As a cyclist, I'm cringing, how can anyone want to squeeze between a bus and a lorry and expect any of the drivers to know they are there? So many things wrong with London and this is one!
The ones that annoy me the most are the ones that go through red lights and pedestrian crossings. They frustrate me as a pedestrian and a driver, being knocked over before by inconsiderate cyclists, as well as having to emergency break because they do that and almost getting rear ended. I drive as I have a lot of equipment for work, so people who comment saying why don't you ride, that is the reason. I live in London as well.
I got one , now more than 30 years ago when I was picking my then 3 year old daughter up from nursery , along with other parents with small children we were about to cross at the pelican crossing just along from the nursery . The traffic lights had changed , cars had stopped both directions and we had the green man ; as I was just about to pass the car stopped to my right I spotted this idiot on a bike at full speed coming down the outside ; I grabbed my daughter by the arm ( was holding her hand anyway ) and yanked her back ; at the same time , I instinctively thrust the umbrella I had in my other hand forward . More by luck than anything else , it went through his spokes , sending him over the handlebars and into a heap on the ground - to cheers and applause from the other parents . A couple of the mothers started laying into him as he got up dazed and bleeding , picking up his bike with mangled front wheel . Sadly , by brolly was totally ruined . I dared him to call the police as there were at least 20 witnesses who would all say it was his fault , including a couple of car drivers who had got out , one had some choice language for him . On getting home , I called the police myself and related what had happened ; the officer told me not to worry as , with all the witnesses we had , he would be charged and not me if he dared to say anything , and that they would give him a good talking to about endangering children if he dared show his face . Needless to say , I never heard any more , but for years my daughter ( now a young woman of almost 35 ) spoke about 'that naughty cyclist' .
exactly, I was thinking the same. The bind boggles by what our fellow cyclists do. After all it's a free-for-all whatever. Driving the same, so we get what we deserve.
hand on heart, as a cyclist and sometimes driver in london, i can say 50% of cyclists dont have a clue. the amount that dont even look over their shoulder but just 'signal' and pull out are just itching to be put on the slab...
Good job they aren't in car, vans, buses and HGVs eh! 90% of ALL MOTORISTS don't have a clue frankly, in london I'd say 99.9% are downright fuucking dangerous 100% of the time
@@rogerblackwood8815 How so? It's by luck that so many aren't, the technology of the cars and the reactions of the cyclists are a big factor that cover up how shit motorists are. Over 185,000 injuries on UK roads every year despite airbags, despite better brakes ABS traction control EBD etc etc. motorists run red lights at the rate of 14million a month at a conservative estinate according to direct line. Motorists are a fucking scourge/disease.
Cyclists quite rightly demand car clearances. So why do they think they need inches of space in heavy traffic? Pavements don't have rules, roads do, and all road users should stick to them.
The lack of any sense of self preservation among a lot of these guys actually terrifies me. If this is the behaviour of the most vulnerable people on the road, how the hell can the rest of us expect to survive when we're dealing with people, at least some of whom will have a similar lack of awareness, but who also have metal cages and airbags to keep them safe from the consequences of their own idiocy?
Belial RLJ you maybe right, but breaking the law, cars do it a lot more often by going above the speed limit, phone use, and RLJ as well, which by the way when cars do it is not as safe when a cyclist does it.
Daktary there's the same percentage of law breakers between cyclists and car drivers. Just like there's the same percentage of idiots posting on TH-cam.
I had a cyclist in front at lights that ran a red after filtering and a cop next to me and the bike had no lights and a bag of shopping on each side of the bars. I said to the cop are you going to do anything and they just shrug and say we have other priorities. Fucking useless.
No such thing as cyclist in Denmark. Only people who cycle. Since there is no labelling, there is no 'us vs them' mentality. Very healthy approach to things.
Maybe peoples are all nice over there. Cool for them, cyclists in my country are a bunch of assholes. Not as much as in the video, but the proportion is incredible.
No you don't care - you're fraudulent. Just trying to cozy up to Mikorag so that you 2 can go out for ice cream and talk about your Nikki Manaj scrapbook collections.
As a young cyclist in the 60s, my father insisted my bike always had good lights, brakes, tyres and a rear view mirror. I also had to take the Cycling Proficiency Test, which examined road knowledge, hand signals, etc.
A cyclist in stoke a few years back was dragged by a lorry for almost 60 miles after becoming lodged in the wheels of the trailer unit!!! He was dead! But the point is the driver didn't even know? Heard nothing felt nothing. These large vehicles if they don't see you, they won't feel it as they squish you?
And when it does , as demonstrated in this video , it is ALWAYS because of the idiotic risks these nuisances take . I am sorry this tarnishes the minority of cyclists who are good , diligent and careful , but that is how it is . I gave up road cycling years ago because it is just too dangerous , although I do cycle regularly on cycle tracks built over disused railways , shared spaces and segregated cycle routes where it is safe to do so with my young son .
