It would be more interesting if you tuned it with the S2000 manifold first & then swapped, that way we could see what effect the cams had & then the new intake manifold.
Personally, I care more about just watching you guys wrench on your cars than not seeing Dyno numbers that you may have promised earlier in the video. This build is sweet and is encouraging me to RWD K-swap something fun as well.
This really makes me want to get behind on bills to get cams for my k24/k20. Dynoed at 229hp/191lbft 50k miles ago, always wondered how much more it'd make with some good cams
Run the current manifold and injectors. Then show the difference with the k manifold. That thing isn't cheap. It'd be nice to know if it only makes 5hp over the current one so I don't have to buy it.
Reinstall the S2000 Manifold and Injectors and dyno the motor with that setup, then switch it to the K Manifold and RDX Injectors and do a dyno on that setup to see the benefits/differences between the two
Yes electronically limiting VTC to 45 degree works untill you mishft into a lower gear and boom, there goes the engine. I have lost one fully built K-24 worth 15000$ to this money shift. So always phyically limit them if using on a k24 engine. K24 stroke is longer, so at high rpms(11000-12000 RPm which happens in a mis-shift) piston slams into valves, valve drops and .....
Ok now I understand why people get the DC 40° physically limited. Thanks for explaining cause I always wondered why people change their rbc vtc when doing k24 with aggressive cams while some people with the same setup don’t change them
That tool for adjusting the rockers I got with my s2000. Super useful. Makes me doubly want my own k swapped 240sx then. Hard top and manual valve adjustments?
Lol at your tuner. Honda ECUs have logic to occasionally take the VTC gear to 50° to clean them also if you over rev the thing and there's no mechanical stop you'll easily pass 40°. Yikes
Gah! Speaking of FedEx losing things. I ordered a swingset/slide for my daughter the first week of June. FedEx loses it for 2 weeks. I'm not sure how you LOSE a 130lb package. I report it lost, and then lo and behold it arrives at my house yesterday after they said they couldn't find it and it was surely lost.
But many 240 guys have swapped to them already it’s cheap and it makes good power power N/a and boosted it’ll handle 500whp without touching bottom end
S chassis would appreciate the hp in the top revs but, given its wheelbase and weight a larger displacement engine with midrange grunt would be more suited imo. I'm looking at you LS and RB haha
choose less crappy background music please. love your content and while I don't typically comment, I do have to mention the crap music track starting around 1:26. hope FedEx finds your package!
Would. a stage 4 4pistons na head be built well enough for a stage 4 drag cartel cam? Or if I want stage 4 cams in my k20A2 do I just need to do the valve train
Mark Walton should be fine unless they want to rev over 9k rpm in which case you’d want lighter pistons and rods for less reciprocating weight inside the engine
First comment.... you do know that touching new valvesprings with bare hands is a no no right ? the fat-acids in our skin can wreak havoc with springsteel..........
Is Nick the same guy as Pete? They sound very similar and all Nick's vids never show him. Sorry, I've been couped up all week and I may be bored and over thinking things.
That can't be the proper way to crack and torque down those sprocket bolts.... What about leaving it in the motor and have someone hold the cam with a wrench just to crack it loose first?
It would be more interesting if you tuned it with the S2000 manifold first & then swapped, that way we could see what effect the cams had & then the new intake manifold.
THIS
Yes please.
Exactly. Seeing what each mod produces is always best
Too much effort
most kind-hearted and thorough car tuners on youtube. keep up the good work yall
The Speed Academy kitchen is open and making more jam!
Speed Academy once again showing why the K series is one of the best engines ever!
Reach out to Rob Dahm, he's the expert on lost packages
"lost"
@@laurean5998 hahaha exactly

I regret not buying one of these when they were still around for a good price. I cant even find one now that isn't already a smashed drift car.
This really makes me want to get behind on bills to get cams for my k24/k20. Dynoed at 229hp/191lbft 50k miles ago, always wondered how much more it'd make with some good cams
(Please) Keep the S14 N/A for life. Let the Bimma aka Supercar killer be Boost Hero.
Oh ye!!
Oh those cams are wicked, they also have less aggressive cams that are DIC
Like?
Run the current manifold and injectors. Then show the difference with the k manifold. That thing isn't cheap. It'd be nice to know if it only makes 5hp over the current one so I don't have to buy it.
The S2k factory manifold is a great piece. Unless you’re going all out just use that
Reinstall the S2000 Manifold and Injectors and dyno the motor with that setup, then switch it to the K Manifold and RDX Injectors and do a dyno on that setup to see the benefits/differences between the two
If they were to do that they'd have to do it befor and after the cam swap for it to be worth while
I got a broken screwdriver heated the end bent it over welded it 2 a tube socket put a flat head screwdriver down the end and thats my valve lash tool
At this point I just start laughing when car parts get "lost" in mail...
wooo smart choice on the new cam gear!!!
The Pittsburgh extendable ratchet is God like
I may need that cam set up for my k swapped integra!! Useful video for sure!!!
That’s a lot of labor right there boys! Good job.

