1 month ago, my wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Rylynn Leanna, is everything to us. I had the pleasure of meeting Andy in NY at BB Kings. Wonderful soul. His work, obviously, is something our house revels in. Thanks, Andy.

I’ve been listening to this song since I was 19 when a buddy at our computer store showed me Andy. I’m 34 now. I’ve listened to this through so many great and terrible times alike. Thanks man.
It’s taken me 13 years to learn the “easy” first half of this song on guitar. Today was the first time I played it along with the video, and it doesn’t sound terrible!
I also did an attempt of covering the song (it's on my channel) but I did it in standard tuning though.
If you can play the first part half decently then you're not really that far off from being able to play the next section. Yes there are some awkward positionings but it really just takes getting used to. And if you learn how to play that part. Then you won't be far off from playing the outdoors either . There is a great Japanese tutorial for this song. The language doesn't matter because you can see the guitar and follow along with a tabth-cam.com/video/0EcOR6lOMII/w-d-xo.html

I was in IRAQ in 2009 in the middle of a war zone hoping to stay alive and listening to this masterpiece at nights I was just 20 years old, Here I am in USA I got married with my 2 years old son and my beautiful family. I just want to say I remembered all those long nights not knowing my future what is going to be. Thank you Andy McKee, your music helped me emotionally and mentally going into a tough times of my life.

This song is absolutely amazing. I still remember what I felt when I first listened to this song 15 years ago. I was overcome with emotion. I just couldn't believe my ears. I've never felt something like that again listening to guitar. The beauty of that song and the performance are just incredible. Finding out about the back story of the song was another major discovery. Listening to Andy for the first time and other songs like drifting, ebony coat, heather's song, hunter's moon and art of motion was one of the best things that ever happened to me. The feeling of that first time is something I will never forget.

I learned this along with drifting a few years after it came out on candyrat - I have since forgotten Rylynn, and half of Driftng - Life man.....It get's so busy, dog, girlfriend, 6 days a week working, then spare time you gotta holiday for them all, then the little bits inbetween you gotta go see family....I miss the days of just being able to sit in my room alone and just be with the music and the learning.