Great video. When I cycle, it annoys me when other cyclist don't stop when they should. basically it is the human nature of getting to their destination fast. Trouble is that they one day won't make it. Moped and scooter riders next video.
I'm a Cyclist and ride most days for commuting or shopping, and I always obey the laws of the road, but some of these idiots really wind me up. I would call them "bike-riders" not Cyclists, in the same way as not all car-drivers are "Motorists".
Not nearly as bad as you on a bike when a 44 ton truck is tailgating you, trying to bully you off the road, passing within inches, pulling out at a junction or roundabout or right hooks you! it's not remotely comparable. no motorist ever was killed by a cyclist, plenty of cyclists and indeed pedestrians were killed by the dangerous actions of motorists however!
ynotnilknarf39 you went on the road as a cyclist and you have to accept the responsibilities and potential dangers. Roads and traffic laws and were not initially designed with cyclists in mind so you, cyclist, should take extra steps to ensure your own safety. No accident is usually at the entire fault of one party.
I used to get annoyed at cyclists in my town here in The States. I am a full time cyclist as well and two things have made me feel good about the situation and not care about what they do anymore. 1) I take it slower and watch out for those idiots. And 2) I know at some point they will get a ticket or get into a bad accident well before me.
This is amazing to watch. You often see entitled cyclists that insist on blocking a road for motorists since they need five feet of clearance to each side. Here you have a dude that doesn't mind cycling against even oncoming traffic with only an inch to spare.
+Silvio Diego I renamed the channel. I spotted one of my English translation errors :) Now is: Solidarity on two wheels I hope you want become administrator on this channel.. Now, also, if is good for you
Hi! First of all thanks for asking. Now, if your presentation has a link to my video I do not have a problem with it. If you want to show the presentation and play the video offline, I would be OK with you downloading the video to play it 'only once' during your presentation. Whatever you do please do not download and re-upload to another channel, website, social platform, etc.
Silvio, many thanks for your positive reply. I intend to show it once, and have no intention of uploading it elsewhere, or trying to claim it as mine. Your videos are really good quality, and my presentation is on the dangers of large vehicles pose to cyclists, so I really couldn't hope for anything better to show how some riders have little regard for their own safety. Thanks.
The reckless ones are the worst. If there's a car trying to get out of a parking space and they already have the reverse gear in (indicated by the white light at the back) then I fucking WAIT until the driver finished, takes only a few seconds. I DO NOT pass the vehicle with absolutely no saftey space as all, while they are already rolling backwards. I really don't understand those people.
Wow, I would have thought natural selection would have caught up with some of those by now.How exactly do you manage to get your front wheel caught between the crash bar and rear axle if a truck? Scary.
only in the last year or two some segregated bike lanes have been introduced. I share your sense of fear about HGVs and bicycles sharing the same lane.
Usually that's because of poor planning. In many cases, the bike lanes are in "door zones" where a parked car can open their door and knock the bike into traffic. You DIE if some idiot knocks you into traffic. So you have to ride on the road still.
London has very few bikelanes. Some bikelanes are very short (100-150 meters) and disappear again. The result: cyclists do not use them. In the last years some long distance routes have opened and are succesful.
I see car drivers, who should hold a license, breaking the law all the time by going above the speed limit, texting/using phone, and RLJ as well. So let's don't fool ourselves thinking that a drivers license resolves these problems.
Bring back the cycling proficiency test. I did mine in Primary school. I've (touch wood) never had an accident, probably because I obey trafgic lights and don't try to squeeze through where there is room (by all means filter, just make sure there's plenty of space to do so).
Many of them do NOT get caught, this is hogwash, over a million without a licence in the UK, same again for no VED, no insurance or MOT. Of the ones that do have a licence they get off with speeding, red light jumping dangerous and careless driving all the time. Drivers, drive with virtual impunity to the carnage they cause. I'll remind you, in the last 10 years that over 17,000 people were killed by errant motorists a quarter of a million seriously injured. Yup licencing etc really clamped down on all of that shizzle!
As a driver and a cyclist, I find the behaviour of the cyclists in the video disgraceful They give ALL proper cyclists a bad name. No regard for other road users, no regard for the Highway Code, no Duty of Care towards anyone, no road sense. Ooh, they have invisible shields called lawyers! I am beginning to think that all cyclists need a licence (having proven that they can ride safely within the law), a mandatory ID plate or badge, and insurance.
The cyclists that annoy me the most are the ones that wear all the full homocyclist gear, gay helmet, spandex pants and silly shoes, just to go to work, they think they own the road and they're in some kind of race.
