the shop so no Pro Blema. You could also get a small handle bar bag for charger cord.

    • @Area13ebikes
      @Area13ebikes  14 วันที่ผ่านมา

  • @cocoabiscuits
    @cocoabiscuits 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

    They're almost there. Still some real concerns with speed, commuting and battery. I.e. having 64% battery one day not charging for the next you may have to find an alternative route you won't be able to travel downtown high speeds that the bike will struggle to keep because the battery percentage. That plus the typical range anxiety. I wouldn't want to top off charge to 100% each day. I do like removable battery to store in the winter seasons though. Can't leave something like that exposed to Midwest heat and cold temperatures in my garage.

      The Outset comes with the upgraded ASI controller ($800 value) if you order by July 31st. Technically you could add the seat mechanism at a later date, but I'm not sure what that would cost. Ask about the upgraded controller when you do your test ride, hopefully they have both models available to try out.

    • @DigitalPlaygroundTV
      @DigitalPlaygroundTV 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Tweak42 yes that’s my main issue that the Anthem doesn’t come with that controller and when I add the $1,300 extra that would cost the bike end up costing $7,800 basically for the same bike. The thing in my case is that by the time I get the Outset who knows how much time I have of summer time here in Chicago to ride it because when the temperature goes down it will be stored until next year 🥴.

    So, around 1500watts is sweet spot for motor and range.

      @lamo6271 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@RandomMotoThings what are you getting for range with the biggest battery? I think your 10k was probably after the price reduction since it was originally 12k. For 4k extra compared to the Outset, definitely would hope that the performance/range is at least $4k better. Seems like it has less power, lower top speed, single rider, slower charger, etc. etc.. just more dollars.

    • @RandomMotoThings
      @RandomMotoThings 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@lamo6271 you get more range with land Moto big battery than you do with Ryvid. It’s also accelerates faster (although I never rode the outset version with the asi controller).
      Ryvid claims about 5mph higher top speed but what I’ve noticed is that I can get up to 75 on my land Moto and its sustained no matter where I’m at in battery percentage whereas as on the Ryvid bikes, your top speed goes down once your bike is under 50% and even more after 20% which is not ideal considering the battery drains much faster than the land Moto.
      I get atleast 25-30 more miles driving the same as what I’m seeing in this video. I average anywhere between 60-70 miles while staying in mode 3 at all times varying between 35 mph to 60-65 around my city.

    • @RandomMotoThings
      @RandomMotoThings 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@lamo6271also keep in mind that it’s 10k after all my fees including delivery, registration which they do for you online if you choose, etc. The higher range is a must so for me the range and the way it feels is worth the extra money in comparison. I can assure you the cost would be huge if you wanted to get a bigger battery for the Ryvid in the future. As it stands, the cost makes sense with the bigger battery capacity and it’s pushing a smaller bike weight wise so keep that in mind.
