Love your vids man. Although I myself am a qualified single engine piston acft private pilot , I've had the pleasure , some years ago, to fly the AS350 - the pilot was kind enough to hand me over the controls for some of the cruising part of the flight . I instantly regretted the money spent on fixed wing acft and not rotary ,,,, Granted the heli was already trimmed and was not difficult to maintain attitude and course , I loved the overall feeling and response , I've heard that the AS350 is somewhat "squirrely" but in cruise was pretty easy ...

Very cool. Was wondering where the video was and then noticed the Helitrans chopper to the side during startup. Thanks for the upload.

Nice, big AS350 fan. Have a couple of small scale collective pitch and in the future plan to have a scale 700 size AS350. TNX for the upload.

I have thought about it. But I need to look into it more closely. There is often bad no reception when flying.

These videos are amazing! Both from a flying and video perspective! What is your video/audio set up?

Thanks :) Its a gopro at 2.7k 60 fps, flat colors. I have a small Røde mic inside the headset of the helmet to record comms, thats connected via aux to my phone.

Perfect sunrise commute and what a beautiful property. If you could choose an approach to fly all day, that one is a good choice! I've been practicing my normal and steep approaches in the R22 this week, finally able to stick a spot and actually transition into the hover without my instructor grabbing the controls. I'm still really tense when close to the ground, any tips for a 6 hr student?

Hehe no just keep working. That sounds pretty good for a new student. I'm working on a new Bush landing episode. Hopefully out soon. Maybe you will have some benefit from it :)

@@UpsideDownWash Sweet thanks! I took some tips from your snow landing video recently, was cool to see the differences in visibility morning/daytime and the backpack trick. I'll be watching!

@@seanmacdonald8476 Was just reading your comment and realised that a little over 2 years ago (Nov 2020) I did my first solo in the R22 with 26 hours logged at the time. 2 years later and I have an R44 type rating and 135 total hours with at least 50 of those hours as PIC. Currently about to take my first 4 ATPL exams in February. I'm sure you've come a long way since you posted your comment but I just wanted to say keep going because it gets better all the time and it's so cool to look back and see how far you have come when if like me, you thought you'd never 'get there' at the time! :)

@@nizza594 that’s awesome congrats. I’m about in the same spot as you. Last night I flew in the 22 for the first time in a while since doing my instrument in the 44 . 2 hour night flight with full moon. Hit all my spots and had a really good night for radio work with Denver Tracon. Truly have come a ways thanks for the words and good luck!

@@seanmacdonald8476 I'm studying the helicopter and airplane flying handbook and looking to have my PPL (A) by year end and do the helicopter add on next year. I'm not in flight school yet.