Tbh I don’t think pavement riders are that bad. In Sydney where I live the roads are way to dangerous for any casual or inexperienced rider to handle, and the footpaths are wide and not very crowded
It's been illegal in the UK since 1835 and puts pedestrians, more vulnerable road users, at risk. If cyclists expect less vulnerable road users to be considerate of them, they need to have the same consideration for more vulnerable road users.
Silvio, I'm so glad to find a cyclist poster that not only shows bad driving, but bad cycling too. Well balanced uploads - unlike most of the helmet cam warriors on here for who cyclists can do no wrong. Well done & subscibed
Oh yeah they stink all right.........I've shit my pants twice just watching these morons play with buses and HGV's. They'll certainly be shitting and farting all the way to the office. Sweaty armpits with bad BO will seem like like Chanel No 5 when these twats limp into the office clutching their double shot, skinny, mochas
@@TheKamikazenaz I sense a professionally offended person! Just for you though maybe this will help, MOST people don't particularly want to die, especially under a truck on their way to work. Now the result of an accidental death is their may be some bits and pieces the doctors could use to fix others who haven't yet checked out. These people are called "Organ Donors" and the way these people are riding is increasing their chances of becoming such! The reason why you carry a donor card is that in the unfortunate event of you suffering a fatal accident they may use your spare parts to fix others. Clearly the riding tactics of these morons is increasing their chances of becoming a donor?
I clearly remember seeing a bike being ridden very well that was about 1960 and i havent seen one since , the simmtoday appears to be how many red lights can they get passed in 1day and how many people they can hit on the PAVEMENT
Having seen the aftermarth and heard two people killed on bicycles in London it really comes as no suprise when I see these clips. To this day I can still remeber the screams. These people really need to think about their behaviour and consequences, it has an effect on people in so many ways.
The more the conditions favour cycling over motoring the more inexperienced cyclists will be on the roads. Annoying as these people are, I see them as a good sign for the future.
...excellent video. Cyclists here in the states (Particularly Portland OR where I live) need to see this. I particularly applaud the Pavement Riders segment. I've been clipped and nearly hit so many times by cyclists coming up from behind me with no warning often going at a speed suitable for the adjacent street (and the most infuriating is when there is a bike lane present but they still choose the pavement). Ask them politely to give a warning and often the reply isn't "sorry" but either the middle finger salute or an insult to your genetic heritage. If anything at least my experiences here will have prepared me well for when I visit London.
i think the same common-sense that is available to pedestrians should suffice ...then again, perhaps they also need "training"...and then again (again)... aren't be all required to go to school and learn the basics of functioning in our society?
@@hushed9144 In the Netherlands, when they are 12 they take a bike exam. The school provide that. That is why we have respect and we can anticipate very well. In the Netherlands a 5 km drive takes 15 minutes. In Londen or NY the same ride is 30 minutes I think
Not just that, also some major redesigning of the roads and traffic laws. If you look at the Netherlands, bikes and cars are almost always segregated, except in residential areas where the speed limit is 15 kmh. It would be insane to have cars be able to drive on a bicycle lane, and so it is insane to have bicycles be able to ride on a car lane. You can't have 2+ ton vehicles share the same road with 12kg bikes. Not only is it extremely dangerous for the cyclists, it is also extremely frustrating for the cars because of terrible field of vision (especially when it comes to spotting cyclists) and lack of maneuverability.
the song is called 'Panama Hat' by Audiotronix. TH-cam lets me use it for free as long as I write the details on the comments. By the way I had forgotten to add those details in the comments, but good that you reminded me. :-)
Cyclists want respect from other road users? Then start obeying the Highway Code like the rest of us have to! Near me in Gloucestershire they have miles of cycle tracks, but cyclists don't use them, they ride on the road, and then get angry when you overtake them without leaving a 2 metre gap. Then you stop at red lights and they overtake within millimetres up the inside next to the kerb and ride through the red light!
Same goes for drivers who don't use their blinkers before they actually start turning. Or drivers who overtake bikes in dangerous spots, without keeping safe distance. There are lots of awful cyclists and drivers, and since there are not enough bike paths, we have to share the road.
true. Sometimes I feel pedestrians are even worse. Walking on the cycling path, running on the street while watching their smartphones, not looking left or right before crossing the street, knowing that it's always the driver's or rider's fault. Last time there was an old lady who screamed as she was walking on the sidewalk as I passed here riding on the cycling lane, and at least 2 meters of distance to the lady. "Don't go so fast, you're endangering everybody else". I was wearing a helmet, had my lights on, ringed my bell loudly and rode on the cycling path, at a safe distance to car doors. Don't know what I did wrong there. But she seemed so surprised that there are cyclists riding on the cycling path. ^^
I,m a cyclist, motorcyclist, car and van driver and the single biggest offenders are cyclists absolutely suicidal then when they get squashed all of a sudden the motorist is a criminal cause some Lycra jockey decides to kill himself to save stopping at a red light wankers!!!!!
