You said you are embarrassed by "such bad behaviour by cyclists" yet went on to complain that you "all get a bad rep". What is really telling about you (and many cyclists) is that you did not express any surprise at "such bad behaviour by cyclists" yet continue to complain when innocent road/footpath/zebra crossing users, understandably, give cyclists a well deserved "bad rep". Bad cyclists have always been treated mearly as errant pedestrians. With the increased number of cyclists (I am one), along with their increasingly "bad behaviour", perhaps it is now time to treat all operators of 2 wheeled vehicles (human/electric/motor driven) the same as any other road user. It will then be safer for pedestrians, other road users and cyclists.
@wotzcheez Are you being critical for the sake of criticism or attempting to support dangerous cycling? Other than that, your comment/question makes no sense. The commentator said "embarassed to see" thus meaning regular/by many. If the commentator had said "embarrassed to have seen" it would have meant infrequent/by few. So no, by trying to be as brief possible ie not adding the word 'see', my point is most certainly not killed. Thank you for your help in emphasising my point.
It still happens now, I remember it happening in the 90s - fat sl*gs would just walk to the edge of the main roads and push the pram out. Nothing changes on some estates as it seems to be bred in to them, so generation after generation of benefit scrounger keeps on doing it. When there is a death or injury they blame everyone else, it is never their fault according to the new Highway Code. The new rules seem to cater for thick stupid people that take seriously dangerous risks and transfer their liability to others. If only someone would take a test case to court and prove it is not a third party responsibility.
I almost ran over a kid once who broke away from his mother on a reservation and stepped into the road. The mother had a smaller child in a pushchair, so had no control over the other child. At one time, people used a walking rein for sub 5 year Old's!!
I'm a cyclist and I stop at every red light, I wouldn't dream of going through one on red. I also stick to the cycle lanes, the cyclists you have depicted are an embarrassment, sooner or later their luck will run out and they will pay the ultimate price.
After thirteen years of Tory / orange misrule , 100 billion a year poorer due to the brexit, cost of living crisis, it’s hard for me , personally, to discern wot the ultimate price is , sharing the world with favour currying right wing appeasatory arse lickers is pretty hefty right enuff
I’m a cyclist and I stop at like 90% of lights, I have lights on my daily commute I just don’t stop at, it’s completely pointless, plus yeah sometimes I’ll shoot through on certain lights on my daily commute when I know it’s safe, it is what it is 🤷♂️
Yeah I followed all the rules until I got hit while having a specific crossing indicator. Don't expect drivers to follow the rules keep yourself safe most of all sometimes that means not stopping to stay as a unified group or taking the whole lane to prevent unsafe passes (Like the guy in the green shirt was doing playing bouncer for his group)
Watching those cyclists was painful haha. If they would take their safety, and highway code seriously then maybe I would have more respect for them. I know not all cyclists are like this though.
I have no respect for drivers in the UK. Ignore speed limits, approach junctions/roundabouts etc too fast, park on pavements, the list is literally endless.
Cyclists must be made to have proper license and insurance as well as a means of tracing them such as wearing a clearly visible bib with reg number. Also police must prosecute bad cycling

