Get it fast. It sold out online and they only made just over 3700. I've had mine for a couple of weeks and it's amazing. It needs USB C and it will stay lit for as long as it's turned on. Highly recommend.
That came out looking fantastic!!! Totally looks like a prop! Thank you so much for the glue tip. I'm going to use that on an Iron Man helmet that the face is too shiny. I was planning to hit it with a scuff pad. Your idea is far superior and reversable.
Excellent work, huge improvement in "movie vibes". I've got one coming, thinking about painting it completely different color (white or chrome?) and distressing for a trash heap display.
This is awesome, I was waiting for someone to make a video on weathering this 3PO head. Also, are u planning on weathering the inside? I think that would be a rlly cool follow up video
I think you could have gotten the same weathered effect just dabbing the glue around and letting it dry instead of smearing it to death with layers, then taking away.
Very COOL !!! did you know that in movies YES even Star Wars if there is an immovable object That is shiny and distracting in the background or something shiny on the main character they spray it with antiperspirant like Arid Extra Dry to temporarily dull it. ?
That really came out looking FANTASIC. OMG... Disney online Store is currently sold out. Do you have any intel if they will be restocking? I hate buying 2nd hand from eBay scalpers.
@@tigerclaw4537 sorry I don’t have any intel yet. I know they are readily available at the parks. Maybe they will restock for Black Friday and Christmas
Definitely came out 🔥. One shiny and one dulled out I think is the way to go. At $100 or so they’re cheap enough to do that without killing your pocket. 2 x 👍
It says its water washable Elmers Glue. I know this is considered PVA glue but it has a different consistency than the one I used for my foam armor. Super cheap too. This one bottle ran me under $3.00 and I didn't even use half of it to do the weathering.
Hoping that this C3PO head will be available elsewhere, as I will never be able to get to Galaxy's Edge, and money may be available for the head, but not for the trip and ticket to enter Disneyland/World Galaxy's Edge.
I mean to be fair how shiny C3PO is depnds on what scene he is in... As even in a new hope I'm pretty sure in the rewards cermony he is this shiny but walking though the desert he is as dull as your end result... Which I do think is the only sence in liove action Star wars he is the same shininess as your weathing job... As I think he is only the same level of shiny/dull in like 2 scenes in all of live action star wars... Both being those wondering the deswert scence in a new hope... Like on the blockaide runner he is shiny not to the level he can get but still... And even in the catina and on the millnum falcan he isn't that dull anymore... So yeah thinking about it C3PO has the most "costume varants" of any character in star wars despite you know having a very uniform look only surpassed by R2D2 which doesn't really have any verations. Which the extreme attent to detail is a major selling point of star wars... Which C3PO showcases given his shiny/dullness changes based on the context of the scene he is which is extremely expensive and requires care.... Which is the case even under Disney's ownership makimg it one of the few things that is consistent regardless of era of Star wars.
This is in fact the first video I've seen about the C-3PO head. I had no idea that it even existed.

Very cool custom weathering 😮😮 great video 👍😎
Thanks 👍
WOW! Really good job man, after weathering C-3PO looks dope 🔥🔥. More content of weathering different stuff from SW would be cool
@@hubertjaniec2698 thank you! Let’s see what else I can dirty up lol
Beautiful job! Though I can hear 3PO objecting, “Gold doesn’t rust!”

Awesome job bro, I would have never thought to use glue

Maybe, but the way I did it gives it a random look. Its cheap enough to give your way a try and see if you achieve the same effect.
You killed it bro
@@Millenniumworkshop thanks for the help!
Love what you did but feel like you should have used the age old art technique of less is more 😉
@@fredstarNZ thanks. I’m happy with it. I can always take some off if I change my mind later.
@ exactly. Excellent technique though. Now I need to order a second but they are all sold out online and I live in New Zealand 🇳🇿

Right! I may have to get another one
That turned out sick, bro. Will you weather the guts?
Thank you! Yes I am going to try to get a second one to do that. Otherwise I will just do it to this one.
So is it full strength PVA glue or watered down? Looks great. Good job.

@ full strength. Right out of the bottle
Sold out already 😢
I was disappointed the whole thing was plastic. I got one in Japan what was made of brass.
At $100, I wouldn't expect this to be brass. I'm sure the one you got in Japan is incredible though. Probably cost a lot more as well.

I'm sure it will be. There were plenty at the park. I bet they do another run online for the holidays.
It's reported to be limited to 3720. Either get one from ebay or a disney shopper. I got mine from a disney shopper and it was $178 shipped

Yep this is true. But I like that tatooine look. Like the scene when he first enters Jabbas palace.