I'm a cyclist, a motor cyclist, and a car driver, and must say that motor vehicle drivers are the ones who break the law 95% of the time by either going above the speed limit (which is 20MPH in most of London) or using their mobile device on the wheel.
if you fuck up in a car 99.9% of the time your going home ,if you do the same on a cycle your dead ,which is why I find it amazing cyclists flout the highway ,I think your right motorist do break the law ,maybe a few mph over the limit or my pet hate on the dam phone but generally they don,t drive straight through red lights or drive on the pavement or go the wrong way down one way streets ,under cut buses lorries and another one of my favorites riding straight through pedestrian crossings ,I drive between 30 and 40 k per year including London and most major towns in the south and with out exception cyclists are the ones blatantly breaking the law day in day out every single day ,most don,t wear helmets or have lights at night ,then you get them bleating cause they get abuse or end up in a heap or worse ,just don,t understand why such a vulnerable group have so little regard for there own safety, dash cam is the only way forward ,number plates and insurance has to be implemented, there is enough cameras in towns now ,the fines from cyclists running red lights could pay for compulsory training and policing of cyclists ,by the way I would be happy to wear number plate on a bib or on my ruck sack and 100% think cycling is the way forward in towns good for environment and public health but not if your getting squashed cause you could not be assed to stop for the red light or the little old lady with the broken hip dies three weeks later from infection because a cyclist did not stop for the pedestrian crossing ,cyclists have to be help accountable especially now with the massive increase .
You're talking as if cyclists were a menace, whilst if you look at the stats is motor vehicle drivers the ones who killed 5 people in the UK along per day. And don't get me started about the pollution that motor vehicle cause which kills another few 100s a year along. Once you can ensure this doesn't happen anymore with motor vehicle with number plates I will be happy to discuss number plates an insurance for cyclists.
Silvio Diego removing cyclists from towns would stop the deaths completely and make all other road users safer ,but in the real world it's going to take a solution that involves everyone and everything ,pollution is not just caused by cars and most cars and vans have DPF and cats fitted so pollution is there but at very low levels also hopefully electric will replace most cars and small vans in cities soon but useless for me ATM as I need a van that will do bath to Birmingham then London and home in a working day ,I'm assuming your not a motorist and as such your coming from a very narrow perspective and it's understandable why you have a skewed view ,your best bet is to get out of London and come and do some forest rides with me in Wiltshire ,you will never want to go back lol, ride safe chap .
you're clearly not reading my comments... working on the assumption that I'm not a motorist whilst I have already said "I'm a cyclist, a motor cyclist, and a car driver, ". Glad you enjoy forest rides in Wiltshire, but for the rest your suggestions to avoid cyclist's deaths and about pollution are preposterous.
I dont mind them going in between cars but breaking red lights and zebra crossings really pisses me off. thats where others can get really hurt. Pedestrians cant hear them and they just come flying out from behind cars. They would do well to grow some extra brain cells before some of these get someone killed or themselves for that matter.
'I've had both legs amputated and permanent hearing loss through smashing my head into a bollard when that lorry caught my cycle and dragged me under the wheels, but it's the lorry drivers fault, I'm allowed to filter.' I saw enough idiots riding like this when I rode motorcycles, it doesn't matter who's in the right if you're maimed or dead. That girl emerging from between the buses was pure stupidity that endangered two other road users.
Mate that sounds awuful! Sorry to hear about that terrible incident, and you're right when you have life changing injuries doesn't matter who's in the right.
The one I did about motor vehicle drivers: th-cam.com/video/T6Xo8LVu-mY/w-d-xo.html The one I did about Taxi drivers: th-cam.com/video/I0Jg_lhixiI/w-d-xo.html many others on my channel.
I mean if they are breaking the law like riding on the sidewalk, there is little to stop you from giving them a shove. What are they going to do? Get the cops? Officer, this man pushed me when I was riding my bike on the sidewalk, then you just claim he ran into you and fell, who do you think the cop is going to believe?
In my younger days I used to ride my bike from Wandsworth to victoria to work. Always stopped at red traffic lights. Signalled my direction change intensions and stopped when anyone was on a pedestrian crossing. Can't ride now which is a disappointment.