@@Sam-mq9cj I agree with that sentiment having known of a woman and her two children getting killed locally when I was a kid while they were cycling, ploughed down by a speeding driver who did not see them in time on a section of road known for drivers speeding! However, sticksman78 is justified when it comes to cyclists who blatantly flout the laws. Cyclists are just as bound by the highway code as any driver. I will defend cyclists who are not doing anything wrong, I used to be one both here in the UK and in a Canadian city for a number of years. I always followed the road laws, stopping at red lights and giving clear signals of my intentions to turn, etc. The bad cyclists out there give us good ones a bad name to such a degree that drivers think they are entitled to have a go at any cyclist for the slightest of reasons! One example of this was I was being driven home by my brother sometime in 2020 and a cyclist was minding their own business doing nothing wrong when my brother's young son piped up "bloody cyclists" from the back seat and my brother just chuckled at him. I complained that was uncalled for and my brother should not be teaching his kids to be so rude to people. He then had the gall to claim the cyclist should not be on the road because "they do not pay road tax", a common argument that comes from many drivers including, I bet, the creator of this video! So I said "Then you should not be on the road because you are not paying road tax either!" where a short argument ensued about the road tax that was abolished in 1937, 50 years before he was born! The next week during our visit to our mother's he was clearly still fuming about the argument and pulled out his tax forms regarding his car and point to the Vehicle Excise Duty and said "there, I do pay road tax!" I just laughed and said, that's a tax based on the car not the road, it's not the same thing! The road tax was a tax to hold users of the roads responsible for the upkeep of the roads. It was shifted to local councils being responsible as well as the government for roads not covered by local councils. The former being covered today by council taxes and the latter by general taxes, both of which all adults are required to pay! So, adult cyclists are contributing to the upkeep of the roads just as much as drivers and are equally entitled to the use of the roads. That ended the argument right there! lol
@@Sam-mq9cj Yes, the cyclists are the real menace, for one simple reason: Unlike car drivers, they know they can get away with it, as there's very little chance of tracking them as they don't have licence plates (hopefully that will change soon). As a result, the vast majority ride at idiotic speeds on the pavements and zoom through red lights at pedestrian crossings. That can seriously injure or kill. As has happened. I have seen drivers sat at empty crossings with red lights, empty crossroads with red lights, and other pointless red lights. Why? Because they know there may be a camera and they could be tracked and punished for going through it. Cyclists have the privilege of not being concerned about that.
I haven't a problem with normal cyclists. However I do have a problem with a lot of the so called professional/club riders who are the biggest danger to others. I have Zero sympathy for them when they come off or get hurt as they have probably been asking for it. If motorcycles ride in the same way they would get a fine, points and possibly a ban. But as cyclists can't be identified unless they are flat on the floor the police won't do anything about the problem.
Club riders where I live mostly ride carefully on busy roads and in single file. They sometimes ride beside each other on quieter roads, which isn't a problem unless you're driving too quickly and aggressively.
@@benhartley2486 carry on dreaming as this is NOT what most people see. The club / professional riders are the most aregant of all and seem to think the world revolves around them who never do anything wrong on the roads. This is why a lot of people have zero sympathy for them

Lawless people love to bare their testicles and avoid ethics on the roads. 4 wheel weasels and two wheel weasels. Pedestrian terror and death. Defying gravity is fun!!!!!!!!!!!!! Riding stolen bikes makes the rider immune to misdemeanors. If the public had a conscience, the traffic laws would work. Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh................................
Regarding signalling, the Highway Code lists it as a “you should” rather than a “you must”. While I signal wherever practical, and most good cyclists would, sometimes I don’t as it means taking a hand off one brake (I’d rather keep my hand near my rear (left) brake handle if I can) and also reduces control of the bike as you now only have one hand on the handle bars. I would signal where communication to drivers matters. For example, I intend to turn right off a main road, I want to position right in the lane and stop to wait for an appropriate gap, I do not want people trying to overtake as I do this so I signal right early and clearly and move far enough for traffic to pass on the left once I’m stopped. If I was turning left, a signal doesn’t always communicate anything of use, depending on surrounding traffic, so I might choose to keep hands on the bars. At a roundabout near me, I rarely signal to leave it. Road positioning is enough to get an idea where I’m going and a roundabout is somewhere I really want both brakes quickly usable.
Cycling folks love to defy gravity and enjoy stories of near death experiences. Being the proud owner of a stolen bike means you need to show your street cred and suicidal city slicker syndrome.
I know. I have often seen such consorts there. They expect everyone else to be considerate of them, but are not considerate of others themselves. Greetings from Germany (where we got this plague as well).
Terrible to see, they paint a bad picture for the safe cyclists, 88% of cyclists in the UK 🇬🇧 are also drivers. unfortunately I'm pretty sure these very same cyclists have the same attitudes in their cars they probably also amber gamble, jump red lights, occasionally park on red routes, double yellows and the footpaths, park in disabled bays, break the speed limits every day and when they are pedestrians cross the road on red pedestrian lights.
In traffic, law-abiding, ethical, conscientious people are a rare thing. Civic duty is long buried and civic negligence is ultrafashionable. Posting traffic sign compliance rates online and in the local media - might work. When the public gets a report card of the local risk of serious traffic injuries and fatalities, it might listen. Kids love to behave like dare devils and school grads will soon know someone who is a traffic fatality, or three. Gambling with death is fun for the lawless. Kids need street cred to get underage booze etc for their girlfriends too. Establishing criminal harmony takes - looking "bad." Later they continue to ignore traffic laws to show their independence from gravity. It's simply adorable, but surgeons would rather play golf than do unnecessary surgeries on traffic victims. People who just come out without looking really annoy me. I'm in cornwall so our roads aren't exactly wide anyway. But I was driving home one day at 60mph and a runner just popped out of a side road without checking first. There were oncoming cars so I had nowhere to go and with the time I had to brake I must have still been doing about 50 as I went past her. She is so lucky to be alive and I doubt she even knows it.

