RAF PIPES and DRUMS & QUEEN'S COLOUR SQUADRON in LONDON

This records my only sighting of a live pipe band during the pandemic year 2021. It is a welcome addition to my channel. It is posted with all best wishes for 2022 to all the viewers and subscribers of this channel.
The tunes being played are Wings followed by Scotland the Brave.
Most people are aware of the close and historical ties between pipe bands and the Scottish army regiments. Fewer, perhaps, are aware that there are several pipe bands associated with the Royal Air Force (RAF). These are based at Kinloss, Leuchars and Lossiemouth in Scotland and Halton and Waddington in England. Band members regularly combine to form the RAF Pipes and Drums.
This clip shows the band in Queen Victoria Street in London participating in the 2021 Lord Mayor's Show. It is leading the Queen's Colour Squadron past Baynard House a prime example of brutalist architecture.