I live in Waterloo Ontario, Canada, and these granola munchers do this there to. They have a nice 6 foot wide bike lane complete with a yellow painted line and 2 lanes dedicated to cyclists only, running 10 feet from the main road, completely separated from traffic and away from danger, and they refuse to use it. They'd rather hold up traffic and piss people off. apparently this is safer then using the bike lane that our tax dollars paid for. I'm' a motorist as well as a motorcyclist and a jogger. I'm use to dealing with traffic. I just can't understand why the majority of cyclists act like assholes. They want to be treated like a car on the road but the rules of the road don't apply to them. I would say very close to 50% of them run red lights, and cross walks. And why the hell wouldn't you use a lane that's dedicated to you and you only... is it a pride thing? Do you feel less of a man for being on a bike? If you had 2 passengers in your car and could use the car pool lane, Would you use it, or be held up in grid lock traffic? I don't get it... I've been on both sides of the fence and I still don't get it. I don't blame people for hating cyclists.
I suppose the lanes are considered public property, and yes, my tax dollars paid for that. Naturally getting pissed off is influenced by the events surrounding a person. In this case, when I see someone putting themselves in a dangerous situation by choice, and causing unnecessary stress to the people surrounding them, yes it tends to bother me. Why wouldn't it? If someone does this by choice, most people would consider such actions "assholeish" Whining? hardly. It is a hard fact that many cyclists don't obey the rules of the road. I would say as high as 1/3rd in the area I live in. If this percentage of drivers ran red lights, failed to yield, cut pedestrian crossings etc. could you imagine the amount of near misses and death that would occur? Is it ok for me to perform the same actions in my 2 ton car? As for the rest of it. Canada is one of the most peaceful countries in the world... so go fuck yourself.
Well Brandon, I have searched your comments to see if you have said anything that would make you selfish, or a dimwit........I saw none. There are however selfish comments from a dimwit on this page...
Reasonable guy. Actually, his comments are somewhat selfish, but you need to understand certain things in order to connect the dots. There may be a dedicated bike lane in waterloo, but in many cases, they are not safe for those of us who cycle at a good pace. They are also not safe in many instances where they merge into main lanes. I can't comment specifically, but I have never seen a bicycle lane that was reasonably built to safely cycling on that was separated from the road. In essence, these make a bicycle user a second tier road user, when they do by law have all of the same rights to use ANY section of road except for the 400 series highways (in Ontario , plus equivalent's elsewhere).Further, when Brandon says "our taxes" pay for these, you are correct. Just like "our taxes" pay for ALL of the roads that are predominantly used by automobiles. So the better question for Brandon M is in fact:Why am I, a non-automobile user, paying to subsidize YOUR use of the road as a car driver and motorcyclist? Roads are paid for via income tax, property taxes, and that tiny little bit of tax collected at the pumps from gasoline sales (virtually nothing).
Brandon, for the record, this is not a good argument:"They want to be treated like a car on the road but the rules of the road don't apply to them. I would say very close to 50% of them run red lights, and cross walks. " against "cyclists", as the same criticism and argument is used on car drivers and motorcyclists.
The way the city is laid out with its abundance of signage and traffic markings, makes for a flow of vehicles and cyclists that is less than optimal. Pedestrian islands, roundabouts, merging lanes and splitting lanes sees cyclists navigating along the perimeter, adding to the width of overall vehicular traffic. Interspersed with that, are the pedestrians posing a unintended target by walking laterally with and against a light to do so. I lived in downtown Los Angeles, and although it is similarly clustered and compacted, the path is still straight from stop light to stop light, with none of the confusing markings. You make a left like a left-turning vehicle, staying in the appropriate lane and using hand signals, and you make a right by hugging the curb and signaling your intentions. This is not a putdown of London, but simply is what i am observing in comparison to Los Angeles. Go Fromme and the Alex Moulton bicycle.
This looks to me like a normal day for cyclists in London. All doing what cyclists do best...totally ignoring the little things like THE LAW and The Highway Code!
Obviously, but my point is there is a different to propper blue-blooded cyclists whou follow the beautiful sport and just any old sod who jumps on a bike, unaware of the beauty & history of the sport, who does somthing idiotic which then gives propper cyclists a bad reputation.
Obviously, but what I'm saying is that most of the idiotic "cyclists" aren't proper, blue-blooded cyclists who understand the history and beauty of the sport, and insted they are just people who swing their leg over the top tube with out an apritioation for the sport.
You don't have to race to be a real cyclist, but I take your point. Most of these people have adopted pedestrian behaviour on the road. The worst that can happen if you're being dozy on the pavement is you bump into someone. On the road you're smorgasbord. It's like they're in a virtual reality and can press the re-set button when it all goes wrong. Because most of central London is in gridlock they think nothing will move, but in reality it's long pauses with short intervals of everyone for themselves. It's in those periods that cyclists die.
some of the filtering was not so bad , the going across ped crossing is a no,no, should always be ped,s before traffic, but as for the cars F~@K them ! no need for a car in the city,
Cycling between two vehicles with a tight fit will result in you being crushed to death sooner or later dont do it.!! I seen this happen, a cyclist got crushed between a heavy goods lorry and a double decker bus.The cycle frame was embedded deep into both his legs it was his high pitched hysterical screaming in pain that really sticks with me even after 18 his injuries would almost certainly mean he would be a cripple today.