When I've had the green man at a crossing and I've had a cyclist come through the red, I'm sorely tempted to be " taken by surprise " and accidentally nudge the Lycra clad arsehole so he falls off. Knowing my luck I'd come of worse and in court !!!🚴🚴♀️🚴♂️🚲
My local council ( Swansea ) spent around £200,000 widening the pavement ( both sides ) and making the road narrower ( sod the poor motorists ) near me so the lovely cyclists can have their own special areas ( coloured Blue! ) up one side and down the other. Bloody cyclist was pedalling up the ROAD this morning. Go figure!!!!
Cyclists can ride on cycle lanes or the main carriageway. It is there choice. To be effective a cycle lane needs to be more convenient than the main carriageway but so often councils make them less convenient, longer, not continuous, bumps up and down, no priority over side roads so constantly having to stop and lose momentum. Then they don't maintain them and they get overgrown or they put street furniture in them. If I were a cyclist, I would stick to the main carriageway.
If it's anything like bristol the cycle lanes are filled with glass, little stones, slippery metal manhole covers, drains - basically nothing you want to cycle on and therefore cyclists don't use them. They also start and end in ridiculous places
Don't discriminate against the E scooterists too, they deserve a special thank you. 2 hardly used eye corneas, various other organs available, one careless owner.......
Mistakes you are making with this video: 1) Cyclists have the right to the whole width of the lane just as any other vehicle on the road. Generally they ride on the left of the lane for personal safety and to allow larger vehicles room to overtake but that is not a legal requirement. 2) Cyclists are not required to use cycle lanes. They are there to aid cyclists to make their journeys safer but they are not legally bound to use them. 3) Pedestrians are not legally required to cross at crossings no matter how close they are to the crossings! Sure it's dumb not to use the crossing but it's not a legal requirement. It is your legal responsibility to look out for pedestrians no matter where along the road you are and doubly so when you are close to a crossing, especially zebra crossings. 4) In the clip where you start of saying there is something wrong with the guy crossing at the junction lights, what has he done wrong? NOTHING! In fact, existing road laws prior to the recent changes allowed pedestrians to do exactly this and made it the responsibility of drivers to look out for pedestrians crossing. Now the law is even more in favour of the pedestrian where you basically now have to treat EVERY junction as if it's a zebra crossing, if there is a pedestrian waiting to cross, you have to stop to allow them to cross! 5) The woman cross on the 'red man' did so legally. Just as pedestrians do not have to cross at crossings they also can use a request crossing of that sort and cross when they feel safe to do so even if the 'red man' is showing. They are guides for pedestrians, not traffic lights like for vehicles! "You put your hand up to say stop? YOU stop!" No, the vehicles have to stop! IT'S THE LAW! lol 6) The couple walking to their car in the car park area were inconsiderate but otherwise within their rights. A car park is not a public road and so the rules there differ depending on the owners of the car parks but in general pedestrians have right of way. I won't even go on through the second half of the video as I am sure the above 6 are plenty enough to show you need to re-read your highway code THOUROUGHLY, especially now there have been major changes! Your attitude displayed in just the first half of the video shows the wrongful attitude the majority of drivers have which is a major concern for the safety of cyclists and pedestrians. Do not think I am protecting people who are in the wrong. Cyclists who run lights are clearly in the wrong and need their heads examined. As road users they are as much bound by the highway code as drivers of motorized vehicles are. Also, pedestrians crossing the road without the aid of a pedestrian crossing, including ignoring the status of the crossings (E.G. 'red man' showing), do have a reasonable responsibility to their own safety that can put them at fault if they disregard it and get hurt, like stepping out between parked vehicles without checking for fast moving traffic, but in general the main responsibility is with the drivers of vehicles.
Many car drivers hate every road user on 2 wheels and in the worst scenario they vent their frustration on the very first one after 100 offenders they had to deal with.
I love the one about the woman with her cycling helmet strapped to her handlebars. I worked for the Scottish Ambulance service, frontline, in the northwest of Scotland, quite a remote area. We were called to an incident whereupon a cyclist was found unconscious in the middle of the road near his bike. It looked like a hit and run, his ear was hanging off and we had a police escort to the nearest hospital. All turned out well in the end, he had spent some considerable time in Hospital but recovered well. It turned out that ,as he was cycling downhill ,he hit a stone with his front wheel and went over the handlebars. The best part was.....his cycling helmet was strapped to the back of his saddle. I must admit that when I see people cycling, without a helmet, I smile to myself. I also smile when I see young people riding motor scooters/bikes in shorts, Teeshirts and flip-flops, but that's another story. By the way, I love your channel, you make me laugh.
