Thanks for showing the reset procedure! The throttle position and throttle body are such a pain in the ass!

Would you know how to put wipers into a service position?
There's a video on CarCareKiosk "Front Windshield Wiper Blade Change: 2008 Jaguar XJ8 L 4.2L V8", where they technician simply puts the key into pos.2 and pulls on the wiper stalk... Does not work on my car.

I am not familiar with that on this platform. Although mine seem to park them selves in the wrong place frequently 🤣

Very good looking car buddy I could have bought a 04 jaguar vanden plas for eight hundred dollars it starts and runs smooth but it won't take the gas to move probably in limp mode or something? I'm thinking of buying it if I can get it fixed myself I love working on cars anyway.

Sometimes it’s as simple as a clogged fuel filter!

I’ve been trying to diagnose a misfire on cylinder 4 and a p0316 (random misfire on startup). All new coils and plugs but still getting those two codes back. Also have a rattle noise but not sure if it’s coming from the fuel injector or maybe the timing chain possibly? Have you ran into something similar?

Are you using OEM plugs and coils? I put non OEM plugs in before and it caused misfires.
Also change your fuel filter for good measure!

@ this is one of my friends dads car that I’m fixing for him. The shop he took it to when he bought it put on aftermarket coils and plugs unfortunately. I’m really hoping they’re not the issue. Hard to find a junk yard that has one of these. He came to me after he spent $2000 on a new radiator, battery, and the coils/plugs at a jiffy lube of all places (they didn’t properly diagnose the misfire and just threw 8 coils and plugs at it).
Also, it’s 2008 jag VDP 4.2L. Same as yours I believe. First thing I replaced on it was the fuel filter and the PCV valve both oem parts. The PCV valve was leaking and caused a p0174 lean code. After that was fixed, I put some fuel injection cleaner in the gas tank. At first it was driving great after the fuel filter but the next day he drove it and now I’m hearing that rattle sound with those misfires.
Have you replaced the timing chains/guides/tensioners?

@@LowTechGarage Please consider recording the SDD workflow. Especially if you intend to also tweak stuff in the CCF.