Great compilation! Well there're many similar idiots on cycle in my town too. Some years ago I created 'The worst cyclists in Szeged" in each year but I gave up because of many miserable competitors. And.. this week I had a close call with a wrong side cyclist, that was scary... :( I think I will upload that but I don't know yet how.
I know london cops will pull cyclists for riding on pavements or using a phone (same penalties as driving) or headphones, jumping reds or wrong way riding, but there's not enough of them doing it and the problem when it becomes darwinian is that they invariably affect those around them.
I'm not surprised that London cops will do that. Cops will happily ignore a motor vehicle drivers on the phone, or going well above the speed limit, but a cyclist riding pavements or jumping the lights really makes them see red.
As a cyclist of many years in London I'm....totally in agreement with all those: - The ones who jump lights/ride on pavements/go the wrong way down a road shold be stopped and fined just like a car would. - The ones who ride through zebra crossings whilst pedestrians are on it should be arrested for reckless endangerement. - The ones who ride alongside moving buses/trucks are going to kill themselves anyway, so they're past caring. The only one I'd question is filtering through traffic when that traffic has stopped. If I waited behind stationary traffic in London I wouldn't ever get anywhere! (And on a related note, pedestrians who cross roads when the vehicular traffic has stopped - but bikes, mopeds and motorbikes are still travelling through - should also be fined. Go wait at the traffic light and cross when the little man is green)
@@SilvioDiego In the UK it's been illegal to ride on any pavement since 1835 check out the Highways Act 1835 - there's only 3 sections still in force and prohibition of cycling on pavements is one of them.
Great video demonstrating some of the reckless cyclists out there... unfortunately these are the ones who are likely to get injured and accuse the driver. Everybody needs to work together on the roads to make them safer and not just focus purely on drivers.
that first one, the bus had obstructed his crossing... which is against the highway code, but they do it anyway because there's no Police around when you need them...
As a cyclist, I'm cringing, how can anyone want to squeeze between a bus and a lorry and expect any of the drivers to know they are there? So many things wrong with London and this is one!
I think something needs to be done to give them accountability.
So now I understand why so many cyclists get spannered in London... I don't think I've seen so many wombles in one clip
They frustrate a lot of cyclists too - giving us all a bad name

@@romeospahiu2510 And yet, a car driver doing the same would (rightly) be prosecuted. That, Romeo, is why we despise cyclists like you.

Good job they aren't in car, vans, buses and HGVs eh! 90% of ALL MOTORISTS don't have a clue frankly, in london I'd say 99.9% are downright fuucking dangerous 100% of the time
@@ynotnilknarf39 If your figures were even remotely true, the death/injury toll would be way higher than you quoted previously!

And what would a cyclist do if a HGV came that close to them ? have a hissy fit of course..
Cyclists quite rightly demand car clearances. So why do they think they need inches of space in heavy traffic? Pavements don't have rules, roads do, and all road users should stick to them.
+Dave France
There's a significant difference in momentum that you're overlooking...
This video makes me hate cyclists in London and I am a cyclist? I’m so conflicted!
i wanted to do my on 'silly cyclists' version as I come across a few, but as you can see from 5 years camming I only managed to find a handful :-)
Belial RLJ you maybe right, but breaking the law, cars do it a lot more often by going above the speed limit, phone use, and RLJ as well, which by the way when cars do it is not as safe when a cyclist does it.
Silvio Diego stupid comment ! Cyclists are breaking the laws ALL THE FUCKING TIMES !!! Grow a brain !
Daktary there's the same percentage of law breakers between cyclists and car drivers. Just like there's the same percentage of idiots posting on TH-cam.
Daktary a have fed so much the trolls that most of them are now over weight! :-)
Shut up Denmark. Nobody cares.
S James why are you so desperate?
I do care, bitch
Cyclists clearly showing they are a danger to themselves!
Too many cyclists think the road is a velodrome and they have absolute right of way, NOPE!
In fairness, there are also too many drivers who think the road is a racetrack.
I'm so lucky my bike commute was a 15 miler each way on canal and river paths - only one small road (mine) to traverse and that was it. Pure heaven.
I've seen the term salmon cyclist a few times and it took me far to long to work out what it meant...
Cringe-worthy. Proud to say I fit into none of these categories when I am on a bike.