@@tr_nt. I'll explain to you then! My daughter was walking on a foot path with my 3 year old grandson, there was a cycle lane by the side of this footpath and an adult cyclist overtaking another cyclist ventured into the footpath a caught the back of my grandsons calf with his pedal and just cycled off with not even a backward glance, leaving grandson hospitalised! So as far as I'm concerned all cycles should be registered and display a visible registration and if they leave their designated lanes then they can be held to account and fined! Also all cyclists should take a cycling proficiency test as just about every cyclist breaks laws just about everyday because they are self entitled to$$ers
In that first clip there's about 8 cyclist taking up less space than teo car, but they get moaned at for using up the road?! Makes no sense. Apparently if you're in a speeding metal box you're more important than other humans
I watched a minute of this pro-psychotic video, then stopped, came down here to the comments. I drive a truck and I ride a bicycle. A short time ago I was in the Dept. of Motor Vehicles getting my tags, and I overheard a group of other patrons in there going on and on about how bicyclists are into self-offing (ending their own lives). This kind of talk leads to not feeling any guilt if one of their motor vehicles were to come into contact with a bicyclist, and the bicyclist were hurt, even fatally hurt. "He just did it to himself," they are preparing themselves to say. I'm telling you, these people are working themselves up into a frenzy, staging "accidents," and sometimes they're even blatantly trying to unalive other people just because we're on two wheels and don't have a motor with us.
Person who cycles here: For most of the clips, I agree with you. Red light jumpers (especially in London) is very dangerous for a road user (Inc cyclist) to do. However in regards to cycle paths, especially painted cycle paths, may not always be safe to use for cyclists. For example in one of the clips, the cycle path is tiny. Cyclists should leave an arms width away from the edge of the road. By leaving an arms width gap, it also encourges drivers to overtake cyclists properly, instead of trying to squeeze through.
These are exactly why I 100% agree that cyclists should have licence plates. Yes, drivers break the law too - but the difference is, you can catch them. You can report the plate to the cops. Whereas even with dashcam, there's very little way of tracking cyclists.
The issue with that is the negligible risk a cyclist poses to anyone else, its unrealistic to treat an 8kg aluminium frame going 15mph like a 2-ton metal box capable of 100+ mph
Its a great idea to have registration plates on bikes but here in the UKthe DVLA do not consider its practical or cost effective for what is essentially a leisure activity, bicycles statistically nationwide in the UK do not cause enough serious damage to the roads or to other road users or pedestrians cars do Insurance is not required because in most cases cyclist come off worse in an accident and its not cost effective for insurance companies. Most cycling collisions can be dealt with in a small claims court.
Perhaps those pedestrians should have number plates. Shouldn't we be encouraging people to get out on their bicycles especially in cities? Cleaner air, healthier happier people = less pressure on the NHS, great for the environment. So they jumped the odd red light I'm sure they checked it was safe to do so plus I'm sure they're aware if the make a mistake they will come off worse. We pay for enough in this poxy country and the government are finding more and more ways to track and keep their eyes on us, we must hold on to what freedoms we have left.
Par for the course. I put up a video and the black belt barrister picked up on it. 101 offences in 300 seconds, 99 by cyclists. On the push chairs that's a carriage, a good lawyer would get them done for that. The big one is the illegal motor bikes.
I saw that yesterday, thousands of pounds in potential fines and hundreds of potential points at a single junction in about 5 minutes. The majority of the fines were for cyclists jumping lights and riding on the pavement(usually like a twat)
It wouldn't be points though would it? There is no licence needed for a bicycle. Also, those fines are lower for cyclists. He quoted fines made for motorists.
Nice to see Surbiton again, and priory road, as this was my commute from South Hampstead to Surburiton via Priory Road and Richmond Park (I cycle by e-bicycle and am always getting overtaken by the lycra-clad cyclists as I'm restricted to 15.5 miles an hour)
After watching a video containing a whining common oik get upset that 4 cyclsist had legally overtaken him I gave up. This video proves one thing definitively. That a Tw#t is a Tw#t and the form of transport has no relation to their self entitlement

