- These red velvet brownies are so fudgy and thick! If you like red velvet cake or cookies you will love these. And the white chocolate chips are similar to the cream cheese you normally have with red velvet.

Valentine’s Heart Red Velvet Bars
Ingredients:
All-purpose Flour: 1 ¼ cup (150 grams)
Cocoa Powder: 3 tablespoons (18 grams)
Cornstarch: 1 tablespoon (8 grams)
Salted Butter: 3/4 cup (170 grams), melted
Granulated Sugar: 1 and 1/4 cups (250 grams)
Distilled White Vinegar: 1 teaspoon
Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon
Red Food Coloring: As needed (liquid or gel)
Eggs: 2
White Chocolate Chips: 1 cup
Directions:
1. Prepare Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and cornstarch until well combined.
3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted salted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
4. Add the distilled white vinegar, vanilla extract, and red food coloring to the butter-sugar mixture, and whisk until evenly incorporated.
5. Beat in the eggs until fully combined.
6. Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Gradually sift the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula until fully incorporated.
7. Add White Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the white chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
8. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with moist crumbs.
9. Cool and Shape: Allow the brownies to cool slightly in the pan before removing them. Once cooled, cut the brownies into nine squares. Optionally, use heart-shaped cookie cutters to cut hearts out of the squares.