It must be the most stressful thing to be a truck or bus driver in london
Ive driven a truck in London , its horrendous to try and get to delivery areas up shitty streets made for carts 200 years ago..
oh yes im bus driver myself
SkunkCommand driving a 44 ton truck with cyclists swarming around like flies is not a nice experience
Stayed for the music
VICENTE David sounds a little like Leon Redbone
I saw the comments on other video of some complaining about the music. This one made me laugh. Good choice Silvio Diego.
I play the same music when I'm taking a shit.
It helps me to relax.
This is amazing to watch.
You often see entitled cyclists that insist on blocking a road for motorists since they need five feet of clearance to each side. Here you have a dude that doesn't mind cycling against even oncoming traffic with only an inch to spare.
I love this video, great work. Nice editing and the music goes perfectly well. By far the most annoying are the no shoulder check guys!
Thanks!
+Silvio Diego I renamed the channel. I spotted one of my English translation errors :)
Now is: Solidarity on two wheels
I hope you want become administrator on this channel.. Now, also, if is good for you
I Just don't understand how people can be so stupid!!
That's them all then
Thanks for this, at the age of 77, just started cycling after about 20 years. Things sure have changed, this was an education!
Silvio, may I please use this video to illustrate a presentation I am giving at a conference of cyclist trainers?
Scary.
I'd add red light jumpers, no helmets and earphones to this list.
Doesn't London have bike paths?
Looks very dangerous that bikes and cars are in the same most of the time.
only in the last year or two some segregated bike lanes have been introduced. I share your sense of fear about HGVs and bicycles sharing the same lane.
Do the cyclists use these lanes?
I see them full of cyclists often, but some cycle infra deniers prefer to think that no one is using them.
In the last years some long distance routes have opened and are succesful.
thanks, brings back memories of my 4 year london cycle commute. seen them all
Great compilation. How on earth the guy at 1:25 got his wheel stuck in the lorry is beyond me lol 😂
very lucky that the lorry had no space to go forward.
+Silvio Diego indeed 😮
Judging by the thumbnail the title should read " Top 10 most annoying circlists ".
There should be a license fo cycling ... If you use the road same as everybody you got to have a license ...
@@Jedimack7 Very well said, will use the zero cyclists banned line if I may!
@@SilvioDiego no but....if cyclist had an ID plate they could be reported breaking the highway code they way they report every one else
I think on the spot fines is the
Way forward
Local councils would love it !
You can easily spot an annoying cyclist. They have big red rings around them..
nonameblues and helmet cams.
It's easy, they're on two wheels 😘
THAT......is exactly why motorists hate cyclists....those idiots give decent cyclists a bad reputation...and sadly,it'll never change..!!
I only watched this video because i wanted to see the cyclists with large red rings on their bikes annoying the other road users.
I am sad now...
so now we have text biking too?
Should be a $300 fine for that level of idiocy (I say this as a regular bike rider).
I cant decide if they are organ donors or just people who stink all day at work.
lol
does everyone take 15 minutes to commute?
Oh yeah they stink all right.........I've shit my pants twice just watching these morons play with buses and HGV's.
They'll certainly be shitting and farting all the way to the office. Sweaty armpits with bad BO will seem like like Chanel No 5 when these twats limp into the office clutching their double shot, skinny, mochas
So when did "Organ Donor" become a slur? I am proud to carry my donor card... and if you were less selfish you would too.
Omg the music choice is perfect for these dopes.
I agree entirely!
the sad thing is, some of would class themselves as experienced cyclists
was with you right till the white bit.??
what the hell has race got to do with?
What's the horn you use on your bike? I wanted something that sounds like a horn with triggers and wondered if that's something you've got?

HeySlowPokes Having good eyes I watch most vids in 240p hd is a waste of time!
Ich wünsche niemanden schwere verletzungen, die sein leben für immer beeinflussen.
...excellent video.
Cyclists surely need some sort of license / training if someone of them are really this bad.
UK Railway and Road Transport Take a look at the Dutch for some examples
i think the same common-sense that is available to pedestrians should suffice ...then again, perhaps they also need "training"...and then again (again)... aren't be all required to go to school and learn the basics of functioning in our society?
Yes cyclists definitely should get training it really annoys me how they ruin the reputation of other cyclists
Great video :) It's good to learn from other people's mistakes. May I ask what the song is?
the song is called 'Panama Hat' by Audiotronix. TH-cam lets me use it for free as long as I write the details on the comments. By the way I had forgotten to add those details in the comments, but good that you reminded me. :-)
Haha thank you :)
I'm a cyclist and I'm proud to say that I have done none of these apart from going on the pavement, but that was when I was younger.👍🏻🙂
We all learned on the pavement and could not wait to be on the road.
Wait the answer is not " all of them" ?
Perfect summary. No wonder so many are killed.
And its always the truck driver, motorist who gets the blame.