The fact the you get so stressed while driving home is why I think I enjoy biking so much. Now when I drive, I see how aggravated I get with everyone else on the road and don't get nearly that same level on a bike. I love cars and love driving but I'm not sure it's worth it anymore.
I agree driving just makes you miserable. Cars are expensive, running them is expensive and they keep poor people poor. It’s become normalised for everyone to drive everywhere and to clog up the local roads. You have to deal with drivers who shouldn’t be on the road and unpredictable road users. But at the same time driving gives a lot of people this sense of entitlement because they are in a car and they passed their test an eternity ago that means that they are perfect and don’t understand arbitrary rules.
I may be an old codger but at least I know how to press the back button on the remote control so I don't have to watch something I don't like. If you want I could do a video on how to press the back button.
At 0:06, you really SHOULD have stopped for the traffic light. Odds are one of those cyclists would be bound to run up your backside, put himself out of action for the day, put his bike out of action for a bit longer, and cause his mates not to endanger members of the public with their rule-breaking, because they'd be engaged in trying to justify their mate's actions - which would be impossible, because you were clearly stopping as required at a pedestrian crossing!
I think the cyclists were too far back to have been affected by any sudden stopping. Also, legally, amber does mean stop - unless you're so close to the line that it would be unsafe to stop. From the video, looked like a judgement call.
@@rogueuniversities6866 That would be assuming ALL cyclists were paying proper attention; experience suggests otherwise! Your point is well made, though.
Cyclists want all these rules implied on drivers and drivers get fined and points if they don’t yet they can’t follow the simplest of high way code rules and don’t ever get penalised for it like stop at a red light……. So frustrating
The funny thing is these cyclists also drive cars. 88% of cyclists in the UK 2020 are car drivers and hold a driving licence so have passed a driving test. Their attitudes as drivers and pedestrians must be no different. It's people's attitudes that need to change there is no point blaming any one group of road users. Cyclist do get fined it's just that your never around to see it as there are less cyclists than motorists
Wawawa. A cyclist with bike weighs 90 kilos most. So, if it's safe, it's better for them to move on. Also, cars justs take so much more space. If they want the space the wanker drivers need to pay up. Let's call it road rent. I'd say 2000 pounds a month. Parking, infrastructure and so on. A cyclist needs limited infrastructure and what it needs is because of cars.
Cyclists are immune to gravity. Let them enjoy the pain and also - the incredible stories of near death experiences. Many ride stolen bikes and have zero respect for traffic laws. Yawn........................
Didn't you know?, the moment they squeeze themselves into that Lycra & meet up with their mates it gives them special permission to use the roads as their very own personal race track?, Well they must think that as that's what I see every bloody Sunday! .
Alot more drivers use the roads as a racetrack.. 70mph plus down the motorways everyday, 50mph in 30mph zones !! And these people are driving 1 ton plus vehicles capable of speeds of upto 200mph. Cyclists are riding a 7 -15kg vehicle capable of generally 15mph -30 mph. Its peoples attitudes that need to change there is no point blaming them as cyclists alone. The fact is that most cyclists also hold driving licences (88% in the UK) This 88% of cyclists you mention and rising have the same disregard for other road users when driving their cars too. They are probably the same people who have passed a driving test and have read the Highway code or who have never passed a driving test, dont tax or insure their cars but who still .. park on double yellows, park on red routes, park in disabled parking bays when not disabled, run red lights or amber gamble, exceed the motorways and road speed limits daily, etc..., they probably also dont cross on crossings or cross roads on the red man at the traffic lights.. where does it end !!
People moaning about you moaning are probably culprits too ,me I value my life too much to just step out in the road , women with pushchairs phone in hand plus a coffee most times just push the pushchair out in the road without looking & ethnic don’t seem to know what red lights are for ,bring back the green cross code
My "it boils my blood" is pedestrian crossings that give the pedestrians enough time (ie, MY time!) to cross the road at LEAST twice. So fckinh annoying.
Last week I was travelling along a city street in a car with 2 cyclists. I overtook the cyclists giving plenty of space, but each time we reached a set of lights one of the cyclists placed his bike right in front of my car forcing me to repeat the overtake on each block. Guess I should be glad they stopped at the red light I guess. Then yesterday waiting for the red right turn arrow to go out, I finally was in a position to go, had to wait for a van from the other direction, made my turn and had to brake sharply for the guy who decided to cross on the red man. He glared at me like I was doing wrong, the dickhead.