I would not recommend to use a hammer to remove the valve retainer
Really enjoy your builds guys. Keep it up 👍👍👍
Should have went with loss motion lifters as well while you are down there but I understand you guys are in a rush and need to get stuff done
"You need a lot of weight on it"...Dave steps on. 😂
Skunk2 ultra street manifold will work nice as well
Do you have the link to the detailed cam swap video you talked about
Hopefully the next shipment hurries up. I’m waiting for one myself.
I think you can just buy different hats for the injectors. They should all be 14mm
There is a trick with using rubber band to hold the rockets together and in place!
Yum cam jam is my favorite!
That tool for adjusting the rockers I got with my s2000. Super useful. Makes me doubly want my own k swapped 240sx then. Hard top and manual valve adjustments?
I see that Evo back there! What is going on with her?!
So wouldn't buying a 40° VTC be safer?
100% correct. I have lost a built k24 to a mis-shift
Are you saying you've never seen shaft mounted rockers befor?
Lol at your tuner. Honda ECUs have logic to occasionally take the VTC gear to 50° to clean them also if you over rev the thing and there's no mechanical stop you'll easily pass 40°. Yikes
That’s compatible with ak24a8 head? Or na
I love jam cams!
Car looks amazing what hood is that ?
Just put the old parts on and have it tuned, this way we'll have an apples to apples comparison.
Gosh that car is mint
What y’all think better dc cams or rr3 cams
Any chance that you guys would be getting a new top end by 4 piston? Those make a lot more power.
“Tell me what would be a better engine for my skyline....a gallow 12 or 24
😝
Yesss, just wondering what to watch with my afternoon coffe, and boom you upload.
How is titanium softer than steel....
I hate when mail companies just happen to lose your package 📦
Any reason why you guys didn’t use a skunk2 ultra street or race manifold
I think they wanted a mani designed to be longitudinal not transverse just so that it fits better
Still no headers?
Rob Dahm says you should watch eBay for it to show up.
Gah!

Did you guys k swap this car just to piss the Internet off? Because its working 😂

@@redek1503 yepp once they put their ego aside they realise how much of boat anchors they had for engines haha!

Dave, did you put a new VS seal on that first valve you showed???
put the s2k manifold back on
choose less crappy background music please. love your content and while I don't typically comment, I do have to mention the crap music track starting around 1:26. hope FedEx finds your package!
its time to get serious build guyss.....go for super light weight reduction.
Did you guys figure out the vibration issue you were having on the track?
Valve *spring* seat, not valve seat. The valve seat is in combustion chamber. 🙄
Real quick... fedex also lost my tires recently . I don’t think it’s a coincidence
Would. a stage 4 4pistons na head be built well enough for a stage 4 drag cartel cam? Or if I want stage 4 cams in my k20A2 do I just need to do the valve train
fedex "lost" the intake manifold
Will the K24 bottom end survive in standard form. Surely that'll need upgrading as well??
They can make sick turbo power on a stock motor so I hardly think the N/A build these guys are doing is going to break it.
Mark Walton should be fine unless they want to rev over 9k rpm in which case you’d want lighter pistons and rods for less reciprocating weight inside the engine
Stock the K24 will rev to 7.5k safe to 8k but I would've thought those cams would need 9k to make the Jam(power).
Expect a rebuild 😁
I have the same set up. I rev to 8600rpm daily for 3 years now. K24a2 block is stout.
What it's that on the cams at 8:33?
Looks like oil?
First comment.... you do know that touching new valvesprings with bare hands is a no no right ? the fat-acids in our skin can wreak havoc with springsteel..........
Is that cam boost friendly??
Yes. Great cam for turbo.
Have u guys do a rsx type s oil pump upgrade on the k24a2 back when swapping the motor? I don't remember it's been a while
Only thing that don’t jam is my gun!!!
Top demais! Já deixei meu like! #rdmotorfilmes #semdodelata

Less talk and more video of you doing the installation on your car would be better 👌🏼
So I'm not the only person FedEx seems to screw over.

🤘🏽 YES I’ve been watching for more videos on this beautiful s14. I! ✌🏽
TF is wrong with fedex they lost my forged carbon fiber steering wheel last week.
you guys should build a k swapped sea doo or something lol.
Rush job: "There is an excellent chance that the workmanship will be compromised as a result."
FedEx is the worst
Do you even lift bro lol
I just can’t get behind throwing a Honda engine into .... anything but a Honda or an Acura.
wow, its been a long time since I've watched any video on this channel..
well, still just making advertising, and not great about making it,
Because we actually take a moment to explain the details of the parts you consider that advertising? BTW we paid for every part in this video...
