Glad to find this. I have 89 c1500 that is white just like the car shown. Oxidation. I'm going to do this vs repainting for now. I thought oerhqos the paint was faded and gone lol
Nice job! Have you polished your fleet of 2002s? I think one or two of the rougher ones would look cool polished and the rust preserved with just clear coat. I’d love to see an entire car-before and after pic.
Good day to you. My roof of my Tacoma has cloudy splotches. They are not blistering of peeling. I tried Mcguiars compound but just made it smooth. The pad was the finest one. I guess I need more aggressive pad and a stronger compound?
Sometimes the clear coat actually gets damaged from the UV rays. I know some older Toyotas have this problem. Unfortunately a repaint/ reclear will be the only to fix it.
I have dark blue paint. Normal white colors of polish etc,. fill up in the chips and other imperfections. How do I prevent this? I have tried blue polish/wax but can't get the shine. Thanks.
I just did a cut on a Milano Red 200 Integra (using macguires ultimate cut) and my cutting pad had no red residue on the pad. Any idea on why I’m doing wrong? Pretty sure it’s a single stage paint. Perhaps I’m not putting enough pressure
This guy is awesome just as knowledgeable as big TH-cam detailers he knows what he’s talking about for sure
Amazing difference between the start and the end.
It was a nice tutorial, well done.
Thanks from Myrtle Beach ,South Carolina Dave! I'll speak to the weather man and see if he can send some warmer weather up there buddy!
Clay bar does not get rid off imperfections, it probably causes more imperfections. It does pull off a lot of contaminants though.
Awesome video man
Thanks for the nice simple tutorial. I’ll be using your technique to polish my dull old 1962 MGA

How many times do you need to get over the same spot to get a gloss finish?
Sweet

Is this acrylic paint without lacquer or does it have a layer of lacquer ?
Does that have some kind of clear coat?
What is yhe spray you use to clean the dust off in the beginnjng
Hi can you tell me what color head's to use on a da polisher
In other words what color pad for each stage. Cutting polish finish
so the car don’t have clear coat? Should I apply base paint and clear coat?
I always thought you would want to use the polish machine for the last wax step as well?
Heaps quicker.
About how long did it take looking as good after u polished it ?
That’s a good question! I don’t remember how long that took but an average sized car is usually around 10 hours if not more.
How long does the shiny ✨ last?
This is ok for single stage paint with older cars or 2pack colour. For 99% of modern cars which have a bascoat and top coat lacquer it will not work.

That vehicle has two-stage paint. You will only see paint transfer on your pad when you’re cutting and/or polishing single-stage paint.
sealant glaze or ceramic
Where is your safety equipment when using the polishing machine?
Hi David where are you based?

Well, you can polish a turd.. but its still a turd!