Being in the middle of traffic is generally a pretty dangerous spot for cyclists to be- that's why advanced stop lines exist. People don't look behind themselves properly, plus if you're between two cars and get bumped from behind you're smacking a car rather than just falling over. That's why folks filter to the front, to make themselves visible. Plus if they're catching up at every red light, did the overtaking actually get you anywhere?
@@samal3196 my daily commute is a motorcycle so I'm fully aware of car drivers not being vigilant and larger vehicles having significant blindspots. The situation i mentioned wasn't moving forward to advanced cycle stop lines or boxes, this was moving across from their direction of travel to come to rest directly in front of the car and in the pedestrian crossing. When I filter to the front of the que on my motorcycle I stay in the gap and don't move across to block the vehicle lane and being a motorcycle I'm unlikely to be holding up traffic once the lights have changed.
@@iallso1 Mm, I do get that you move a lot faster with a motorbike. But in your example, the bikes evidentially weren't holding up traffic- else they wouldn't be able to catch up. Where I live we have to share the foot path with cyclists. But in the same breath we have cycle lanes where cars park half on the path and block the cycle lane. Not much fun for pedestrians .
I don't think that cyclists should have to pay insurance - but if they don't have insurance they shouldn't be able to make a claim against the insurance of other road users.
If we ignore those cyclists, London is such a beautiful city. All those houses, beautiful architecture, a lot of vegetation everywhere... i would love to live in London, and just walk around the city and enjoy the view.
You don't need to signal to go straight on, but you should be riding your bike in the middle of the lane to make sure that people behind You know that you are going straight on and not turning left.
Not going to lie if I throw. If the cyclists ran a red light and I almost hit them tight moments, I would actually hit them intentionally and then claim. It was an accident and the cyclist would be at fault for running a red light
I don't ride like this lol. I ride as far over to the right in the U.S. We go with the flow of traffic. I mind all traffic lights and if I have to stop sometimes I'll waive traffic around me so I'm not in the way as much. I'm very courteous.
The problem is everyone on a bike gets tarred with the same brush . Everyone on a bike is an individual . It's not my fault riding a bike that someone jumps a red light in a place I've never been to before.
Other than the red light jumping these cyclists are not breaking the law Cyclists have always been permitted to ride anywhere between the path and the middle of the road (white lines). Cyclists are permitted to use the other side of the road in slow moving traffic. Cyclists are permitted to use the road even if a cycle lane is available (most cycle lanes are not fit for purpose here in the UK) in this video the cyclist was overtaking another cyclist . Drivers jump red lights, drivers park on double yellows, drivers park on footpaths, drivers drive up one way roads the wrong way, non disabled drivers park in disabled parking bays, drivers break the speed limits everywhere everyday, drivers make dangerous overtaking manouvres and tailgate other vehicles, some drivers drive without a licence , tax or an MOT.. The list goes on !!!
As an occasional reluctant cyclist out of necessity, I still shake my head at these morons and their blatant disregard for the highway code. I always signal well in advance, always stop at red lights (because I'm lazy and any reason to stop pedalling is welcome) and always give room to motorists, especially large vehicles like lorries who don't want to have to look at my backside for too long because they can't overtake due to traffic or windy roads. I always try to be considerate as a cyclist since I know most drivers hate cyclists, and vice versa. So being nice and pulling in to let people pass on rural(ish) roads gives me a chance for a breather and letting a few lorries/cars pass shows that I'm not trying to assert my dominance or show "I have as much right to the road as a car" (like most of these cyclists do) is me trying to do my bit to change the general public perception of cyclists as entitled a-holes. I still get some folks passing too close for comfort or trying to get past where it isn't really safe, but for the most part I get thanked or at least not treated with hostility, so I count it as a win. Love your videos, keep up the good work 👌
Get off your knees mate, it’s embarrassing, the biggest threat to anyone in public spaces is idiots in cars, cyclist’s aren’t much of a threat to anyone but themselves, pretty much every stat backs that up.
Lights are for cars, not bicycles. Look how many people die getting hit by a car a year vs a bicycle Your reliance on a shit tier transportation instrument has you unable to process risk factors properly.
Yh, when I see a cyclist I play the 101 points game. 50 for getting a bad reaction from them for being too close when I pass, 50 points for making them fall off by pretending to open my door when they’re about to pass and the last point is if I get them to say the N word. Never got 101 though.
Brilliant video, cyclists should have to pass a test and obtain a license to ride on the road. Then face the same fines and punishments as drivers when they break the rules!
As a fellow cyclist I feel embarassed to see such bad behavior by cyclists...we all get a bad rep because of them
Nice try, troll.
It's mainly when they ride in packs like these baffoons that they become self important. You see one bloke being a wanker its not so bad innit?

