I was 130 pounds when I started working out. 4 years ago, it's taken me 4 years to squat 250 pounds barbell. I'm also 150 now. Put on good muscle and I'm stronger. I'm 5 foot 8 for reference. I agree being skinny didn't give me a athletic advantage to perform well!

Bret Contreras is someone who invited the hip thrust. I followed and still do follow him to this day. I had no butt! Now I can say I'm happy with my progress. ❤❤ ❤ good luck! I have a question, would you suggest training full body 2 to three times a week or split upper body and lower body training? I do full body each session since I never know how often I can make it back to the gym in the week. See, I work full time and have 2 kids. I am lucky and happy when I can train 4 times a week. Every time I watch your vids I realize that muscular body like yours hides in mine beneath the layer of fat (I'm very muscular, but also fat, so it looks like I am a strongwoman). Gonna get there 💪💪💪
You dont need to buy preworkout. Have a teaspoon of honey and a pinch of salt/ or have caffeine. Eat carbs, carbs give energy to sustain these kinda workouts. Eat enough protein to heal those muscles. Also mind muscle connection is very important. Start slow, be diligent. Gym is the only place where there is no shortcut.
Can someone explain wearing hoodies shirts and sweatpants over shorts? Just to take them off after 1 set. Maybe I’m just simple. I wear a shirt and leggings and go…why all the hoopla with clothing?

Reverse barbell lunge, explosive step up, flat barbell bench press, this is an explosive forward medball throw on her knees, not sure what it is called, but form really isnt that important here outside of the pushup, db lateral lunge, supermans or prone cobras but she is using a bench at an angle with small plates in each hand. This is a pretty good workout. You could replace the medball throws with explosive pushups if you dont have a partner, and the prone cobras with any horizontal pull movement like a cable row with your hands pronated(palms down)
She is living proof hard work pays off. Keep it up and congrats on the amazing body.