Sadly these types of cyclists can be found everywhere, not just in the UK. Cyclists who have absolutely no busines being on the road
Cyclists need to stay off the fuckin road they ain't no vehicle, they better watch out before I mow them down with my truck
Gabe-fartpoop peepants In some states they count as vehicles**
They are no vehicles, I'll run those assholes over with the front of my truck if those douches can't keep speed and I'll piss on their ass

1:36 SUICIDAL CYCLIST RETURNS!!!!
Can someone tell me why the streets dont have regular straight lines for their lanes? It looks like they hired a preschooler to mark them.
I mean...if I had to ride these afwul roads I would probably sometimes be guilty of using walkways as well.
at last, perfect music to accompany the clip, this never happens on yt, well done :)
Thanks a lot!!! I think I had more Sean Connery's watching this video than is allowed in a year.
That music is hilarious
I dont mind them going in between cars but breaking red lights and zebra crossings really pisses me off. thats where others can get really hurt. Pedestrians cant hear them and they just come flying out from behind cars. They would do well to grow some extra brain cells before some of these get someone killed or themselves for that matter.
'I've had both legs amputated and permanent hearing loss through smashing my head into a bollard when that lorry caught my cycle and dragged me under the wheels, but it's the lorry drivers fault, I'm allowed to filter.'
I saw enough idiots riding like this when I rode motorcycles, it doesn't matter who's in the right if you're maimed or dead. That girl emerging from between the buses was pure stupidity that endangered two other road users.
Mate that sounds awuful! Sorry to hear about that terrible incident, and you're right when you have life changing injuries doesn't matter who's in the right.

The one I did about Taxi drivers: th-cam.com/video/I0Jg_lhixiI/w-d-xo.html
many others on my channel.
should be allowed to push them off
Do you mean you can't?
I'll just say that this aggressive comment should be taken into consideration if there is any prosecution against you as a road user.
If someone does this by choice, most people would consider such actions "assholeish"
Whining?
There are however selfish comments from a dimwit on this page...
wefreebefree Who the fuck do you think you are? How much more self entitled can you get? Jeez! lol
Darwinism in action.
How is reckless riding different from dangerous filtering?
This looks to me like a normal day for cyclists in London. All doing what cyclists do best...totally ignoring the little things like THE LAW and The Highway Code!
I'm super clumsy and in my country you don't have other option than ride on the platform
Most of the "cyclists" probably aren't real cyclists and more pedestrians on a bicycle.
it may come to you as a surprise, but sometimes pedestrians drive motor vehicles as well.
Will Hart It has got nothing to do with the sport cycling, so stfu
I'm a cyclist and the actions of these idiots pisses me off! But on the other hand -- they need more bike lanes. Poorly planned roads everywhere.
some of the filtering was not so bad , the going across ped crossing is a no,no, should always be ped,s before traffic, but as for the cars F~@K them ! no need for a car in the city,
How many cyclist are injured/killed in London every year?
since 1986 there's been an average of 17 deaths per year in London, but I think these figures have declined in the last few years.
Nothing wrong with pavement riding as long as you do it sensibly. Better than getting crushed by a bus.
There is a lot wrong with pavement riding.
+Stephen Hicks?
that's against the law.... pavement is only for pedestrian [unless there is a sign for cyclist]
Who cares about the law if it keeps you alive
Do you know the risk of death whilst cycling? You probably do far more risky things than cycling on the road.
I hate the middle aged woman with the basket at the front riding at 1mph taking up the whole road
As Sadiq Kahn would say "this is just part and parcel of living in London"
Just so glad I don’t live in London.
fantastic video! love the soundtrack!!!
That's insane... I wonder how long you needed to collect all this?
not sure if you can tell for the quality some footage is quite old.
Dose anyone know the name of the back ground music it's really catchy.

@@SilvioDiego the music is rather annoying but it's like an accident, you can't stop watching.
great video, good work!
As a cyclist of many years in London I'm....totally in agreement with all those:
- The ones who jump lights/ride on pavements/go the wrong way down a road shold be stopped and fined just like a car would.
I ride on the sidewalk in some parts of the city where I know traffic is hectic. But in my city foot traffic is pretty low.
I suppose it depends what city you do it on... in London is against the law and you can be fined for riding on the sidewalk.

In the UK it's been illegal to ride on any pavement since 1835 check out the Highways Act 1835 - there's only 3 sections still in force and prohibition of cycling on pavements is one of them.
Great video demonstrating some of the reckless cyclists out there... unfortunately these are the ones who are likely to get injured and accuse the driver. Everybody needs to work together on the roads to make them safer and not just focus purely on drivers.
that first one, the bus had obstructed his crossing... which is against the highway code, but they do it anyway because there's no Police around when you need them...
good point, maybe he did not see the light change and that's the reason he continued.
At #1 it should be "People who use a bicycle"