It still happens now, I remember it happening in the 90s - fat sl*gs would just walk to the edge of the main roads and push the pram out. Nothing changes on some estates as it seems to be bred in to them, so generation after generation of benefit scrounger keeps on doing it. When there is a death or injury they blame everyone else, it is never their fault according to the new Highway Code. The new rules seem to cater for thick stupid people that take seriously dangerous risks and transfer their liability to others. If only someone would take a test case to court and prove it is not a third party responsibility.

That's great pal, I read about a car running over a kid and killng them, but them cyclists eh? The real menace.
A compilation of these cyclists and their misbehaviour needs to be put together and sent to Jeremy Vine (the motor car hater!)
Is everything alright at home, mate? I think you need a hug…

Those clips really made my blood boil, especially the first. These sort of things are the norm here in Dublin as well!

That’s why cyclists need display registration plate, this is to address the accountability issue.
Shock!!!!!! How dare a cyclist use the road as they are legally entitled to?
Same in Bournemouth, so emergency vehicles have to use the path in an emergency. I’ve driven the road many times and only ever seen one on it.
If it's anything like bristol the cycle lanes are filled with glass, little stones, slippery metal manhole covers, drains - basically nothing you want to cycle on and therefore cyclists don't use them. They also start and end in ridiculous places
@@johnnichol9412 In the contrary we need dedicated cycle lanes that are actually fit for purpose, like the have in NL

Don't discriminate against the E scooterists too, they deserve a special thank you. 2 hardly used eye corneas, various other organs available, one careless owner.......
Mistakes you are making with this video:
1) Cyclists have the right to the whole width of the lane just as any other vehicle on the road.
IT'S THE LAW! lol
6) The couple walking to their car in the car park area were inconsiderate but otherwise within their rights.
What about cyclists who skip for red lights? Should get their bikes seized and crushed
That is the longest message I think I've ever had I hope to get the time to read it.
Remind us what those zig-zag lines mean. No PEDESTRIANS. No parking. No loading/unloading. No setting down passengers. No overtaking.

I think if their is a cycle lane and the cyclist cycles outside its lines then they should be fined
I think that you shouldn't think.
Please explain why! Enlighten me!
@@tr_nt. I'll explain to you then! So as far as I'm concerned all cycles should be registered and display a visible registration and if they leave their designated lanes then they can be held to account and fined!
The cyclist blocking the lane!
First you berate him and then say "what an arse!"
You should not be admiring the arse of someone who behaves like that
😂

But at the same time driving gives a lot of people this sense of entitlement because they are in a car and they passed their test an eternity ago that means that they are perfect and don’t understand arbitrary rules.
As a keen cyclist, I do get pissed of with groups that choose to ride taking up the whole lane.
Ring held captive by this old codger, in his car, while he rants and moans at ordinary everyday dumb-shittery, is pure nightmare material.
I may be an old codger but at least I know how to press the back button on the remote control so I don't have to watch something I don't like. If you want I could do a video on how to press the back button.
Using a phone in your hand while riding a pushbike is another that should be looked at.
The one part that really grinds my gears is the people casually walking in the middle of the carpark road.. So arrogant
@@bikertime1 Naw, 4 wheel weasels and 2 wheel weasels need ethics. It's not rocket science......................
If they can run red lights then I can fail to see them on the road.
“How can u have your pudding if you don’t eat your meat “
This guys just going out in his car moaning at random people ahahaha what a true Brit
Many are executives showing their total lack of ethics. Riding stolen bikes makes misdemeanors petty. Yawn..................
American here. What do the zig-zag lane markings mean?
These are commonly found at crossings and detailed in the highway code, rule 191.
Put simply, not to park or overtake in this area.
People moaning about you moaning are probably culprits too ,me I value my life too much to just step out in the road , women with pushchairs phone in hand plus a coffee most times just push the pushchair out in the road without looking & ethnic don’t seem to know what red lights are for ,bring back the green cross code
Out of curiousity, what do you do as a job? You seem to be all over the country and was just curious, great video by the way
I just drive for a living, sometimes delivering parcels sometimes delivering people.
They should be licensed like us drivers do and have number plates!!! . Issued penalty points and treated as any other driver on the roads.
Not cost effective
I'd hate to be this angry at nothing day in day out xD

@@thelondondashcam There you go, Sweetie
My "it boils my blood" is pedestrian crossings that give the pedestrians enough time (ie, MY time!) to cross the road at LEAST twice.
So fckinh annoying.
It is bad to see cyclists using the road like this, they are just as bad as most motorists
That said, one shouldn't be stopping in pedestrian crossings. But THAT said I think I'm more in support of what keeps folks most safe.
@@samal3196 who can tell, if I hadn't needed to wait for a safe overtake of the cyclists maybe I would have passed through the next set of lights before they turned red. I'm sure a less courteous driver would be able to say.
@@iallso1 True! I'm generally not too fussed about overtaking unless I know for sure it's gonna save me decent time- not sure I'd bother in most cities. BUT that's my own choice!
Have you thought about finding a new hobby 🤭
Hint: You don’t have to watch his videos.
1:30 as a cyclist I agree the car in front is slowing as it’s a red light and the left lane is clear so if turning right and needs to be in that lane just keep to the left lane that’s clear and when in the cycle box just move into the right ready for when lights turn green
as the only mode of transport that kills over one million people every year, everyone else on the road is the jerk and must follow the rules designated for cars.
People have become so much more selfish within the last 20 years, no one gives a fuck anymore, because people no longer speak up in groups, but only as a single person, so it doesn’t help. It’s like the people who don’t speak up, have somehow just given up, or doesn’t care about anything anymore.
At 8:30, skip lorry = bottom of hierarchy; cyclist near top. Ergo, skip lorry driver must jump through hoops not to endanger cyclist, yet cyclist can put himself in whatever peril he considers necessary to advantage himself. Hierarchy in action; shit upon anybody beneath you...10:37, same again.
He's complaining at the beginning about cyclist going at the same speed as the traffic in front of them. What's the issue there?
As a cyclist they are awful road cyclist don’t even know how to ride effectively with traffic, just pure arrogance it’s funny you watch! Agree with the driver
The driver creating this video may not die in a car crash, but he is always so wound up, he'll soon get a heart attack. He needs to chill or pack up driving.
You're not the first to say that funnily enough.
In most cases using a cycle lane is more dangerous because impatient drivers use the opportunity to overtake and force the bike to the curb
I love to see more cyclists taking over the roads , car drivers are the ones responsible for millions of deaths not cyclists
A quite sizeable proportion of bike riders ruining it for those of us who ride to the latter of the law
Riding stolen bike makes them immune to gravity........................ Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..............................
Where I live we have to share the foot path with cyclists. But in the same breath we have cycle lanes where cars park half on the path and block the cycle lane. Not much fun for pedestrians .
This should be renamed, "Whinging Pom"
Are you an Aussie by any chance
You can see why many people dislike cyclists
Riding stolen bikes makes them ignore laws and gravity.
Its irrelevant what kind of vehicle someone is using, an idiot will be an idiot no matter what they are using.
They go into the middle because the majority of car drivers just turn left without indicating and it means death for them
I don't think that cyclists should have to pay insurance - but if they don't have insurance they shouldn't be able to make a claim against the insurance of other road users.
You ought to call out "I like your red light jumper"
This is why the Darwin Awards where cancelled due to too many winners

If we ignore those cyclists, London is such a beautiful city. All those houses, beautiful architecture, a lot of vegetation everywhere... i would love to live in London, and just walk around the city and enjoy the view.

hello sir/maddam, how do we signal for going straight/turning (situation around 5:21 in the video)?
also under what condition is it okay to occupy the center of the lane?
You don't need to signal to go straight on, but you should be riding your bike in the middle of the lane to make sure that people behind You know that you are going straight on and not turning left.
When going straight on at 5:21
Not going to lie if I throw.
So your the one that does it properly 😉
The problem is everyone on a bike gets tarred with the same brush . Everyone on a bike is an individual . It's not my fault riding a bike that someone jumps a red light in a place I've never been to before.
The problem is that the powers that be have given them the road and you as a driver are expected to drive around their stupidity
I know it's rare, but I love seeing cyclists get ticketed.
I’ve been driving 38 years and I’ve never seen it happen.
@@thelondondashcam There was a video of one in London; did something stupid in front of a motorcycle cop, not sure if it was a red light.

In a way I enjoyed this! Why? Because it confirmed my belief that motorists have to take care of people who can't take care of themselves.
Other than the red light jumping these cyclists are not breaking the law
Cyclists have always been permitted to ride anywhere between the path and the middle of the road (white lines).
Cyclists are permitted to use the other side of the road in slow moving traffic.
Cyclists are permitted to use the road even if a cycle lane is available (most cycle lanes are not fit for purpose here in the UK)
in this video the cyclist was overtaking another cyclist .
To be fair at the smaller traffic lights there's really no reason for cyclists to completely stop when it clear no one is crossing
Other than the law
Only a wanker would stop
It will be a good day when the Government make cyclists have a reg plate and insurance .
Love your videos, keep up the good work 👌
Very selective clips. Obviously no car driver ever goes through a red light...

Lights are for cars, not bicycles.
Look how many people die getting hit by a car a year vs a bicycle
Your reliance on a shit tier transportation instrument has you unable to process risk factors properly.
I agree, If its brought in to law every 5 year old on a bike needs to sit a test.
I want the same with pedestrians.
